Mentor — your leveling mentor for WoW Forever
Mentor tells you, at every level, which talent to take, what to learn at your trainer, what gear to look for and where to get it, what to craft and what not to sell — for your class and spec, in one window.
🌐 English and Spanish. Mentor follows your game language: Spanish on esES/esMX clients, English on any other. NPC, quest, zone and dungeon names show in English too, and commands work in both languages. WoW Forever is in beta: everything beyond the current level cap is marked as beta / subject to change.

Features
Leveling guide
- Talent plan level by level on Forever's talent trees, updated to the latest tree changes (Warrior and Druid changes from 1–2 October included).
- Talent tree view: the three branches drawn with the game's own art, the guide's build already filled in and your own points marked (green = done, gold = your next point), with the full level-by-level plan below and the final build at the top right.
- Many specs offer builds to choose from (e.g. dual wield or two-hander, tank or solo finish). Change your spec, build or professions at any time with the [change] links in each tab.
- Trainer reminders with the nearest trainer, class and weapon quests, guide weapons by DPS.
- "Learn the guide's abilities" button on the trainer window (class and profession trainers): learns everything the guide wants at your level in priority order, as far as your gold goes, after a confirmation with the full list and price.
- Weapon skills: your skill with each of the guide's weapon types (flagged when low), and a one-time alert when your next weapon is a type you can't use yet, with the nearest weapon master on the map.
- Rotation and class tips for each spec, plus class reminders: buffs, forms and stances, Hunter aspects and traps, Rogue poisons and stealth, Warlock shards, Mage conjured food and gems, mana drinks for casters, healing tips for healers.
- Stat priority with your live values and level-60 goals.
Gear log
- Best pieces for your level and faction, slot by slot, ranked with your spec's stat weights.
- Only proposes pieces that actually beat what you are wearing and that you can get yourself.
- Tabs: Active / Other professions (crafted by a profession your character doesn't have) / Recipe to get (your profession, but the recipe drops from enemies and you don't know it yet) / Obtained / Removed.
- Crafted pieces tell you where to get the recipe: which vendor sells it (with map waypoint), which quest rewards it or which enemy drops it — and whether you already know it.
- Detail panel: how to get it, where (zone, coordinates, distance), quest chain progress, item stats, plus Track, Show on map, Try on and Remove buttons. Source filter (quests, dungeons and enemies, vendors, professions).
Indicators
- Green upgrade arrow on bag items that beat your gear (default bags, bank and Bagnon); grey arrow for guide pieces you can't wear yet; star for your crafted set; lock for reserved materials.
- Small marks on the character sheet slots (best equipped / upgrade available / next one coming). Click a mark to jump to that slot in the gear log.
- XP bar shading: the XP you'll get by turning in your completed quests (gold), and optionally the quests still in progress (blue), with a tooltip.
Map and quests
- Waypoint arrow to any piece's source, plus item icons on the world map and minimap (drawn behind the quest "!" and "?").
- Quest pieces follow the quest: where to pick it up → where to do the objectives → where to turn it in, and the next step if it is part of a quest chain.
- Dungeon quests point to the dungeon entrance (ForeverDungeonJournal is used if installed).
- Locations are also learned while you play: quest givers, vendors, enemies you loot and dungeon entrances. Item links shared in any chat are learned too.
Dungeons
- Dungeons tab with every dungeon by level (yours in green), including Forever's new instances (marked, with an approximate level).
- For each one: entrance on the map, the quests for your faction (done, in your log or from which level, who gives them, with map link) and the guide's loot there for each slot, with Track links.
Tracker
- Follows the best missing piece of each slot automatically, or any piece you choose.
- Small on-screen list with source, distance and quest status. "Obtained!" alert when you get one.
Professions
- Detects your professions or lets you pick them (
/mentor prof): Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring, plus Herbalism, Mining and Skinning. - Leveling route with materials, the crafted gear set for your spec, and "DON'T SELL!" tooltips on reserved materials.
Settings
- Settings tab in the main window: turn every alert on or off one by one (level up, class quests, gear, vendors, flashing, drinks, buffs, forms, poisons, ammo and pet, shards, weapon skills, new version…), the XP bar shading, map pins and character sheet marks.
- Consumable, shield and combat form alerts start off: the first time you open Mentor with each character it opens on Settings so you can pick what you want.
- The same alert never repeats until 15 s after its banner is gone. Alerts show near the top of the screen, above the level-up banner.
- New version notice: Mentor tells you when a guild or group mate has a newer version.
- The window never opens by itself.
Simulator
- Any class, faction, spec and level: see that character's gear, talents, abilities and stats, and try the whole set on in the dressing room.
Look
- Parchment style using the game's own textures (
/mentor styleswitches to a dark style). - Minimap button with your character's portrait, and a small compact window (
/mentor mini).

Notes
- Stat weights come from each spec's guide, tuned for leveling (Stamina counts more than in raid weights; tanks put Stamina first). Crit and hit values are calculated from Classic rules and are not yet confirmed in Forever.
- Talents that Forever added by server hotfix show their English name in game, also on Spanish clients.
- Some Classic names and quest data are marked with
*until the game confirms them. - Bug reports and suggestions are welcome in the comments.
Credits
- Classic data (English and Spanish NPC and quest names; where quests start, are done and are turned in; quest chains; recipe sources; dungeon entrances and quests) from the Questie database.
- Bag marks compatible with Bagnon.
- Dungeon quests use ForeverDungeonJournal if it is installed (optional).
- Item and location data from Wowhead (WoW Forever) and the game client.
