What's new
MidnightHealerHelper 2.1.6.2
Debug Logging, Native Combat Auras & Shield Bar
New: Debug Menu
-
Added a dedicated Debug page to the settings menu, also accessible with
/mhh debug. -
Added an Enable debug logging toggle that takes effect immediately, independently of Apply and Revert.
-
Logging is disabled by default. The logging preference and the latest 500 entries are retained across
/reload. -
Added Capture snapshot, Refresh, Copy log and Clear log controls.
-
Added a scrollable viewer showing the latest 100 entries, with an export window for copying the complete retained log.
-
Added an English guide through the page’s ? button.
-
The logger records combat transitions, throttled aura events, renderer-status changes, native aura setup failures and MHH blocked-action notices.
-
Logs exclude restricted combat values, aura payloads, macros and profile contents.
Native Combat Aura Rendering
-
Added a Retail 12.1 native combat renderer for general Buffs and Debuffs, supported custom buff icons, and glows triggered by an active buff.
-
During combat, Blizzard’s AuraContainer handles supported spell and caster filtering, icon updates, timers and stacks internally.
-
Custom icon groups sharing the same anchor use a shared native flow layout.
-
The existing MHH renderer resumes outside combat.
-
Fixed aura icons being discarded solely because their texture asset was restricted.
Aura Diagnostics
-
Added
/mhhaurasfor public aura-renderer setup and ownership diagnostics. -
Added
/mhh aurastatus [unit]to report manual aura matches, restricted identity or caster checks, and manual glow-layer status. -
Diagnostic commands do not modify profiles or click-casting.
Shield Bar
-
Added a total absorb overlay to the health bar.
-
Added independent visibility, thickness, color and transparency settings for Party, Raid, Tank, Focus and Pet Frames.
-
Existing Shield Bar settings are used as defaults.
-
Added settings previews and English help.
-
Restricted absorb values are passed directly to WoW’s native status-bar widget.
Current Combat Limitations
-
Native combat sorting may differ from custom aura-list priority.
-
Native combat displays do not use MHH’s Lua collision solver or displayed-instance Buff exclusions. A custom buff may therefore also appear in general Buffs during combat.
-
Supported active-buff glows use their configured fixed color and opacity during combat; timer-based glow fading is not implemented by the native combat adapter.
-
Missing-aura warnings, nearly-expired warnings and custom friendly-debuff matching remain dependent on accessible information. Unknown or restricted data is never treated as confirmed absence or expiry.
Compatibility & Profile Preservation
-
Preserved existing profiles, SavedVariables, actionbutton assignments and secure click-casting.
-
Updated the addon version to 2.1.6.2.
After updating, use /reload to load the new version.
