Market
Trade the auction house like a market. Market is a clean, local trading terminal for World of Warcraft: Forever.
Install it and play. Market records the auction house prices you see, your trades, your stock and your gold while you play, and turns them into a clean trading workspace. It has no library dependencies, never connects to the internet, and never trades for you.
Beta for the Forever beta (1.60.1). Market is under active development. Back up
WTF/Account/<account>/SavedVariables/market.luabefore upgrading between versions.
Features
Market bar and Terminal
A small draggable Market bar sits on screen. Click it (or type /market) to open the trading workspace:
- Overview: your pinned watchlist with each item's lowest ask and its age.
- Trading: a chart of the asks Market has seen for the selected item over 6H, 1D, 7D or All, with pan and zoom, listed supply, your own buy and sell zones, and your trade activity for that item.
- Gold: the Gold Ledger (below).
Search any item Market has seen, pin it to your watchlist, or shift-click an item link after /market to open its chart.
Gold Ledger
See where your gold comes from and where it goes, for Today, 7 days, 30 days or this session. Income, expense and net are broken down by source: quests, vendors, repairs, loot, auctions, mail, trades, travel, training, guild, barber and crafting orders. Anything Market can't tie to a single source is shown as unattributed, not guessed.
Positions ledger
Trading opens on Positions: each asset's position size, average cost and P&L. Market records your auction house buys, listings, cancels and sales (read from the "Auction successful" mail invoice, without opening or taking your mail), including the AH cut and deposits. /market trades shows net realized P&L and break-even prices. If a cost is unknown, Market says so instead of showing zero.
Bag value
Open your bags and a small tab under your gold shows what your bags (and bank, once you've opened it) are worth at the last asks Market saw. Click it for a breakdown of your most valuable items.
Tooltips
Item tooltips get Market's last-seen ask and its age, plus the value of the hovered stack, right under the vendor sell price. Hovering never queries the server.
Stock and farming records
Market tracks what you loot, what you hold in bags and bank, and your session's money changes, so /market items and /market stock can tell you what a farming session actually produced.

How prices are collected
Market listens to the normal auction house results you browse. Opening the auction house allows one guarded scan attempt, with a 15-minute cooldown that survives reloads. It never searches on login, while farming, or in combat, and never retries on its own. There's also a manual Refresh for the selected commodity.
Privacy and fair play
- No network. WoW add-ons can't reach the internet, and Market doesn't try.
- No automation. Market never buys, posts, cancels, opens mail or takes mail for you.
- Your data stays on your PC in WoW's SavedVariables (
marketDB, saved toSavedVariables/market.luawhen you log out or/reload). - Market doesn't store other players' names, chat or guild messages.
Optional add-ons
- Auctionator is optional. If it's installed, Market can read its cached prices for your bag items. It's never required.
Install
Install with the CurseForge app, or extract the zip so you end up with Interface/AddOns/market/market.toc. If the game was running, restart it fully, then enable market in the AddOns list. No setup needed.
