Lightward Sentinel is a lightweight audio reminder for Protection Paladins in World of Warcraft Retail 12.1.5. It warns before Consecration is expected to end and when Divine Guidance reaches your selected stack threshold.

Features

• Consecration warning: 5 seconds before expiry by default, adjustable from 1 to 15 seconds. Recasting starts a new reminder cycle.
• Divine Guidance warning: 5 stacks by default, adjustable from 1 to 5. Warns once per threshold cycle and rearms after stacks are consumed or drop below the threshold.
• Independent sound settings for both reminders.
• Text-to-speech with editable text, available system voices, and 0–100 volume.
• Built-in Blizzard alert sounds; optional LibSharedMedia sounds, including voice packs registered by other addons.
• A searchable sound picker with instant preview and scrolling.
• A movable status panel that distinguishes observed, estimated, and unknown data; optional on-screen alert text.
• Active monitoring only while using the Protection specialization.

Getting started

Install with CurseForge, restart WoW if necessary, and enable Lightward Sentinel. No additional addon is required for built-in sounds or available system TTS voices.

The settings interface is primarily in Chinese in this release. The project documentation is provided in English and Chinese.

Accuracy and Retail restrictions

The addon uses publicly readable Consecration ground-effect timing when available. Otherwise it estimates from successful manual Consecration casts, using a configurable 12-second duration. It does not determine whether you are standing inside Consecration. Automatically generated ground effects may not be tracked when their timing is unavailable.

Divine Guidance uses readable aura stacks when available. Otherwise it estimates one stack per successful Shield of the Righteous or Word of Glory cast, up to five; manual Consecration resets the estimate. The estimated stack duration is 30 seconds. Talent effects, automatic triggers, and game updates may cause estimates to differ from actual stacks.

Restricted/secret values are not compared or used for decisions. If spell-cast information is also restricted, the addon stops the affected estimate until a reliable starting point or readable data becomes available. Reloading in combat may leave stacks unknown; a manual Consecration cast can establish a new estimate. These are reminders, not guaranteed exact combat tracking.

Sound and volume

The public release does not change your game volume on login. TTS and ordinary sounds remain subject to client/system volume and available audio resources. The optional Louder button or /lws louder sets game master volume to at least 60%, uses the Master channel for both alerts, and sets TTS volume to 100%. This also makes other game audio louder. Subsequent manual volume changes are respected.

No third-party voice-pack audio is included. LibSharedMedia and voice packs are optional; unavailable audio falls back to a Blizzard alert without discarding the saved choice.

常用命令

/lws 打开奉献设置；/lws guidance 打开神恩指引设置。

/lws test 试听奉献；/lws test guidance 试听层数提醒。

/lws 5 设置提前 5 秒；/lws stacks 5 设置 5 层提醒。

/lws hud 显示或隐藏状态框；/lws unlock 解锁拖动；/lws lock 锁定。

/lws status 查看状态；/lws sync 脱战后同步；/lws on 或 /lws off 开关监控。

请了解估算方式

奉献优先读取公开可用的地面效果计时，无法读取时按主动施放和默认 12 秒持续时间估算，不判断角色是否仍站在奉献内。自动生成的奉献在数据不可读时可能无法跟踪。

神恩指引优先读取可用的增益层数，受限时按正义盾击、荣耀圣令的成功施放每次加一层，最多五层；主动奉献清零，最后叠层后默认 30 秒估算到期。天赋、自动触发或补丁变化可能导致估算与真实层数不同。

如果连施法信息也受限，插件会停止对应估算，等待可靠数据或新的起点；战斗中重新加载后可能显示未知，主动施放一次奉献可以建立新的估算起点。本插件不能保证精确实时读取战斗层数。

音量说明

公开版不会在登录时自动更改游戏音量。手动点击“响亮预设”或输入 /lws louder，会将游戏总音量提高到至少 60%、两项提醒切到 Master 主声道、TTS 调到 100%。其他游戏声音也会一起变大，之后手动修改的音量不会被反复覆盖。

本插件不附带或重新分发第三方语音文件，无需额外音源也可使用内置音效和可用的系统 TTS。设置界面目前以中文为主。

If a reminder does not behave as expected, include your WoW version, addon version, specialization/talents, whether the panel showed estimated or observed data, and the steps to reproduce. You can use /lws status and /lws debug to gather relevant addon details. Do not include account credentials or private logs.
