Lurking Dark

The nights in WoW Forever are dark. Lurking Dark makes them dangerous.

In the dark, monsters reveal less about themselves the farther away they are. From afar you see nothing at all, closer up only a shape, near enough a name. Level, elite and rare markers and health show only once a monster attacks you, your pet or your group.

Features

• Distance stages on nameplates, target frame and tooltip: far (invisible), mid (creature type only), near (name, level "??"), fighting you (everything).
• Twilight around the night, when monsters are recognized a stage earlier.
• Eternal night in Tirisfal Glades, Deadwind Pass and Duskwood; add your own zones with /lurk zone.
• Campfires light up the night, and creatures you have fought before are recognized earlier.
• Sounds from the dark and a sense of danger when an elite or rare monster is near.
• Chat announcements for dusk, night, dawn and day.
• Settings in the game's options under AddOns, or /lurk options.

The night follows the game time (21:00 to 6:00 by default, adjustable).

Good to know

• Open world only: in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds and arenas the addon does nothing.
• Works with Blizzard's own nameplates, target frame and tooltip; replacements like Plater or ElvUI are not supported.
• Distances are coarse (about 10 and 28 yards), because that is all the game lets addons check.
• Addons cannot change how monsters look in the world; only interface information is hidden.
• Languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese. Translations other than English and German are unchecked, so corrections are welcome.

Die Nächte in WoW Forever sind dunkel. Lurking Dark macht sie gefährlich. In der Dunkelheit verraten Monster umso weniger über sich, je weiter sie entfernt sind. Dazu kommen Dämmerung, ewige Nacht im Dämmerwald, Lagerfeuer, Geräusche aus der Dunkelheit und ein Gespür für Gefahr. Befehle auch auf Deutsch mit /nacht: an, aus, immer, zeit 21 6, zone, optionen, test.
