MarkerBar – Quick World & Target Markers

Built for WoW 12.0.7 (Midnight)

MarkerBar adds a small, movable bar with the five most-used raid symbols – Circle, Triangle, Diamond, Cross (X), and Skull – plus a clear-all button and a mode toggle.

World mode: Click a symbol to activate the placement cursor, then click the ground to drop the world marker exactly where you want it. Ideal for raid leaders marking positions, safe spots, or spread assignments.

Raid mode: Click a symbol to put the target marker on your current target – fast marking for Mythic+ pulls and raid adds.

Clear button: Removes all world markers and the target icons from you, your target, and your party members with a single click.

Features:

• Movable bar (drag with left mouse button), position is saved between sessions
• Toggle the bar with /mb
• Tooltips and chat hints, e.g. when you lack raid assist or have no target
• Fully compatible with the Midnight (12.0) API restrictions: since SetRaidTarget and the macrotext attribute are now protected, MarkerBar creates six character macros (MB_TM2–MB_TM8 and MB_Loeschen) on login and drives them through secure buttons – the only approach still permitted for addons

Please note:

• You need 6 free character-specific macro slots. Don't rename or delete the MB_ macros – the addon recreates them on next login if needed
• World markers require being in a group; in raids, only the leader and assistants can place markers (this is a game restriction, not an addon limitation)
• Switching between World and Raid mode is not possible during combat (secure attribute change); the addon queues the switch and applies it right after combat ends

MarkerBar fügt eine kompakte, verschiebbare Leiste mit den fünf wichtigsten Raid-Symbolen hinzu – Kreis, Dreieck, Raute, Kreuz (X) und Totenkopf – plus Löschen-Button und Modus-Umschalter.

Welt-Modus: Symbol anklicken, dann auf den Boden klicken – die Weltmarkierung landet genau dort. Perfekt für Raidleiter zum Markieren von Positionen und Safe Spots.

Raid-Modus: Symbol anklicken und das Zielsymbol landet auf deinem aktuellen Ziel – schnelles Markieren für Mythic+ und Raid-Adds.

Löschen-Button: Entfernt alle Weltmarkierungen sowie die Zielsymbole von dir, deinem Ziel und deiner Gruppe mit einem Klick.

Funktionen: Verschiebbare Leiste mit gespeicherter Position, ein-/ausblendbar per /mb, Tooltips und Chat-Hinweise (z. B. bei fehlenden Assistentenrechten). Voll kompatibel mit den 12.0-API-Beschränkungen: Das Addon legt beim Login sechs Charakter-Makros an (MB_TM2–MB_TM8 und MB_Loeschen) und steuert sie über sichere Buttons – der einzige in Midnight noch erlaubte Weg.

Hinweise: 6 freie Charakter-Makroplätze nötig; die MB_-Makros nicht umbenennen. Weltmarker erfordern eine Gruppe (im Schlachtzug Leiter-/Assistentenrechte) – das ist eine Spielbeschränkung. Der Moduswechsel ist im Kampf gesperrt und wird nach Kampfende automatisch nachgeholt.
