A roleplay session recorder for World of Warcraft Retail.

Max Adventure Journal Retail records your gameplay session and turns your journey into an immersive narrative chronicle. It tracks zones, quests, dungeons, raids, companions, PvE/PvP events, deaths, loot, recovery, gold changes, and personal notes, then generates a readable roleplay report that can be copied, archived, or shared with your guild.

/maj style classic|heroic|military - set narrative style
/maj lang - switch language between English and Italian
/maj gdrsay - enable/disable occasional public GDR/RP /say lines
/maj saytest - test the GDR/RP Say system
/maj saytest combat|travel|npc|player|drink|vendor - test a specific GDR/RP phrase category
/maj export - open the latest report
/maj report - open the latest report
/maj history - show archived sessions
/maj history <number> - open a specific archived session
/maj latest - open the latest archived session
/maj older - move to an older archived session
/maj newer - move to a newer archived session
/maj guild - send the narrative-only report to guild chat, only after recording stops
/maj status - show current recording status in chat
/maj hub - show/hide the mini hub
/maj lockhub - lock the mini hub
/maj unlockhub - unlock and move the mini hub
/maj mapbutton - show/hide the minimap menu button
/maj reset - reset saved journal data

Mini HUD:
- REC / STOP: start or stop the current session.
- Report: open the current or latest report.
- Menu: open the addon menu.
- Hist: open Session History.
- Style: cycle narrative style.
- EN / IT: switch language.
- GDR ON/OFF: enable or disable GDR/RP Say.
- Guild: send the narrative report to guild chat after the session is stopped.

Minimap button:
- Left Click: open or close the addon menu.
- Right Click: start or stop recording.
- Drag: move the button around the minimap frame.

New in V1.2.3:
- README updated to match the current Retail release.
- Version metadata aligned with the V1.2.x feature set.

New in V1.2.2:
- Fixed Guild Chat sharing on Retail.
- Added a timed message queue so multiple guild messages are sent one at a time instead of being blocked by Retail chat throttling.
- Added protection against starting a second guild-send queue while one is already active.

New in V1.2.1:
- Fixed character identity handling.
- The addon now checks character name, realm, race, class and level when starting a session.
- If a saved active session belongs to another character, it is discarded and a new correct session is started.

New in V1.2:
- Added Dungeon Chronicle Mode.
- Dungeon/instance sessions now receive a more appropriate narrative structure.
- Guild reports for dungeon runs are shorter and cleaner.
- Companions are displayed in a more readable format.

New in V1.1:
- Expanded GDR/RP Say vocabulary.
- Added /me-style narrative actions.
- Added player/NPC interaction phrases.
- Added target-aware roleplay phrase templates where available.

Retail installation:
Install in:
World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\MaxAdventureJournalRetail

Then reload the UI with:
/reload

If the addon is marked out of date:
Run:
/dump select(4, GetBuildInfo())

Then update the Interface value in:
MaxAdventureJournalRetail.toc
