Loremaster

I have abandoned the Loremaster project as it no longer serves a useful purpose in the game. If someone wishes to repurpose the code in some way (can't imagine how, but who knows, right?) you are welcome to. Thanks and regards.

An apology

I'm sorry for not updating in so long. I haven't played for some time due to real life concerns. The addon still appears to work, but this will be the last version. The Azeroth Loremaster achievements will be changing for Cataclysm to be more like the Outland and Northrend Loremaster achievements so this addon will no longer be necessary. Good luck getting Loremaster before Cata drops as I imagine it will become some kind of Feat of Strength. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who uploaded their files. I had over 225,000 unique quest submissions in total (i.e. different quest/character combinations), on 6,957 quests from over 2000 characters. It wouldn't have been possible without you. I, and everyone else who used this addon to get Loremaster, salute you. The top contributors list is still up at loremaster.eu if you want to see it.

Description

The purpose of this addon is twofold. Firstly, to help create a database of quests that count towards the Loremaster achievements. Secondly, it displays that information in-game in the quest description.

EveryQuest integration

If you have both EveryQuest and Loremaster installed, you can use the following functions to enhance them both: /lm eqignore - Sets all quests that have less positive responses than negative ones - ie that either definitely don't count, or probably don't count - to 'Ignored' status in EveryQuest. /lm equnignore - Clears the ignore list previously created with eqignore. What this means is that, if you have run a quest scan and you run eqignore, the EQ window will only show either quests that probably do count, or that have no data, thus giving you a checklist of quests to complete. Pretty cool, eh? Note that it doesn't ignore quests with no data. If you do those quests, please send me your data so those quests can be ignored or added to the list of Loremaster quests. In addition, Kandarz has now added Loremaster support to Everyquest. Quests that count for Loremaster will have an [L] next to them in the EveryQuest window, and the tooltip will contain the Loremaster text from the quest log window.
