LSGlassRevive

A lightweight chat glass effect: chat UI elements fade out and reappear on hover or chat activity.

LSGlassRevive is made for players who want a clean, immersive UI—no bulky panels, no clutter, just the game. I’ve always loved a minimal interface, but the default chat frame felt awkward: hard to place, visually heavy, and always taking up space I’d rather keep for the world itself (and for more important tools like meters).

For years I relied on Glass, then LSGlass, to make the chat disappear until I actually needed it, using a simple hover reveal. Sadly, both addons are now incompatible with the current version of World of Warcraft and no longer seem to be updated or available.

So I decided to fix the problem.

I’m not a programmer, so I built LSGlassRevive with the help of AI (ChatGPT) to recreate that same “invisible until needed” chat experience—faithful to the Blizzard look, lightweight, and focused on comfort. I didn’t reinvent anything; I just wanted the solution back. If the community misses that clean Glass/LSGlass feeling too, this is for you.
