MDT Auto Route

Turns MDT into a compact route follower: auto-zooms to your current pull and advances as packs die.

Your MDT route, on autopilot. When your key starts, MDT shrinks down to a small map window and follows the route for you. No more alt-tabbing to check what the next pack is.

Features

  • Compact mode: shrinks the MDT window and strips it down to the map and the pull list. Preset buttons, toolbar, bottom panel and navigation sidebar are hidden, the pull list gets the full panel height and auto-scrolls to the current pull.
  • Auto-zoom: the map zooms and centers on the current pull, and switches floors on its own when the route moves to another sublevel.
  • Auto-advance: when the current pack is dead, the next pull gets selected and framed automatically. Chain pulls and out-of-order kills are handled.
  • Progress tracking works in Midnight: combat log GUIDs are secret values inside M+ since 12.0, so kill tracking runs on scenario criteria (enemy forces count + boss criteria) instead. Per-mob death tracking is still used automatically in content where the combat log is readable.
  • Boss resync: engaging a boss snaps the tracker to that boss pull, no matter how much trash got skipped or forgotten on the way. The missing forces vs your route are shown as a warning under the control bar ("Missing 3.2% (24 forces)") so you know you'll have to make it up somewhere.
  • The window stays up during the whole run: dying or pressing Escape won't close it (Blizzard closes all panels on death; not this one).
  • Crash/DC recovery: kill progress is saved and replayed after a /reload or disconnect mid-key.
  • Route edits mid-run are picked up automatically, progress is re-applied to the new version of the route.
  • Small control bar on the MDT title bar: previous/next pull, pull counter with live forces %, re-zoom, compact toggle.
  • Everything the tracker does is written to a persistent journal (/mar log). If a run went sideways, you can read exactly what happened afterwards.
  • No configuration needed. Install it, run a key. Every behavior (auto-start, auto-zoom, auto-advance, compact, window scale, zoom padding) can be toggled or tuned via slash commands if you want.

Slash Commands

  • /mar - start/stop route tracking manually (e.g. for a non-keystone run)
  • /mar compact - toggle the compact window
  • /mar next / /mar prev / /mar goto N - move the tracker by hand
  • /mar zoom - re-frame the current pull
  • /mar reset - reset progress to the start of the route
  • /mar scale 0.6 / /mar maxzoom 6 / /mar pad 40 - size tuning
  • /mar auto | advance | autozoom | autocompact on/off - toggle automation
  • /mar status - current state
  • /mar log [N|clear] - show the event journal, /mar debug for live output

Good to know

  • The tracker follows whatever preset is selected in MDT, so pick your route before the key starts (MDT can't switch dungeons during an active key).
  • Multi-floor dungeons: browse each floor of your route once in MDT (any time, even in town) so enemy data gets cached. It's kept across sessions.
  • If your group skips a routed pack, the tracker can lag one pack behind until the next boss resyncs it.
