MacroForge 7.4.0
What's new
One window, Blizzard style, and a real WoW Forever release: 190 templates checked in the client, a live Test, one-click fixes.
One window
- No floating window left: Templates, History, Share (import, export, copy, send) and Duplicates are pages of the main window. The title shows where you are; Back or Esc returns to what was open, unsaved edits included. /mf trash and /mf sets open their tabs.
- Editor drawer: Spell, Command, Conditions and the icon picker open next to the code, in place of the analysis. One at a time; its button, the close button or Esc brings the analysis back. Click or Enter inserts at the cursor; the icon picker shows the macro's own spell icons on top.
- Everything is built from Blizzard templates (insets, ScrollBox lists, search boxes, UIPanel buttons, menus).
- Status line: saves and creations show at the bottom of the window instead of piling up in chat; Ctrl+S on an unchanged macro writes nothing.
- What's new is a page (logo, title, features with icons): the ? button, the link on Home or /mf news.
- Blizzard's /macro window gets a MacroForge button: it opens the selected macro here (what you typed there is saved first).
- Flat logo on the minimap button and in the addon list.
Editing
- Live test: click Test once and the result follows your target, focus, the unit under your cursor, combat and the keys you hold. Click again (Stop test) to turn it off; saving keeps it on.
- Clickable analysis: click an issue to select its line, click "Fix" to correct a mistyped command or a name over 16 characters. Line numbers now match the gutter (blank lines used to be skipped). "Did you mean" prefers macro commands: /csat suggests /cast, not another addon's /cat.
- Import anything: one window takes a MacroForge code or the plain text of a macro copied from a guide; the name comes from its first line or the spell it casts.
- Drafts follow their macro by name instead of its slot, a new macro's draft is offered back, and Home has a "Resume the draft" button.
- Name and code lengths count characters, not bytes ("Éclair mouseover" is 16 characters).
WoW Forever
- 148 Forever templates for its 9 classes (stances, traps, totems, pets, seals, curses, druid forms...), 16 to 21 per class plus 11 universal, every spell checked in the client, names and descriptions translated.
- Any class: the Class button browses every class of the client. Templates whose spells the client lacks are hidden, and the class list walks class IDs (they have holes: the druid is 11, it was missing).
- Conditions: an unknown condition is always true on Forever (checked in game), so pvptalent, advflyable and petbattle are flagged by the analyzer, and the builder leaves them out with vehicleui and canexitvehicle.
French
- Every string has its accents back and the interface says "vous", like Blizzard's French UI.
Fixes
- Clicking the ? button crashed the 1.60.1 client (a Blizzard menu bug): it now opens What's new directly.
- The mouse wheel works over the drawer lists.
