What's new

MikScrollingBattleText Continued 1.60.01

A continued build of Mik's Scrolling Battle Text. Everything you know is still there: scroll areas, event settings, triggers, cooldowns, fonts, sounds and profiles.

New: combat feed for clients without a readable combat log

On clients that protect the combat log (Forever 1.60.1), MSBT now rebuilds its damage and healing feed from the sources that are still readable and shows it the way it always did.

  • Outgoing damage, healing and misses with spell names and icons, incoming damage and misses, crits, glancing and crushing hits, blocked, absorbed and resisted hits.
  • Spells are named by your casts; procs and damage shields such as Thorns or Lightning Shield are learned after their first fight and named at once from then on.
  • Damage over time and heals over time are shown as ticks. Overheal is shown when the totals are readable.
  • Killing blows that the client never reports are recovered from the damage totals at the end of the fight.
  • Learned spells are stored per character.

Commands

  • /msbt feed shows what the feed is doing.
  • /msbt feed export opens a report to copy when something looks wrong.
  • /msbt feed off and /msbt feed on switch between the feed and the previous display.

Known limits

  • The blocked, absorbed and resisted amounts are not reported by the client; the trailer shows the word only, except for your own blocks.
  • Overkill is not available.
  • In groups, hits without an action of yours are not shown.
  • Pets, groups and instances have not been tested yet.
