Supported Versions

  • 12.0.5
  • 12.0.1

WoW 12.0.5 compatibility bump and a quality-of-life pass on every item tooltip in the new Browser hub and the session-start item picker.

Changed

  • Item tooltips in the History browser and the session-start item picker are now Shift-gated. Hovering a history row, an Item Detail row, a Session Summary row, a Candidate Profile row, a Voter Profile row, a Raid / Boss / Season scope row, the wishlist tab in Player Intel, or the new LootPicker rows used to fire a full item tooltip on every mouseover, which made scanning long lists noisy. The tooltip now appears only while you hold Shift — and toggling Shift while still hovering shows or hides the tooltip live, no need to leave the row and re-enter. The same gate applies to the gear-at-roll tooltip on candidate rows.
  • Stacked modals no longer get punched through by their underlying tooltips. GameTooltip's default TOOLTIP strata sits above DIALOG, so when a Browser modal stacked over the main History panel and a row underneath was somehow still hovered, its item tooltip would render over the covering modal. The Loothing tooltip helper now pins the tooltip to the owner row's strata + a higher frame level, so any modal that visually covers the owner also covers its tooltip.

Compatibility

  • Bumped TOC Interface from 120000 to 120005 in both Loothing.toc and Loothing-Dev.toc so the live client doesn't flag the addon "out of date" once 12.0.5 ships to retail. No 12.0.5 API breakage applies — the audit pass against the new cooldown / loss-of-control / private-aura / secret-frame / %.Ns rules turned up zero call sites in either Loothing or Loolib.
  • Loolib bumped to 2.1.4 for the matching Interface bump (no behavior change).
