- **Retail** (Interface 120100) — covers retail.

- **Classic** (Interface 11509, 20506, 38002, 40402, 50504) — covers Classic

  Era/"Forever", TBC Classic, Wrath Classic, Cataclysm Classic, and MoP Classic.

If the addon doesn't show up in the AddOns list after a patch, the Interface

number is probably just out of date — see the "About the Interface version"

section in the README.

 

- Renamed the addon from StepCounter to **MileMarker** (folder, files,

  SavedVariables, frame names).

- Added /mm as a short alias for /steps (both work identically).

- Added a lock/unlock toggle for the window's position (menu checkbox +

  /steps lock / /steps unlock).

- Added a full English translation of the README (README.en.md).

- Added a size slider (50%–200%) to the right-click menu to scale the window.

- Added Russian (ru) language support, with locale auto-detection.

- Added German (de), French (fr), and Spanish (es) language support.

- Language is now auto-selected on first run based on the client's locale.

- Gave the window a styled backdrop (dark, semi-transparent background, gold

  border) and a small title label.

- Added a right-click options menu (language, unit, reset, hide).

- Distance no longer counts while mounted or on a flight path.

- Added the ability to switch the displayed unit between steps, kilometers,

  and miles (/steps unit steps|km|mi).

- Large numbers are now abbreviated (e.g. 10.2K, 1.5M) so the display

  doesn't get unreadably long during a long session.

- The command list is now printed to chat automatically on load.

- Added bilingual support: English (default) and Norwegian, switchable with

  /steps lang en|no.

- Initial release: a draggable window showing an estimated step count, based

  on distance traveled (speed × time) divided by an assumed average stride

  length.

- Slash commands: /steps reset, /steps session, /steps show,

  /steps hide.
