LittleHelpers

A small add-on that automatically handles everyday routine tasks like selling junk, repairing gear, sorting bags, and depositing reagents.

LittleHelpers

A small, self-contained collection of quality-of-life automations for the things you do hundreds of times a day: emptying your bags at a vendor, repairing, clearing your mailbox, opening loot bags. Every feature is a single checkbox you can turn on or off independently, and anything that could cost you gold or make an irreversible decision is off by default.

No external libraries, no dependencies, no minimap clutter. One Lua file.

Features

At the merchant

Sell gray junk automatically (on by default) Sells every poor-quality item that has a vendor price the moment you open a merchant window. Items without vendor value are left alone.

Repair automatically (on by default) Repairs your gear using your own gold whenever the merchant offers repairs and you can afford it.

Merchant summary in chat (always on) After each visit you get one line telling you how many items were sold, what they brought in, and what the repairs cost — for example "Sold 12 items for 4g 31s. Repaired gear for 18g 02s."

Bags, bank and mail

Sort bags when opened (on by default) Triggers Blizzard's own bag cleanup when you open your bags.

Deposit reagents at the bank (on by default) Moves your crafting materials into the reagent bank when you open the bank.

Open mail automatically (on by default) Collects all attachments and money from your mailbox, one letter at a time. Cash on Delivery mail is never opened automatically, so you can never be charged gold by surprise. Prints a summary when it is done.

Open containers automatically (on by default) Opens openable containers sitting in your bags — loot bags, clams, chests and the like — while you are out of combat. Locked containers that need a key or lockpicking are skipped. Detection reads the item tooltip rather than a hardcoded item list, so newly added containers work without an addon update.

Death and resurrection

Release spirit automatically (off by default) Releases your spirit if nobody has resurrected you within five seconds — enough time for a combat resurrection to land. In battlegrounds and arenas, where no combat resurrection exists, it releases almost instantly instead. If an ongoing boss encounter blocks the release, it keeps retrying and releases as soon as combat ends.

Accept resurrection automatically (off by default) Accepts resurrection offers without showing the confirmation dialog.

Social and prompts

Decline duel requests (off by default) Turns down duel challenges automatically, including pet battle duels.

Confirm loot prompts (off by default) Confirms the "Bind on Pickup" prompt that appears when you loot an item that binds when picked up.

Decline friend requests (off by default) Declines incoming Battle.net friend requests. Note that a declined request cannot be restored, so leave this off if you expect requests from people you know.

Configuration

Everything lives under Options > AddOns > LittleHelpers. Hover any option for a tooltip; the ones whose behaviour is not obvious from the label also carry a short help line underneath.

Settings are stored per account.

Localization

LittleHelpers follows your client language. German clients get German options and messages, every other client gets English.

Notes

  • Features that touch your gold or make irreversible choices are off by default.
  • Automations are held back during combat where that matters, and while merchant, bank or mail windows are open, so they never fight with what you are doing.
  • Truly instant, click-free looting of corpses is deliberately not included: the game requires a real keypress or mouse click for that, and no addon can work around it.
