MapScaler

MapScaler is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon designed to give you full control over the scale and appearance of the main world map. It provides a cleaner, more compact map layout.

Features

• Custom Map Scaling: Easily scale the world map using a slider in the default WoW options menu.
• Smart Mode Detection: Custom scaling is only applied when the map is maximized. The minimized quest log map remains at default size.
• Hide Map Border: Option to hide the heavy Blizzard frame graphics for a minimalist appearance.
• No Background Darkening: Automatically removes the full-screen black overlay behind the map, keeping your surrounding world visible.

Configuration

Configure the addon directly in-game: Options -> Addons -> MapScaler

• Map Size: Slider from 30% to 100%.
• Hide Map Border: Checkbox to toggle frame visibility.

Compatibility

• Supports modern WoW Retail clients.
• Includes English and German localizations (selected automatically based on client language).
