What's new
marvolo QoL 0.6.1
The first upload since 0.4.2. It contains everything from the unreleased versions 0.5.0 and 0.6.0.
World of Warcraft: Forever support
marvolo QoL now runs in World of Warcraft: Forever as well as in Retail. One download for both game versions; the game picks the right files by itself.
In Forever, upgrade arrows compare ranged weapons, wands, thrown weapons and relics against the ranged slot.
Features that don't exist in a game version are hidden there automatically (e.g. loot specialization and the reagent bag in Forever).
The options header shows which game version is running.
Safer event registration: an event that one game version doesn't know can no longer break the addon.
New: Health & Resource Text
Shows your health and your primary resource as percentage text, e.g. `80% 60%`. Made for minimal UIs without a player frame.
Small gold labels (HP, Mana, Rage, ...) above each value, with adjustable spacing. Labels can be turned off.
Health in a custom color or your class color. Every resource has its own color (Blizzard's colors by default, with a more readable mana blue).
Every value has its own hide rule: never hide, hide at or above a threshold (e.g. full health and mana) or hide at or below a threshold (e.g. rage at 0%). The rules also work with Blizzard's secret combat values.
Each resource can be switched off on its own, e.g. energy in cat form.
Hidden in combat by default ("Show in combat" turns it on) and hidden while you have a target ("Hide with a target", on by default).
If only one value would be visible: show both together, or show the visible one alone in the center.
Side by side or stacked, with font, font size and outline options.
Place it by exact X/Y position, or use "Under the character" to put it right below your character.
Move mode: a blue frame above all action bars. Drag with the mouse or nudge with the arrow keys (Shift: 10 px). Values that would be hidden show faded while you move it. Move mode ends with Done, Esc, right-click, at the start of combat or after /reload.
New: Graphics page
Hidden graphics console settings with slider, number input and reset to Blizzard's default: image sharpening, grass density and distance, view distance, horizon fog, small distant objects, particle density, weather, ambient occlusion and maximum camera distance.
Each setting shows its estimated FPS impact (low, medium, high).
"Reset all" restores all of Blizzard's defaults at once.
Settings are only written when a value really changes, so clicking a slider or leaving a field unchanged no longer makes the game re-render.
Diagnosis option: reports every game setting change in the chat, with the time and whether marvolo QoL caused it.
DataTexts
Create as many panels as you like, e.g. coordinates and time under the minimap and repair status somewhere else. Your existing panel becomes the first one.
Panel list with Edit and Delete. New panels get a suggested name. Edit expands the panel's appearance, position and values right below it.
Default appearance for all panels (font, size, outline, text color, background). Each panel can override single values and go back to the default with one click.
"Lock all panels" unlocks, moves and locks every panel at once.
Pick the values in a dropdown with checkboxes and reorder them by drag and drop or with arrow buttons.
New values: bag slots (free/total, Retail can include the reagent bag), gold (shows silver or copper while you have no gold yet), coordinates, zone, experience with rested bonus, movement speed, friends online and guild members online.
New click actions: bags and gold open your bags, coordinates and zone the world map, friends the friends list, guild the guild window.
Tooltip
New option: show unit tooltips only while Alt, Ctrl or Shift is held, optionally for interface tooltips too.
The tooltip module has its own on/off switch.
Options and minimap button
New minimap button: click opens the options, drag it around the minimap. Hide it in the options; `/mqol minimap` brings it back.
Rebuilt options window: modules on the left with a green or grey status dot, settings in clean cards on the right and the same card order on every page.
General page with version, author, website and an on/off switch for every module.
Live preview window next to the options for the DataText panels and the health/resource text.
Every module with text offers the same styling: font (client default, built-in fonts and SharedMedia fonts), font size and outline.
Option texts wrap instead of being cut off, also in narrow windows.
German option texts now use proper umlauts.
