Settings survive a restart on WoW Forever
- The Forever beta client writes addon saved variables at logout but never
reads them back, for any addon. Settings are now kept in per-character macros
which the client does save and restore.
They are written a few seconds after every change, at logout, and on demand
with
/lbdr save. Leave those macros alone - they are your settings. - Saved variables are still written and are tried first, so a fixed client takes over on its own.
- Only values that differ from the defaults are stored, packed down to two or three macro slots.
- Known limit: the drop log (sessions, events, item and mob names) still lives in the account-wide saved variables and is too large for macros, so on the Forever beta it does not survive a restart. The rate window works within a session as before.
Settings panel rebuilt
- A menu on the left and one wide column of options on the right, shared with the other LoneBit addons.
- Sliders and the scrollbar are clearly visible. Shift or Ctrl and the mouse wheel move a slider one step at a time.
- The Profiles page shows the state of the macro store and has a Save now button.
Under the hood
- The core, the widgets and the panel skeleton are now the same files as in LoneBit UI Forever, so fixes land in every addon at once.
