4.13.0 — 2026-09-20
The largest content release so far: the library grows from 1,251 to 1,525 macros, and every one of the 276 new entries was verified against Blizzard's own DB2 tables for each live build rather than written from memory. Nine language packs are complete again, with 285 new descriptions and 142 new caveats translated and independently reviewed.
Added
- 276 macros. Every class gained entries; the biggest additions are Mage (40), Paladin (32), Hunter (27), Rogue (22) and Druid (21), plus 47 general and racial macros. By client: Era 98, Anniversary/TBC 110, Wrath 147, Cataclysm 76, Mists 119, Retail 75.
- Racial abilities that had no macro on any client — Worgen Running Wild and Two Forms, Vulpera Make Camp and Rummage Your Bag, Dracthyr Battle Visage and Chosen Identity, Mechagnome Skeleton Pinkie, Earthen Quiet Contemplation, Haranir Thorn Bloom and Rootwalking, Pandaren Quaking Palm on Retail, and Goblin Pack Hobgoblin on Mists.
- City teleport and portal keys for Retail mages. Retail still trains every city teleport and portal, so the eight one-key city buttons the Classic packs have always had now ship there too.
- A name-collision guard in the test suite. No two macros that reach the same client may share a display name; the game indexes macros by name, so two that do collide the moment the second one is dragged out.
Fixed
- Eleven macros were hidden for dozens of levels. A macro's level gate was being read from whichever rank id happened to be written down rather than from the level the ability is first learned. An Undead priest learns Devouring Plague at 20; the macro claimed 60. Starshards, Desperate Prayer, Elune's Grace, Hex of Weakness, Shadowguard and Chastise had the same fault.
- Twenty-one macros drew a red question mark. Macros that cast no spell (
/target,/run,/console,/click) have no icon to derive, and none had one set. Each now names an icon proven to ship on every client it reaches. - Nineteen macros aimed a ground spell where the client cannot.
[@cursor]exists only on Retail, so a Classic Rain of Fire cast nothing at all. Every one of them now carries a bare fallback clause: Retail still aims at the cursor, everywhere else the spell is cast and the placement circle appears. - Two mage portal macros worked backwards. Port Silvermoon and Port Dornogal cast the group portal on a plain press and the self teleport on shift, the opposite of the other ten city keys. Both now match the family.
- Two macros with the same name on Retail. The rebuilt Silvermoon City and the Burning Crusade Silvermoon are different destinations but shipped as two "Port Silvermoon"; the second is now "Port Silver BC".
/focusand/clearfocuson Classic Era. Era 1.15 registers both in its own GlobalStrings, so gating them behind TBC made the linter refuse twelve working macros.- Two macros did nothing at all.
/rolecheckand/screenshotare not slash commands in any build; both macros are removed. - A refusal you could not act on. When a macro name is already taken, the message now shows the first line of the macro that is in the way, so the choice between renaming yours and forcing the overwrite can be made without leaving the addon for
/macro. - The "Mine" tab is now "My macros". In English the old label read equally well as the mining profession.
- Seven descriptions promised cursor placement the client could not deliver; all seven now describe what actually happens on each client.
Changed
- The linter now reads every shipped macro. A macro whose spell the test stub did not recognise used to be skipped entirely, which is how seven broken
[@cursor]macros shipped without a single warning. - A unit the client cannot resolve is a CHECK rather than a STOP when the same press has a working fallback clause. An unknown condition word stays a STOP, because it can void the whole command.
- The data audit now judges a macro's level against the level its ability is first learned, judges macros filed under General that belong to one class, and exempts profession macros, which are gated by owning the recipe rather than by character level.
Translations
All nine packs are complete: 1,525 descriptions and 588 caveats each, with no missing, stale or malformed strings. Each language was translated and then reviewed by an independent pass that found real faults, among them a German sentence that said the opposite of the English, eight German strings that used the client's word for party to mean a pack of mobs, six French sentences whose pronoun had no antecedent, and a Latin-American Spanish string that translated "caster" as the spellcaster class when it meant the player.
