# LootIQ - Know What You Loot

Ever pick up an item and wonder:

LootIQ is a loot-tracking and intelligence addon for World of Warcraft that builds a personal database of the items you collect and, more importantly, **where they came from**.
As you play, LootIQ records your loot history and associates items with their sources, gradually building a database based on your own adventures.
## 🧠Your Personal Loot Database
LootIQ keeps track of the things you've collected so you can look back and see what you've found instead of relying on memory.
Track items you've looted, how often you've seen them, and the sources you've encountered while playing.
The more you play, the more useful your LootIQ database becomes.
## 🗺️ Know Where Your Loot Came From
LootIQ isn't interested in only telling you that you picked up **[Extremely Questionable Sword of Questionable Decisions]**.
It wants to know where you got it.
LootIQ records source information alongside your loot, helping you build a history connecting items to the creatures, quests, and other sources you've encountered.
That means your loot history becomes useful information rather than just a giant list of stuff you once shoved into your bags.
