v4.7.2
What's new
Midnight Helper 4.7.2: a complete key block for every class
An honest word first
We found these gaps after releasing the key block in 4.7.0. That is not how we want to work: a new feature should be tested on many classes before it reaches you. So from now on, bigger changes will first come out as a beta release.
Want to help test new things before everyone else? In the CurseForge app, set the release type for Midnight
Helper to Beta. You will then get beta versions as soon as they are out. Feedback is very welcome: /mh report in
game, or a comment here. Prefer only finished versions? Then you do not have to change anything.
What this update fixes
The key block from 4.7.0 knew most of your spells, but not all of them. Some talents and class spells had no place, for example Fury of Elune for Balance Druids or Shadowfury for Warlocks. This update fills those gaps.
Every spell gets a key
- About 100 spells added across all 13 classes, checked against Blizzard's own game data for patch 12.1. A few examples: Shadowfury, Demonic Circle and Summon Doomguard (Warlock), Execution Sentence (Retribution), Reaper's Mark (Death Knight), Slice and Dice (Rogue), Fury of Elune and Force of Nature (Balance), Devastate (Protection Warrior).
- About 20 old spells removed that no longer exist in Midnight, such as Steel Trap, Living Bomb and Repentance.
- Spells with no place on blocks A, B and C now go on a free Alt key in block D. Mark of the Wild, Revive and similar buttons used to be left out. They never push anything off your main keys, and your own things on D stay where they are.
- Spells Midnight Helper does not know yet (for example after a patch) also go on a free Alt key, and the window tells you which ones they are.
Placed the block before? Open /mh block. Midnight Helper offers the new spells by itself; press Place it. Or
press Undo and place the block again.
Smaller fixes for the key block
- No more double copies of your spells on block D.
- If several characters share one Edit Mode layout, the guide now offers each of them a layout of its own, so a change on one character no longer moves the bars of another.
- The play card shows the key from your key block, also for spells you have on two buttons.
NEW: Ready for the raid?
Type /mh ready. A small window shows what you need for a raid night of about four hours, with what you carry and, in
red, how many to buy. Choose Learning a new boss or Farm at the top. Flasks and potions from a raid cauldron, and
the Warlock's Demonic Healthstone, now count too.
