Lore Accurate Map

Lore Accurate Map is a World of Warcraft addon for the Azeroth world map.

On Blizzard's Azeroth map, Kul Tiras, Zandalar, the Broken Isles, the Dragon Isles and Khaz Algar are drawn about 2 to 3 times too big, so they look like continents. This addon redraws only that one map, with the sizes and places from Blizzard's Exploring Azeroth cloth map (2024). Zone and continent maps don't change. Only the WoW world map changes.

It's Blizzard's own map art, cut and moved, so it still looks like Blizzard's map.

There are probably still some bugs. If you see something wrong, leave a comment and I'll try to fix it.

Command

/lam original switches between the new map and Blizzard's. Type it again to switch back.

What works on the new map

• Click an island to open it, also in combat
• Hover an island: it glows and shows its name
• Your arrow, party members, capital city icons and waypoints sit on the new islands
• Ctrl + click sets a waypoint where you clicked
• TomTom, HandyNotes, World Quest Tracker and WaypointUI icons and clicks

Good to know

• Made for WoW Midnight, patch 12.1.5, and already marked for 12.1.7.
• Names on the map are English in every game language, for now.
• In combat, clicking some spots on the map can show an "action blocked" message in BugSack. The map still opens. /reload clears it.
• The cursor coordinates at the bottom of the map still use Blizzard's layout.
• After a Blizzard patch that changes the Azeroth map, the addon tells you once in chat.
