Lorever Narration (Books)

The books of Azeroth, read aloud.
When you open a book, a letter or a plaque in the world, Lorever keeps its pages in your library, and its narrator can read them to you. Without this pack, the game's own text to speech reads those pages. With it, the storyteller of your Lorever Narration pack reads them, in the same voice you already hear for the lore.
How it works
Install Lorever (version 1.13.0 or newer) and this pack.
Open a writing in the world, then open its page in Lorever's Literature and press the play button of the narrator.
That is all. The narrator uses the pack by itself.
Languages and voices
English: Michael and Heart
Deutsch: Thorsten and Kerstin
Français: Gilles and Siwis
Español: Santa and Dora
简体中文: Yunxi and Xiaoxiao
Русский: Dmitri and Natasha
The voice you chose for the lore also reads the books. Only the language you use is loaded in the game: the others stay on disk and take no memory.
Good to know
Lorever is required. The CurseForge app installs it for you.
A Lorever Narration pack of your language is recommended, so the lore and the books are read by the same storyteller.
Portuguese and Italian are not in this pack yet. In those languages, the game's own voice reads the books, as before.
A few pages have no recording: the ones that name your own character, and writings that are new in WoW: Forever. The game's own voice reads those. Nothing breaks.
No program runs outside the game. The pack is only sound files and a small index. It holds no text.

AI disclaimer
The voices in this pack were generated by text to speech models, not recorded by people. The recordings were made on the author's own computer with Kokoro-82M (Apache 2.0), Kokoro German Kerstin by kikiri-tts (Apache 2.0), Piper voices (CC0) and Vosk TTS by Alpha Cephei (Apache 2.0), at 1.30 speed. No online AI service was used, and no real person's voice was cloned or imitated.
What is read
The pages read in this pack are the game's own writings: their text belongs to Blizzard Entertainment. This pack holds only recordings, made so that players can listen to what they have found in the world. It is free, it has no ads and it asks for nothing.
