Description

The purpose of this addon is to indicate where on the minimap/worldmap/battleground minimap a party or raid member is. It also marks those who have set a role for themselves with a role icon colored for their class. This is done swapping out the texture WoW uses to display the blips on the map. We currently leveraging the Astrolabe library to place icons on the minimap. It was inspired by the need to differentiate between the dots when playing in a battleground so as to allow for easier coordination.

Instructions

Right click on the frame of a party or raid member and select an option from the 'Locate Buddy' menu. Optionally, have members set a roll or set one yourself if you are raid/party leader.

Notes

Currently does not automatically show DPS on the minimap, only Tanks and Healers. Does show roles automatically on battleground/worldmap.

Todo

Find event so that battleground map gets updated correctly first time. Implement a config interface so that people can configure indicator functionality for themselves.
