What's new

Luna's Journey – Changelog

In memory of Luna, who has left on her own journey. Might Luna guide you forward, always.

v0.42 – October 16, 2026

New

  • Skipped now, suggested again later. When a quest is too hard for you right now, it no longer leaves your journey for good. For example, you die three times on a level 11 elite quest.
    • The Skip window has a new first reason: Too hard for now: suggest it later. Elite or group works the same way.
    • The quest comes back by itself when you are closer to its level: at least 2 levels above yours now, and 3 above the quest if it is elite (2 if it is not). For example, you skip a level 11 elite quest at level 10, and it comes back at level 14.
    • When you level up, the chat tells you which quests are back in your journey. In the list of skipped quests, each one shows the level it comes back at.
    • The other reasons (dungeon, reputation, broken, my choice) still skip a quest for good. You can always bring it back yourself with Restore.
    • Quests you had already skipped as Elite or group now come back too, in the same way.

v0.41 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • Zephras Isle quests are back for Windshaper Skyborne (Horde). v0.40 had left about 100 Zephras Isle quests to High Order Skyborne only. Among them were the first quests, the class quests at level 10 (The Great Ursera Spirit, Strength and Mercy, The Skybreaker Bulwark, Taming the Beast) and Camping 101.
    • Wowhead marks these quests for both factions but lists only the High Order race. On some quests it shows the Windshaper Skyborne as Undead or Tauren, for example Call of Fire and To Valanaar. The addon now reads these as Windshaper Skyborne.
    • forever.warcraftdb.com confirms the race numbers: High Order Skyborne 95, Windshaper Skyborne 96.

Changed

  • Quest data checked against forever.warcraftdb.com too, the second reference with Wowhead. It covers 924 of the addon's quests, and level, required level, class, giver and turn-in match on all but 11.
    • Fixed from warcraftdb: Boughs in the Wind is a Mage quest, Storm, Earth, and Fire is level 40, and Greater Friend of the Library needs level 35.
    • Confirmed: the three Great Windborne Cat Spirit quests are Druid quests.
  • Class quests checked for every race and class of WoW Forever, Alliance and Horde, with the official list of combinations. New ones include Orc Mage, Undead Paladin, Troll Warlock, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest and Human Hunter, and Windshaper Skyborne can be Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman or Warrior. The Horde is still covered on Zephras Isle only.

v0.40 – October 15, 2026

New

  • Reports are now part of the addon. Until now they were only in the test builds (BIS). There is now a single version, and it includes them:
    • the addon notes when an NPC does not offer a quest the data says you can take, offers one the data does not know, or stands far from its point in the data;
    • the Reports button in the main menu (also /journey report) lists them, with Send (by mail to the collector character), Copy and Clear.
    • Nothing is sent without your click.

Changed

  • Quest data aligned with Wowhead Forever. Level, required level, races and classes now follow Wowhead's Forever database (read on October 15, 2026). QuestieDB still gives the NPC positions, objectives and chains. Wowhead wins where the two disagree; things seen in game still win over both.
    • Races: 260 quests changed. Many Zephras Isle quests are for High Order Skyborne only, and several starting-zone quests (Camping 101, shaman totems, priest spells) are for one or two races only.
    • Required level: 93 quests changed. Level: 14 quests changed. Classes: 23 quests changed. Turn-in NPC:1 added.
    • Removed: 27 quests that Wowhead lists as Horde only. These are the Horde Craftsman's Writs, Argent Dawn Commission (Horde version), a few Ahn'Qiraj quests, the Shaman Paragons of Power quests and Atiesh (Horde version).
  • Skyborne druids: A Lesson to Learn, Trial of the Lake, Aquatic Form, Gathering the Cure and Curing the Sicknow come straight from Wowhead's data (Night Elf + High Order Skyborne). Two hand-made rules stay on top:
    • Lessons Anew starts from Mathrengyl Bearwalker, as seen in game.
    • Power over Poison is open to Skyborne, as the October 1 patch notes say.
  • Skyborne mages: the guessed opening of Ur's Treatise, High Sorcerer Andromath, Pristine Spider Silk and Astral Knot Garment is gone. Wowhead lists the first three for Humans and Gnomes only.

Known limits

  • Where Wowhead lists no class for a class quest (for example the Forever hunter and druid quests on Zephras Isle), the addon keeps the class it already had. On Wowhead these quests are gated by the trainer, not by the class field.
  • About 80 new Forever quests are listed by Wowhead for Dwarves, Night Elves, Gnomes and Skyborne but not Humans, even in Elwynn Forest. That looks like a gap in the data, so Humans keep them for now. Please use the Reports button if a quest is refused.

v0.39 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • From Moonglade to Darnassus, for druids. The travel plan now knows Silva Fil'naveth, the druid flight master in Nighthaven (Moonglade). She flies Alliance druids to Rut'theran Village; you pick the flight in the dialogue. From there the village portal goes up to Darnassus.
    • Before, from Moonglade the plan sent you the long way round. Now it is: Reach Silva Fil'naveth in Moonglade and ask her for the flight to Rut'theran Village, then Head to Mathrengyl Bearwalker (Darnassus), with the portal tip.
    • The flight is offered to druids only.

v0.38 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • Skyborne druids: the Aquatic Form and Cure Poison chains are back, starting in Darnassus.
    • Wowhead Forever lists Night Elf and High Order Skyborne as the races for A Lesson to Learn, Trial of the Lake, Trial of the Sea Lion and Aquatic Form (level 16).
    • It does the same for Lessons Anew through Curing the Sick (level 14).
    • The 1 October patch also opens Power over Poison to High Order Skyborne.
    • The chains start from Mathrengyl Bearwalker in Darnassus (Cenarion Enclave). This replaces the v0.37 change.

v0.37 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • Skyborne druids: the addon no longer sends you after Aquatic Form and Cure Poison.
    • We checked in game with a level 16 Skyborne druid who had done Child of Nature, Moonglade and the level 10 Skyborne quests. Nobody offers these chains:
      • Alfina Nightgaze (Dalaran);
      • Mathrengyl Bearwalker (Darnassus), who sends you on to Sheldras;
      • Sheldras Moontree (Stormwind);
      • Dendrite Starblaze and Tajarri (Moonglade).
    • On the official forum, Alliance Skyborne have been reporting problems with these quests since September.
    • The chains stay Night Elf only until we find out who gives them to Skyborne. With the BIS build, an NPC that offers them gets noted automatically.
    • This replaces the v0.34 change, which opened them to Skyborne on the strength of the forum alone.

v0.36-BIS – October 15, 2026 (test build)

Fixed

  • Reports: they now also catch the cases that were slipping through, like Tajarri and Trial of the Sea Lion.
    • An NPC with nothing to say. When an NPC has no quest for you and no dialogue, clicking it opens no window, so the addon was never told. Now, if your target is the NPC of the current step, you are next to it, and no quest window has opened for 8 seconds, a pop-up asks: Tajarri does not offer you "Trial of the Sea Lion"? Yes, report / No. It asks once per NPC and quest.
    • The route's step. If the route tells you to take a quest from an NPC and that NPC does not offer it, it is noted even when the data says you could not take it yet. In that case it is the route that is wrong.
    • By hand: the This step does not work button in the Reports window, or /journey report step. It notes the current step with the NPC you are targeting.

v0.35 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • Class quests checked for every Alliance race and class, including Skyborne and the new Forever combinations (Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Human Hunter).
    • No broken chains: no quest is left that you can take but whose earlier quest is closed to you.
    • Skyborne Mage: Wowhead Forever opens Mirror Lake and Investigate the Blue Recluse to Skyborne, but our data closed the rest of the chain. Now open:
      • Report to Jennea, Gathering Materials and Manaweave Robe at level 15;
      • by analogy, the level 26 chain: High Sorcerer Andromath, Ur's Treatise on Shadow Magic, Pristine Spider Silk and Astral Knot Garment.
      • To be confirmed in game: with the BIS build, an NPC that does not offer them gets noted automatically.
    • Other combinations: nothing missing.
      • Skyborne Hunter, Warrior, Rogue and Druid have their own Forever quests or the shared ones.
      • Human Hunter has the Forever pet chain in Elwynn, Dwarf Shaman has the totem chain, Gnome Priest has its racial spells.
      • The other differences between races are the starting letters and the racial spells, as in Classic.

v0.34 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • Skyborne druids get Aquatic Form and Cure Poison through the Night Elf chains, starting from Mathrengyl Bearwalker in Darnassus. Players on the official forum did these chains with Skyborne druids. Our data only allowed them to Night Elves.
    • Aquatic Form (level 16): A Lesson to Learn (Mathrengyl Bearwalker, Darnassus), Trial of the Lake (Dendrite Starblaze, Moonglade), Trial of the Sea Lion (Tajarri, Moonglade), Aquatic Form.
    • Cure Poison (level 14): Lessons Anew, The Principal Source, Gathering the Cure, Curing the Sick, Power over Poison. According to players, the last one also asks for some reputation with the Cenarion Circle.
    • This replaces the v0.31 fix, which wrongly hid Lessons Anew from Skyborne.

v0.33 – October 15, 2026

Fixed

  • No more quests you cannot pick up because their chain is closed to you.
    • A quest is now hidden when it needs an earlier quest that your character cannot take (another race or class) and that you have not done.
    • Example: a Skyborne druid was sent to Tajarri for Trial of the Sea Lion. That quest needs Trial of the Lakefirst, which comes after A Lesson to Learn, and both are Night Elf only in the Forever data. So Tajarri never offered it.
    • This applies everywhere: class quests, Completionist, routes and rewards.
    • It is recalculated when you turn in a quest or level up.

v0.33-BIS – October 15, 2026 (test build)

New

  • Reports: the addon notes what does not match between its data and the game, so the data can be fixed with what players really see. It notes by itself:
    • an NPC that does not offer a quest the data says you can take (right race, class and level, prerequisites done). For example Alfina Nightgaze does not offer Lessons Anew;
    • an NPC that offers a quest the data does not give to that NPC, or a quest the data does not know;
    • a quest turned in to a different NPC than in the data;
    • an NPC standing more than 60 yards from its point in the data;
    • addon errors.
  • Reports button in the main menu, next to Go to location (also /journey report).
    • It lists your reports.
    • Send mails them to the collector character (30 copper per letter, several reports per letter).
    • Copy gives the text to paste.
    • Clear empties the list.
    • At a mailbox the window opens by itself if you have reports to send.
  • Collector character: on it, the report letters are read at the mailbox and added up, one line per issue with how many players saw it. Copy gives everything as one text, and Delete read empties the mailbox. Everything is also saved in the addon's file, so it can be read without copying.
  • Nothing is sent without your click. The mail carries the name of your character.
  • Mail only reaches characters of the same faction and realm. Until the collector is set in the data, set it by hand with /journey collector <Name>, on both the sending characters and the collector.

v0.32 – October 14, 2026

Changed

  • Quest data rebuilt from the latest WoW Forever data (QuestieDB of October 13, 2026). When sources disagree, what has been seen in game wins over the Forever corrections and QuestieDB, which win over Wowhead. Fixes confirmed in game stay on top.
    • 2751 quests, up from 2655:
      • 464 seen in game on Forever, up from 337;
      • 171 confirmed by Wowhead Forever or by hand-written Forever fixes;
      • 2116 Classic quests not yet confirmed. They stay in, because Forever still has them.
    • 96 new quests, among them:
      • 26 in the Wetlands, 14 in Stormwind and 7 in Ashenvale;
      • 7 in Alterac, among them the City of Dalaran chain (An Alarming Request, Heart of Disruption, Friend of the Kirin Tor);
      • 17 class quests.
    • 184 quests updated:
      • 90 objective positions;
      • 14 turn-in NPCs (e.g. the Craftsman's Writs);
      • 9 prerequisites, among them the new Forever Teldrassil chain;
      • 7 reward lists;
      • quest givers, levels and the group warning.
    • No quests removed.
  • City services and quest objective positions rebuilt from the same data.

v0.31 – October 14, 2026

Fixed

  • Lessons Anew is no longer suggested to Skyborne druids.
    • The Cure Poison chain (Lessons Anew, The Principal Source, Gathering the Cure, Curing the Sick, Power over Poison) is for Night Elves only.
    • Our data wrongly added Skyborne to the first two quests.
    • Checked in game: Alfina Nightgaze does not offer it to a level 15 Skyborne druid who has not done it.

v0.30 – October 14, 2026

New

  • Minimize button next to the X, at the top right of the window.
    • Clicking - shrinks the window to its title bar and closes the windows beside it (Zones…, Dungeons…, Go to location, City services). The arrow and the route keep working.
    • Clicking + brings the window back as it was. Opening a tab, from the minimap button or /journey, also brings it back.

Changed

  • The City services drawer stays closed when you enter a town. Open it with its arrow tab or /journey city. To have it open by itself again, switch it on in Options.

v0.29 – October 14, 2026

New

  • Go to location: a travel planner in the main menu, centred under the two Choose cards (also /journey goto).
    • Every place, zone by zone, grouped by continent:
      • flight points, with the flight-path name and the flight master, and a check mark if you already know it;
      • inns, banks and auction houses;
      • your class trainers;
      • dungeon entrances, with their level;
      • ships, trams, portals and skyboats, e.g. Ship » Rut'theran Village (Auberdine).
    • Your zone opens first. A search box filters zones and places.
    • Pick a place and the route is planned for your character: the flight paths you know, your faction's ships, trams and portals, and zones too high for your level avoided.
    • The window shows the numbered stages and the current tip, and the arrow guides you stage by stage.
    • On arrival, a sound and a chat message tell you, and the destination clears. Cancel stops it at any time.
  • The last choice wins: picking a place in Go to location replaces a ticked City service, and the other way round.

v0.28 – October 13, 2026

New

  • Dungeons… window in Gearing, next to Zones…. It lists every dungeon and raid of WoW Forever with its recommended level and the zone of its entrance.
    • The wings have their own levels, e.g. Scarlet Monastery 30–46 · Graveyard 30–38 · Library 33–41 · Armory 36–44 · Cathedral 38–46.
    • The new Forever dungeons are included: The Hall of Thanes, Excavation Site: Wetlands, City of Dalaran, The Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Island Prison, Blackmaw Hold and Shaper's Terrace. Ruins of Lordaeron is shown to the Horde only.
  • Quests you must do to get in. Where a dungeon needs quests to enter (a key or an attunement), a box shows the key and how many quests it takes:
    • Blackrock Depths: Shadowforge Key, 2 quests.
    • Upper Blackrock Spire: Seal of Ascension, 2 quests.
    • Scholomance: Skeleton Key, 8 quests.
    • Molten Core: Attunement to the Core.
    • Onyxia's Lair: Drakefire Amulet, 16 quests.
    • Blackwing Lair: Blackhand's Command.
    • Naxxramas: The Dread Citadel, the version that matches your Argent Dawn reputation.
  • Hovering the box shows what the key opens and every quest in order, with who gives it and where. The quests you have done are greyed out with a check mark.
  • Ticking the box adds the final quest to your goals with its whole chain. Then press Create route. Once you have the key, the line turns green.
  • Only quests are listed. Keys that drop from monsters (Scarlet Key, Workshop Key, Key to the City, Crescent Key) are not quests, so they are left out.

Changed

  • The dungeon "D" now shows levels. Hovering a zone in Zones… or in the Completionist list shows its dungeons with their levels, e.g. Blackrock Depths (52–60), Molten Core (60, raid). A star marks the dungeons that need access quests.

Sources

  • Levels: Warcraft Tavern, WoW Forever Dungeons & Instances. Raids are level 60, as in Classic.
  • Access quest chains: the Forever database of QuestieDB, with each prerequisite checked.
  • Onyxia: Forever keeps the Classic attunement (guided.news).

v0.27 – October 13, 2026

New

  • A red "D" next to zones with a dungeon. It appears in the Zones… window and in the Completionist zone list, for example Westfall D or Searing Gorge D.
    • Hovering the zone lists its dungeons, with raids marked, e.g. Dungeons in this zone: Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Molten Core (raid), Blackwing Lair (raid).
    • Data: dungeon entrances from the Forever database of QuestieDB, including the Forever ones (The Hall of Thanes in Ironforge, Ruins of Lordaeron in Undercity). Blackrock Mountain is marked in both Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes, since it has an entrance in each.

v0.26 – October 13, 2026

Changed

  • Clearer travel instructions, one stage per line.
    • The route card shows the trip as a numbered list. The stage to do now is in green, with its tip underneath (which pier, where the tram is). The next stages are in grey.
    • Each stage is one complete action:
      • Reach the Menethil Harbor dock and take the ship to Auberdine.
      • Talk to Darla Harris (flight master, Southshore) and fly to Menethil Harbor.
      • Head to Tyrande Whisperwind (Darnassus).
    • The text under the arrow is the current stage, so when the arrow says You have arrived it also says what to do there: which flight master to talk to and where to fly, or which ship to take.
  • Ships with a stop: stay on board!
    • On the Forever ship Menethil Harbor » Southshore » Auberdine, the stage says in red: It stops at Southshore: do NOT get off, stay on board until Auberdine!
    • A pop-up when you board says STAY ON BOARD until Auberdine. The ship stops at Southshore: do NOT get off there!
    • A second pop-up comes at the stop itself.
    • A stop is no longer mistaken for the arrival.
  • City services: the menu closes when you pick a service (bank, auction house, mailbox…). The arrow and the directions stay. The tab reopens the menu to change the service or untick it.

New

  • Southshore » Auberdine: the ship can also be boarded at Southshore. The pier is an approximate point until the addon learns it: it does so when the ship stops there, or you can type /journey mark Auberdine on the pier.
  • Rut'theran Village » Darnassus: the tip reminds you that Darnassus is at the top of the tree and you get there through the portal in the village.

Fixed

  • The travel plan picks better routes.
    • It no longer sends you to a pier or a flight master just to walk past it.
    • Ship arrivals are placed at the right port. Some arrivals were placed in the middle of the zone, which made the plan choose longer routes.
    • Routes with a stop count as longer trips.

v0.25 – October 13, 2026

New

  • Pop-ups on the ship: where to get off, and where to go from the port.
    • When the travel plan says to take a ship (or a skyboat or zeppelin) and you are on its dock, the chat confirms it: get on board, I will tell you when to get off.
    • Intermediate stops: on the Forever ship Menethil Harbor » Southshore » Auberdine, a pop-up at Southshore says stay on board, get off at Auberdine.
    • Arrival: when the ship docks at your stop, a pop-up with a sound says Get off now: you have arrived at Auberdine, followed by what to do from the port: the first stages of the plan from there (for example Reach the Auberdine dock » Take the ship Auberdine » Rut'theran Village), and the arrow takes you there.

v0.24 – October 13, 2026

Changed

  • Ships: the arrow goes to the pier the ship actually leaves from, not just to the harbor.
    • The addon learns it in game. When you arrive on the other side of the sea, it looks at where you stood still on the ship before it left and saves that point as the pier of that route. It does the same at the arrival pier, which is where the ship leaves from for the trip back. It works for all your characters, and the chat confirms it (dock recorded: Menethil Harbor » Auberdine).
    • By hand: standing on the right pier, type /journey mark <destination>, for example /journey mark Theramore on the Menethil pier.
    • Until a pier is learned, the step tells you which pier to look for: Menethil Harbor (southern dock for Theramore, the other one for Auberdine with a stop at Southshore), Auberdine (northern dock for Rut'theran, southern pier for Stormwind) and Stormwind Harbor (north-west of the city).
  • The learned piers are used everywhere: in the travel plan, in the arrow, and in the City services drawer. /journey export includes them, so they can be shared and added to the data.

v0.23 – October 13, 2026

New

  • Step-by-step travel plan. When the next step is in another zone or city, the step now says how to get there, in stages, for example in Stormwind for Exploring the Alliance: Travel to Ironforge: Reach the Stormwind tram. The tram entrance is in the Dwarven District, north-east of Stormwind. » Take the tram Stormwind » Ironforge. » Head to High Tinker Mekkatorque (Ironforge).
    • The arrow follows each stage: first the tram entrance; once you arrive in Ironforge, the plan is recalculated from where you are and the arrow goes to the next stage.
    • The fastest and safest way for your level: it compares walking, the Deeprun Tram, ships, skyboats, portals and the flight paths you know. Walking through zones well above your level counts as much longer, so the plan avoids them when there is another way.
    • WoW Forever routes: the Stormwind harbor ship to Auberdine, the Valanaar skyboats, the Dalaran portal to Stormwind, and now the Deeprun Tram between Stormwind and Ironforge (entrances from the QuestieDB Forever database). The tram also appears in the City services drawer.

v0.22 – October 13, 2026

Fixed

  • Quests with several objectives: the arrow goes to the next one still to do. Before, it always pointed to the first objective, even when it was already done. For example, in Exploring the Alliance (Randal Emerson, King Magni Bronzebeard, High Tinker Mekkatorque and Tyrande Whisperwind) it stayed on Randal Emerson. Now it points to the nearest objective you have not done yet, and the arrow shows its name.
    • Done or not comes from your quest log; the positions of every objective come from the QuestieDB Forever database (267 quests with more than one objective).
  • Exploring the Alliance no longer carries the [2+] tag: you talk to Magni and Tyrande, you don't fight them.

v0.21 – October 13, 2026

New

  • Right-click to remove a goal. In the Route tab, right-click an item in You are after (Gearing) or Priority gear(Questing):
    • it leaves the list and is unticked in Goals or in the Gear tab;
    • the route is recalculated straight away, with no pop-up, and the chat says how many steps are left.
    • In Gearing this also works for professions, chosen quests and Luna's secrets. If nothing is left to look for, the route is closed.
    • Hover a row: the tooltip reminds you of the right-click.

v0.20 – October 13, 2026

Fixed

  • The right quest giver when the data lists more than one. Child of Nature (Druid) is now given by Alfina Nightgaze in the Sky Enclave of Dalaran, but the data still listed the old Classic giver, Archmage Ansirem Runeweaver, first, and the arrow went to him. Now:
    • on your map, the nearest giver is chosen;
    • elsewhere, the giver added by Forever is preferred over the old Classic one (this also fixes Call of Earthfor Shamans and Lessons Anew for Druids).
  • What you see in game beats the database. When you talk to a quest giver, or turn a quest in, the addon records where it happened and the name of the NPC. From then on, the step and the arrow use that NPC and that position, for all your characters. Quests shared by another player are not recorded.
  • The game's own "!" on the map now comes before the database for quests to pick up, when the game shows it.
  • City services drawer: it no longer runs past the bottom of the screen when it has many rows, it moves up instead. The far-away services show "» Ironforge" instead of an empty square (the arrow character does not exist in the game font).

v0.19 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • Boats & transport in the City services drawer: one row per destination. Instead of a single row, the drawer lists every connection that leaves from where you are, each with its own distance: Skyboat » Dalaran, Ship » Auberdine… Tick one and the arrow takes you to the dock.
    • Hover a row to see the whole trip, what to look for at the dock, and where you can go on from the arrival. For example, from Valanaar: Skyboat » Dalaran, then the portal to Stormwind.
    • If no connection leaves from your map, the drawer shows the three nearest on your continent.
  • Only the connections of your faction. The Valanaar skyboat to Mulgore lands next to Thunder Bluff and is now shown to the Horde only; the Alliance gets the skyboat to Dalaran.
  • New: the Dalaran portal to Stormwind (Mage Quarter), position from the QuestieDB Forever database.
  • Flight master: hover the row to see the flight paths you know.

v0.18 – October 12, 2026

New

  • Class tab in Questing / Completionist, next to Zones…: a route with only the quests of your class, in any zone, plus the quests needed to unlock them (for example Dwarven Outfitters before the first Dwarf class quest). No other quests, no items.
    • The tab lists your class quests: To do now (with level and zone), Later (from which level), Skipped by youand Done.
    • Follow class quests only builds the route; the arrow takes you to each quest giver, objective and turn-in, across zones and ships.
    • The route is recalculated at every level, when new class quests become available. When none is left for now, the chat tells you at which level the next one arrives.
    • Works for every Alliance class: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid.
  • /journey class opens the Class tab.

Changed

  • The first class quests of Zephras Isle (levels 2-5) are the Skyborne introduction: they are no longer suggested to Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves and Gnomes, unless you are on Zephras Isle. This also applies to the class quests in the Journey.
  • Three Forever Druid quests from Moonglade (The Great Windborne Cat Spirit and Blessings of the Great Windborne Cat Spirit) were missing their class in the data: they now only show up for Druids.

v0.17 – October 12, 2026

New

  • City services drawer. A small tab with an arrow sits on the edge of the Luna's Journey window, in every view (menu, Questing, Gearing). Click it and the services slide out next to the window: to the left if the window is on the right half of the screen, to the right otherwise. Click again to close.
    • One tick box per service: Mailbox, Auction house, Bank, Flight master, Boats & transport, Inn, Repairs, Class trainer (your class), Weapon master, General goods, Trade supplies, Reagents, Food & drink, Stable master (Hunters).
    • One row per profession you know: Trainer: Herbalism, Trainer: First Aid… Professions you don't know are not shown.
    • Each row shows how far the nearest one is, in metres ("~" when the size of that map is estimated), or the zone where it is if there is none in your town.
  • Tick a service and the arrow takes you to the nearest one, with the game's map pin. When you arrive, or when you untick it, the arrow goes back to your route. If you tick it while standing next to it, it stays ticked until you have walked away and come back.
  • Every town, small or large: capitals, villages, outposts and Forever's own towns (Valanaar, Shen'dar and the other Zephras Isle villages). The arrow on the tab turns gold when you are in a town, and the drawer opens by itself if the window is open. If you close it, it stays closed until you leave that town.
  • Option: Show services when you enter a city or a village (on by default).
  • Commands: /journey city opens the window with the drawer; /journey city debug prints what the addon sees where you stand (map, position, rest area, services nearby), to send with a report.
  • Positions come from the QuestieDB Forever database: NPCs by role, including Forever's neutral NPCs, plus the mailboxes. NPCs who walk around point to where they usually stand.

v0.16 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • After "Disable and reload", Luna's Journey opens by itself on the start menu, and the chat confirms that the old addon is disabled. Before, the window stayed closed after the reload.

v0.15 – October 12, 2026

Fixed

  • "Disable and reload" did not disable Luna's Parcours, and the pop-up came back after every reload. The addon was disabled for the current character only, and some clients ignore that.
    • It is now disabled for all characters.
    • Other characters that used Luna's Parcours: enable it for them once (AddOns, at character selection) to import their data.
  • No more loop. If the old addon is still active after the reload, the pop-up explains how to untick it by hand at character selection, with a Don't ask again button.

v0.14 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • The window stays open when you press Escape to open the game menu. It closes only with its X, the minimap button, your key binding or /journey.

v0.13 – October 12, 2026

Fixed

  • The window could open at its full size, scrolled all the way down. Two causes:
    • Only the minimap button and /journey used the menu size. Opening from a pop-up (new gear, zone advice) or a command such as /journey route used the last saved size, which for many players was still the old 620-pixel window of Luna's Journey.
    • The scroll position was kept from the last time.
  • Now every opening uses the menu's size, whatever tab it opens on, and every tab starts from the top.

v0.12 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • The addon always opens on the start menu, at the menu's size: normal width, and just tall enough for the two paths and the note below them, with no empty space and no scrolling. The top-left corner stays where you put the window. Resize it as you like in the other tabs; the next time you open the addon it comes back to the menu's size.

v0.11 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • The window can be made much shorter (down to 150 pixels instead of 300). Drag the bottom-right corner up until only what you need is left, for example the current step on the Route tab. The rest is still there: scroll with the mouse wheel or the bar on the right.

v0.10 – October 12, 2026

Changed

  • The addon always opens on the start menu. Your current path shows your path and the route in progress, with a Resume button that takes you back to the tab where you left off. The other path keeps Choose.
  • Gearing is on the left, Questing / Completionist on the right.
  • Title bar: on the start menu, Luna and Options sit side by side next to the close button. Everywhere else, Menuand Luna. The empty tab row is gone from the menu, so its content moves up.
  • Goals says Select items below next to its title.
  • Changing your priority gear asks before recalculating. In Questing, when you tick or untick an item in the Gear tab while a journey is running, a pop-up asks whether to recalculate the journey now. Recalculate rebuilds it at once; Later keeps your choice for the next recalculation (Start the journey, or your next level). Ticking several items shows the pop-up only once.

v0.9 – October 12, 2026

Luna's Journey and Luna's Parcours are now one addon

Luna's Parcours (route to the gear you pick) and Luna's Journey (every quest, zone by zone) have merged into Luna's Journey LindaLuna: one route engine, one arrow, one window. Luna's Parcours will not be updated any more; everything it did lives on here.

  • Journey users: nothing to do. Same folder, same saved data, same /journey command. Your journey, skips and priorities are kept.
  • Parcours users: keep Luna's Parcours enabled for your first login with the new Luna's Journey. It imports your recorded positions, herb nodes, chosen items, long chains, secrets, flight paths and the route in progress. Then it offers to disable Luna's Parcours for that character and reload. Each character imports its own data at its first login.
  • While Luna's Parcours is still on, Luna's Journey stays silent for gear alerts and Luna's farewell, so you never get them twice.

New

  • A start menu with two paths. When you open the addon you choose:
    • Questing / Completionist: the full journey (every quest in your zones, in the shortest order, every skip justified) or Just level (quests of your level, for fast XP). Tabs: Journey, Route, Gear, Zones….
    • Gearing (from Luna's Parcours): pick the items you want and the addon builds the shortest route to get them. Tabs: Goals, Route, Zones….
    • The two paths sit side by side with a short explanation, and they fit a small window. The Menu button takes you back to the choice. Each card shows your current path and the route in progress.
  • How to set up your route, at the top of the Journey tab:
    1. Decide whether you want to prioritise some gear. If yes, open Gear and tick the items.
    2. Press Start the journey (or Just level).
  • New gear pop-up. When new useful rewards show up on your journey (a new level, a new zone), a pop-up lists them and asks whether you want to review your gear priorities. Review opens the Gear tab. Each item is offered only once.
  • Long quests (from Luna's Parcours) are in the Journey tab: the long chains (5 quests or more) of your chosen zones, with progress, levels, zones and final reward. Hover a row to see the whole chain in order. Tick a chain to follow it outside your chosen zones too.
  • Luna's secrets (from Luna's Parcours) are in the Luna tab: the hidden quests (Cozy Sleeping Bag, Silver of the Waves, Meddlesome Mages) and the unsolved Keystone Fragment. Tick a secret to add it to your route, whatever path you follow. The route step tells you when a quest is part of a secret.
  • Class quests at the top of both paths (Journey tab and Goals), so you always level your class quests too.
  • Gear weights by talent tree (from Luna's Parcours) everywhere: weapon DPS, weapon skills you have not learnt yet, racial weapon bonuses. The Gear tab also shows weapon and ranged DPS.
  • New icon: violet and rose gold, with Luna's moon and the quest "!".

Changed

  • Title bar: Luna's Journey LindaLuna, then Menu and Luna side by side, in every mode. On the start menu the Menu button is hidden (you are already there).
  • Zones… is in the tab row of both paths; the Zones buttons inside the tabs are gone.
  • Options holds only general settings (language, arrow, minimap, window, Luna's farewell) and opens from the Menu. Gear alerts are in Goals and in the Gear tab; zone advice, reset progress and export positions are at the bottom of the Route tab.
  • One gear pop-up for bag upgrades and one zone advice option for both paths. In the journey it suggests the next zone; in Gearing and Just level, a zone with useful items or the next zone for your level.
  • Gearing is only about gear: no professions. Craftsman's Writs are never suggested as gear or levelling quests.
  • The window opens small by default; every tab scrolls if you shrink it.

v0.8 – October 11, 2026

New

  • Legacy points from quests and dungeons. WoW Forever gives Legacy points for challenges. A new box at the bottom of the Journey tab follows the four that quests and dungeons can earn:
    • Novice Spelunker (dungeons for levels 15-25, 6 to complete), Experienced Spelunker (25-45, 10) and Master Spelunker (35-60, 17);
    • Lord Valthalak Laid to Rest: the questline from An Earnest Proposition to Saving the Best for Last (level 60).
    • Each row shows how many dungeons or quests are done, with a bar, and a green tick when the challenge is complete.
    • Progress, names and the dungeon list are read from the game's own achievements, so they follow your client. If the game does not answer, the dungeon lists of the beta data are used.
    • Hover a row to see every dungeon with a tick if done, and how many of your quests lead into each one. For Lord Valthalak, every quest of the chain for your class.
  • Quests that give Legacy points join the journey. With the new tick box (on by default), dungeon quests of dungeons you still need for a Spelunker challenge, and the Lord Valthalak chain, are part of the journey even when dungeon quests are left out. Untick it to leave them out.
    • The quest step says which challenge it counts for, e.g. Legacy point: counts for Novice Spelunker (Ragefire Chasm or Hall of Thanes).
    • When a dungeon is done for the challenge, its quests stop counting and go back to the normal dungeon rule.
  • The other Legacy challenges (class levels, professions, PvP, raids, exploration) are not tied to quests: the box reminds you they are in the game's Legacy panel.

Good to know

  • Legacy points are account-wide: 1 point per challenge, up to 16 spent per character.
  • Dungeon quests need a group: the step still says so.

v0.7 – October 11, 2026

Fixed

  • The addon could suggest flights you could not take (as in Luna's Parcours v0.32). It could send you to a flight master to fly to a place whose flight path you had not discovered yet, for example from Stormwind to Elwynn Forest.
    • It now suggests a flight only between two flight masters your character has already discovered.
    • It learns which ones you know every time you open the flight map at a flight master, and remembers them for that character.
    • Until you have opened the flight map once, it never suggests a flight. The arrow takes you there on foot or by mount instead.

v0.6 – October 11, 2026

Fixed

  • Wrong boat departure points (as in Luna's Parcours v0.30). For ships the arrow pointed at the middle of the zone, not at the dock. Every departure now has a precise point, taken from NPCs and signs on the dock in the WoW Forever database (QuestieDB):

    Departure Point Source
    Valanaar skyboat (Alliance) 65.6, 83.0 High Order Dockmaster
    Valanaar skyboat (Horde) 58.0, 80.5 Windshapers Dockmaster
    Dalaran skyboat (Alterac) 14.9, 64.2 High Order Mage
    Rut'theran Village (Teldrassil) 58.4, 94.0 Vesprystus, next to the dock
    Auberdine (Darkshore) 32.7, 41.8 "Boat to Menethil / Teldrassil" sign
    Stormwind Harbor 28.7, 48.4 Stormwind Dock Worker
    Menethil Harbor (Wetlands) 8.3, 59.1 "Boat to Auberdine / Theramore" sign
    Ratchet (Barrens) 63.5, 38.6 Grimble, Shipmaster
    Booty Bay 26.1, 73.4 Grizzlowe, Shipmaster
    • The arrow points at the dock even from another zone.
    • Theramore and the Mulgore skyboat have no confirmed point yet: for these the step still names the place to look for.
    • Correct a dock yourself: stand on the dock and type /journey mark <port name>, e.g. /journey mark Auberdine. Your position is used from then on.
  • The window changed size and went lopsided when you dragged or resized it (as in Luna's Parcours v0.28). Its top-left corner now stays fixed: dragging the corner only grows the window down and to the right, and moving it never changes its size. The position is saved by the addon and restored at every login. Options → Window → Reset puts it back.

  • Equip in the gear alert could do nothing (as in Luna's Parcours v0.26). The addon now equips the item the way you would by hand: it picks it up from your bag and places it in the right slot (for rings and trinkets, the slot of the weaker one). If that fails it tries by name. After 1.5 seconds it checks that the item is really equipped; if not, the chat tells you to drag it from your bag.

Changed

  • The next-zone pop-up tells you whether the zone suits your level (as in Luna's Parcours v0.31).
    • It shows the zone's levels and yours, e.g. Next zone: Westfall, levels 10-18 (you are 11): 24 quests to do now.
    • If most of the zone's quests are still above your level, it says they will wait: go for the ones you can already do, or level up a bit first.
    • If you are standing in a zone that is too high for you, it says that too, e.g. after the skyboat to Dalaran.
    • Zones whose quests are mostly above your level are suggested less often.
  • More realistic level ranges for every zone, in the Zones window too. Class and dungeon quests no longer stretch the range: it covers the levels of most of the zone's quests (from the 10th to the 90th percentile).

v0.5 – October 11, 2026

New

  • Class quests from any zone. A new tick box in the Journey tab, on by default, shows how many class quests you can do now and how many you have done, e.g. Class quests from any zone (3 to do · 5 done).
    • Class quests you can already take join the journey even outside the chosen zones, together with the quests that unlock them. For example, Moonglade for Druids.
    • Hover the box to see every quest of your class:
      • quests you can do now are listed first, with their zone;
      • then quests for later levels, with the level they need;
      • then quests you skipped;
      • quests already done come last, with a green tick.
    • Untick it to stay in the chosen zones.
  • Next zone. When nothing is left to do right now in your zones, a pop-up tells you where to go next:
    • the zone, its typical levels, how many quests you can do there now, and the first quest to take;
    • your own continent comes first, then a zone of your level, then the zone with the most quests;
    • how to get there: the boat, zeppelin, flight path or road to take.
    • Take me there: the zone joins your journey and the route is recalculated. The arrow guides you there, across ships and flight paths, to the first quest, and the journey goes on with that zone's quests.
    • Later: the pop-up does not come back for these zones until your next level or your next login.
    • It never appears during combat or while the route still has a step for you.
  • /journey next asks for the next zone at any time. The automatic pop-up can be switched off in Options.

v0.4 – October 10, 2026

New

  • Priority gear in the Route tab. The items you tick in the Gear tab are listed at the top of the route, like You are after in Luna's Parcours.
    • They appear in the order the route gets them: the next one comes first.
    • Each item shows how many steps are left until you get it, e.g. Roofing Hammer (12 steps). The count includes the turn-in and goes down as you finish, skip or mark steps as done. When the turn-in is your current step, it says (now).
    • An item whose quest is not on the route yet shows why, e.g. in 3 levels.
    • Items you already have move to the end of the list, with a green tick. An item counts as yours when the quest is turned in, or when it is in your bags or equipped.
    • The box shows 5 items at a time and scrolls.
  • The Gear tab explains how priority works:
    • each tick recalculates the route by itself, with no need to restart it;
    • you can tick several items, and the route takes them in the shortest order, not in the order you ticked them;
    • one item per quest: if a quest lets you choose a reward, ticking a second one replaces the first, and the chat tells you.
  • The chat message for each tick says whether the route was recalculated, or that the choice will count when you start the journey.
  • Which reward to take, at a glance, in the Gear tab. Colours stay discreet and follow your role (Healing, Spell damage, Physical damage, Tank) and what you wear now:
    • the best choice of each quest has a light green background and a thin green line on the left;
    • other rewards that improve on what you wear have a barely visible green background;
    • rewards worse than what you wear are slightly faded;
    • the line under the list says which role the colours follow.
  • In Priority gear, each item shows its gain over what you wear, e.g. +0.9 or -0.1, so a tick on a weaker item is easy to spot.

Changed

  • Lists scroll instead of using pages: zones and skipped/justified quests in the Journey tab, rewards in the Gear tab.
    • Scroll with the mouse wheel over the list, or with the up and down arrows on its right.
    • The title line shows where you are, e.g. 1-8 / 44.
    • At the top or bottom of a list, the mouse wheel scrolls the window as usual.
  • Easier to read (as in Luna's Parcours):
    • grey text is lighter;
    • NPC names in the steps are pale green;
    • the step box no longer repeats the arrow's target;
    • the route summary stays on one line;
    • the list under the step is titled Next steps.
  • The step label Complete is now To do (Italian Da fare, French À faire, German Zu erledigen, Spanish Por hacer).
  • Add and Restore react as soon as you press them, play a sound and confirm in the chat.

Fixed

  • The window refreshes itself while the game answers the quest checks. It now waits until you release the mouse button, so a click is no longer lost.
  • The Route tab no longer leaves an empty space above the step box.

Quest data

  • Updated from QuestieDB of October 10, 2026: 2655 quests.
    • Old Ironforge Incursion now counts as a dungeon quest (The Hall of Thanes).
    • Three quests of the new dungeon Ruins of Lordaeron now have a zone and an entrance. They count as dungeon quests (justified unless you include dungeons).
    • The Quarry's Smith is now a Blacksmithing quest.
    • New prerequisites for Call of Fire, Stolen Blasting Powder and Nature's Call.
    • Fire Sapta is now repeatable and is no longer counted.

v0.3.1 – October 10, 2026

Changed

  • Full name in game, as on CurseForge: Luna's Journey LindaLuna (addon list, window title, options, minimap tooltip, keybindings).

v0.3 – October 10, 2026

New

  • Gear tab: every quest reward in the chosen zones that your character can wear, grouped by quest.
    • Each item shows its stats and its gain over what you wear.
    • Each quest shows its state: on the journey, in N levels, skipped, justified.
    • The weights used are shown openly, with the role (from your talents, or chosen by you).
  • Manual priority: tick an item in the Gear tab.
    • Its quest and the chain before it come first in the route, as soon as your level allows, still following the shortest path.
    • Works even if the quest is outside the chosen zones.
  • "Easier in a group" note on the quest step, with a [2+] tag in the step title. It is based on:
    • the game's own group tag and suggested group size, when the client provides them;
    • elite enemies among the objectives (30 quests in the data);
    • many enemies around the objective, compared with the other quests of the same zone (75 quests). This one is an estimate.
  • Add: quests justified automatically can be added back to the journey. For example, quests of a profession you do not have, or Camping 101 when you are already level 30.
  • /journey look prints the window size, scale and transparency.

Changed

  • Elite quests are no longer skipped automatically: they stay on the journey with the "easier in a group" note.
  • More transparent window by default (0.45). Settings you already saved are kept.

v0.2 – October 10, 2026

Changed

  • No Goals tab. Luna's Journey completes every quest, so there is nothing to choose.
  • Start the journey now sits right under the progress bar.
  • Zone list: each zone has its own completion bar. Zones are sorted by their typical level, and the level range ignores class quests and writs.

New

  • Useful gear on the way. Quests that reward gear your character can wear and that beats what you wear are marked on the route with a star. Quests of the chain that lead to them get a circle. Both come a little earlier in the route.
    • These are not goals: every quest is still done.
  • Professions box with a completion bar for each profession.
    • Cooking, Fishing and First Aid are always part of the journey. If you have not learned them yet, their quests wait.
    • Other professions join the journey automatically as soon as you learn them (for example Herbalism). Until then their quests are justified as "profession not learned".
    • A quest that needs a higher profession skill waits until you reach it.
  • Why a quest waits: level, profession to learn, or profession skill, shown under the progress bar.

v0.1 – October 10, 2026 (test build for the WoW Forever beta)

New

  • Journey tab: every quest your character can do, zone by zone.
    • Per zone: done, skipped by you, justified, waiting for level, to do, with a progress bar.
    • Click a zone to follow it.
  • Start the journey: the shortest route with every quest you can do now in the chosen zones.
    • Chains are included.
    • Nearby quests are picked up and turned in together.
    • The route is recalculated at every level.
  • Every skip has a reason:
    • Skip asks why: elite or group, dungeon, reputation, broken or not found, my choice.
    • Skipped quests can be restored from the Journey tab.
  • Justified automatically: profession writs, quests excluded by another one, dungeon quests (unless you include them), professions you have not learned.
  • Gear alerts: a pop-up when your bags hold a better item, with Equip, Ignore and Close.
    • Silent when SmartHeal LindaLuna is installed, which already does this.
  • Quest data for all levels: 2656 quests from the QuestieDB Forever database. Each one is marked as seen in game, on Wowhead Forever, or Classic only.
  • Luna's farewell: sent only once when SmartHeal LindaLuna or Luna's Parcours is also installed.

Built on

  • Route engine, GPS arrow, travel guidance and server check from Luna's Parcours v0.11.
  • Luna's Journey can be installed next to Luna's Parcours: separate settings, commands and arrow.

Known limits

  • Above level 30 the data is Classic remapped to Forever: the beta stops at 30.
  • Gear scores use the role weights of Luna's Parcours. The dynamic weights described in Profili_gear.md come in a later version.
  • Quests without a known zone (162, mostly profession writs) are not counted in any zone.
