What's new

0.4.38 - Rogue: consistent sound and independent alert volumes
Raid volume now scales the original monitor beep instead of changing to a different recording. Pitch, waveform timing, and duration remain consistent at every volume.
Added separate toggles, 0-200% volume controls, and preview buttons for routine beeps, low-health/urgent heartbeat, low mana, and flatline/death alerts. Zero volume mutes; 100% preserves the original recording; 200% doubles amplitude without clipping.
Raid volume affects routine beeps only. Health, mana, and flatline levels remain independent of raid mode. Global sound and critical-alert master switches remain respected; critical master now includes low mana.
Health alerts take priority over mana, then routine beeps. Disabled/muted health or mana alerts fall back to other eligible sounds. Preview does not enable an alert.
Settings remain character-specific, and existing master preferences are preserved. Game SFX volume still applies. Party audio playback remains pending.
Validation: Lua syntax, sound-selection/toggle tests, and WAV waveform/amplitude checks. Live WoW playback verification remains required.
0.4.37 - Rogue: laptop frame recovery
The combat meter now shrinks to 180 x 98, with adaptive columns and a compact toolbar. The minus/plus button collapses it to a title bar and restores its previous height.
Combat rows retain class colors and show Tank/Heal/DPS roles from saved role overrides, main-tank assignments, or group-role assignments. Pets use their owner's role; unassigned roles show ? and an Unassigned tooltip.
Added /lsrescue and a Recover frames button at the top of /lsoptions. Out of combat, these show character frames and both meters, restore readable sizes/opacity, unlock movement, and bring them onto the screen.
Recovery clears independent unit-frame positions/scales as well as resetting the character container. Combat bindings, commentary preferences, and combat history are preserved.
Added /lsframes to report whether the character container and meters are hidden, hidden by a parent, off-screen, partly off-screen, or visible. Also reports available unit-frame counts; absent group members are not previewed.
A recovery attempted during combat makes no changes and asks you to retry afterward.
Validation: Lua syntax and automated recovery/status checks; live laptop/WoW visual verification remains required.
0.4.36 - Rogue: separate meters and layout fixes
Kept threat in its own dedicated window with its existing saved settings.
Added a separate combat window for DPS, damage, HPS, effective healing, damage taken, overhealing, interrupts, dispels, and deaths, using the existing combat-stat collector.
Added independent visibility controls: the Show threat meter checkbox and the Show / hide combat meter button on the Meters settings page. `/lsmeter toggle` toggles only the combat window; `/lsthreat toggle` toggles only threat.
Each meter has its own saved position, dimensions, and movement/resizing lock. The combat window has a Lock/Unlock button.
Added combat View, Fight, and Pets selectors, scrollable player rankings, and click-to-open spell totals. Current/last fight, session overall, recent fights, and merged/separate/hidden pet views are available.
Added `/lsdps`, `/lshps`, and `/lshealing`. `/lsmeter` shows the combat window; `/lsmeter hide` hides it; `/lsmeter options` opens settings; `/lsmeter resetposition` restores its position. Other views: `/lsmeter damage`, `taken`, `overheal`, `interrupts`, `dispels`, or `deaths`.
Increased spacing between general-settings sliders, constrained window titles and binding labels, separated meter name/value columns, and kept spell-breakdown rows clear of the Close button.
Kept historical fight identifiers unique after clearing statistics, preventing an old selection from pointing to a new fight.
Validation: Lua 5.1 syntax checks passed across the family pack. Automated tests passed for combat accounting, DPS/HPS, pet grouping, utility counts, history/reset, independent combat controls, and combat/breakdown row bounds. In-game visual and live-client verification remains outstanding.
Combat statistics cover group members within local combat-log range and reset on reload/logout. DPS/HPS use fight duration. Threat uses the current hostile target.
0.4.35 - Combined meters and stable frame movement
Replaced the separate Threat meter and Threat warnings navigation tabs with one Meters page. Threat-warning calibration is available inside Meters.
Added selectable DPS, damage, HPS, effective healing, damage taken, overhealing, interrupts, dispels and deaths alongside the existing threat display.
Added independent standalone and unit-frame view selectors and visibility toggles. Existing threat/TANK behavior remains the default.
Added current/last fight, session overall and five recent combat segments, class-colored rankings, spell-total breakdowns, and a confirmed reset button. Recent fight selections retain their identity as new fights finish.
Added merged, separate or hidden pet rows for combat statistics. Pet frames show their own contribution. Threat pet visibility remains separately configurable.
Fixed floating-frame mouse movement across UI/parent scales. Resizing preserves the top-left corner; release, locking and combat stop adjustment. Saved positions migrate to consistent screen coordinates, and layout updates preserve individual sizes.
Added separate move-handle and resize-handle toggles, a combined lock, frame visibility, and a reset for character-frame positions and sizes.
Kept the meter's downward expansion, 5%-200% width, row controls, background opacity and readable outlined text. Added a movement/resize lock and a View selector on wide meters.
Preserved class artwork, minimap/Titan icons, mature-content controls, jokes, commentary, shield sharing and existing warnings.
Updated login instructions and release documentation. DK remains parked separately outside TBC packs.
Passed Lua 5.1, nine-edition simulated startup, combat accounting, pet/segment, scaled-mouse and regression checks. Live WoW verification is still required.
Combat statistics use the local combat log for your group and reset on reload/logout. Rates use elapsed fight time, not individual active time. Damage excludes overkill and group/self damage; healing excludes overhealing. This release does not claim full Recount/Details parity: no cross-client combat synchronization, absorb-healing attribution, or saved-session history is included.
0.4.34 - Personality categories; DK development kept separate
Preserved existing comedy and mature lines, and added the supplied notes to a shared personality catalog.
Added event-linked Bluey low-mana lines, a pull/tank callback, and Warlock pet-target-death safeword callbacks without adding extra chat messages or changing cooldowns.
Added a collapsed Humor categories section under Commentary: Smartass, Absurd, Pop culture, Bluey, Mature/kink and Role insults. Selections default on; existing comedy, role and channel switches remain authoritative.
Kept mature content intact. The Mature/kink switch selects that content; the existing word-bleep filter remains a separate option. Plain useful information remains when a line/category is suppressed.
Existing wand/cast-time humor remains, with Absurd/Pop culture category controls.
Preserved interrogation and after-action material for future validated event hooks; no unsupported reports or quest events are invented.
Started a separate Wrath DK alpha with rune/Runic Power telemetry and Death Grip commentary. It is parked outside all TBC release packs and is not a production edition.
Lua, simulated startup, category filtering, plain fallback and packaging checks passed. Live game testing remains required.
0.4.33 - Independent callout controls and raid beep volume
Added Healer, Tank, DPS and Self/System callout switches under Commentary. Existing master, personal and group switches remain in effect.
Added a separate Comedy/Personality switch. Turning comedy off uses plain informational messages and suppresses flavor-only lines without changing detection or timing.
Added independent Visual Alerts and Sound Alerts switches. Disabling callouts leaves telemetry and enabled visual warnings running.
Resurrection/bandage whispers and guild level-up messages honor the relevant output preferences. Aggro callouts retain player/target names and distinguish assigned healers from DPS.
Added optional Raid Beep Boost under Monitor sounds, off by default. Only the monitor beep changes while in a raid; regular beeps remain unchanged outside raids.
Added a raid beep volume slider from 0-100% in 5% steps, default 75%, plus Test Beep. Test previews the boosted setting when boost is enabled, including outside a raid. At 0% the boosted beep is silent.
Boost uses bundled sound variants, without changing global WoW volume. Existing SFX volume still affects playback. Critical/death tones retain their separate settings.
Consolidated new controls into existing Commentary and Monitor sounds pages.
Automated checks cover all nine editions, role filtering, comedy replacements, independent alerts, raid-only audio selection, volume assets and package contents. Live raid audio balance and UI testing remain necessary.
0.4.32 - Shared buff and effect timers
Added short-effect timer entries across all nine classes alongside existing class buffs.
Priest tracks Power Word: Shield, Weakened Soul, Renew and Prayer of Mending; other editions track their corresponding shields, HoTs and defensive buffs.
Show timers always or only near expiry, with a 1-300 second expiry threshold and adjustable RGB warning color under Class buffs.
Displays charges/stacks when reported by the client. Permanent effects have no invented countdown; missing temporary effects do not create reminders.
Uses remaining aura duration, separate from shield absorption estimates. SUB labels remain visible for substitutions.
Wider timer cells and four-column wrapping keep durations readable without moving threat into the resource bar.
Automated Lua and simulated-client checks passed. Live in-game verification remains necessary.
0.4.31 - Window controls and visible warning flashes
Fixed threat flashes appearing behind the control panel; increased pulse contrast and kept previews above options.
Separated General settings and Click bindings into compact pages. Removed duplicate navigation buttons and nested page borders.
Added a corner resize handle and saved size for the control panel, commentary window and standalone threat meter.
Added proportional resize handles for unlocked independent unit frames, warning displays, assist frames and the welcome window. Protected unit-frame resizing is disabled during combat.
Added right-click quick settings menus to minimap and compatible Titan/Data Broker launchers.
Standardized compact status-label font size so shield labels fit beside Weakened Soul.
Retained existing settings, threat calibration, class artwork and icons. Normalized release version metadata.
Lua syntax, simulated startup, warning pulses, panel navigation, resize persistence, combat guards and launcher menus checked across all nine editions. Live game verification remains required.
0.4.30 - Unified options and calibrated warnings
Added one movable control panel with sidebar navigation for all options. Open /lsoptions or existing settings shortcuts. Each page replaces the previous page and the host comes forward. Pages fit within the panel and the panel scales to the screen.
Threat calibration: 85.0%-99.0%, 0.1% slider and numeric input; default 95.0%. Uses scaled threat against your current target while grouped and in combat; tanks are excluded.
Cross the threshold for one flash/tone and warning. Danger remains visible until threat drops 3 percentage points below the threshold. Re-crossing triggers again. Taking aggro is a separate event and re-arms on confirmed loss.
Unknown data and target switches do not repeatedly trigger the same danger state. No queued or looping threat warnings.
Added threat warning enable, sound and flash toggles, separate threat/aggro text colors, background color/opacity, size, flash duration, position lock, and silent flash preview. Critical Alerts also controls tone playback. Uses the existing bundled warning tone; no recorded voice is included.
Warning appearance pages now use consistent sliders plus numeric fields for RGB colors, opacity and size. Health/resource thresholds accept 0.1% precision with their existing class-appropriate limits; zero still disables resource alerts.
Health/resource warning flashes are optional and trigger when the warning first appears. Existing monitor heartbeat behavior remains separate.
Druid retains Mana, Rage and Energy appearance and threshold controls; Warrior uses Rage and Rogue uses Energy.
Other-player aggro callouts, Mage buff-row gap fix, class artwork, icons and upload text are retained.
Simulated-client tests cover crossings, re-arming, aggro transitions, settings, navigation and all nine startups. Live verification remains. The separate reported action-bar wand block has not been diagnosed or claimed fixed.
0.4.29 - Other-player aggro callouts
All nine editions announce another party/raid player gaining aggro on your current hostile target.
Calls out the player and enemy with rotating jokes; excludes yourself, pets and assigned tanks/main tanks.
New Options > Commentary > Call out other players gaining aggro toggle, enabled by default. Existing master, self and group commentary switches still apply.
Announces once per confirmed aggro pickup. Holding aggro does not repeat; confirmed loss and reacquisition triggers a new immediate callout, even within the same fight.
Target switches and unavailable threat data do not rearm a held-aggro announcement. Encounter state clears out of combat.
These alerts bypass joke cooldowns; no delayed message queue. Requires the client to report threat and uses assigned tank roles.
Includes the Mage shared-buff-row gap fix and all prior changes, artwork, icons and upload documentation.
Automated simulated-client checks passed; live game verification remains.
0.4.28 - Mage buff-row layout fix
Mage armor and Intellect now display only in the shared class-buff row.
Removed the old three-part armor/shield strip and its reserved gap.
Mage frame height and grouped spacing now match the standard 84-pixel layout.
Existing Ice Barrier/Mana Shield status indicators and shared absorb overlays remain active.
Other editions retain 0.4.27 behavior; included for a matching family release.
0.4.27 - Class buff rows and SUB indicators
Added optional class buff rows to all nine editions, with class-appropriate selections.
Priest tracks Fortitude, Spirit and Shadow Protection; Prayer/Greater variants count as coverage.
Active buffs show icons and remaining duration; missing buffs show !, expiring buffs turn amber, unavailable unit data shows ?.
Cross-class resistance alternatives show the supplying icon with SUB; hover names the substitution and caster. Uses the strongest recognized resistance rank, preferring the native buff on ties.
TBC Might/Battle Shout and Wisdom/Mana Spring remain separate stacking buffs, not substitutions.
Options > Class buffs: master toggle, per-buff selection, and missing/expiring-only view. No missing warnings for unlearned spells.
Added space below resource bars; Paladin has room for two rows. Existing independent frame positions are retained and may need manual spacing adjustments.
Buff rows are informational, not automatic casting. Layout space remains reserved when disabled to avoid protected frame resizing in combat.
Includes per-project images, game icons, summaries and changelogs. Tested with simulated game APIs; live verification still needed.
0.4.26 — Priest chat click-through
Priest empty frame container no longer intercepts chat clicks or scrolling.
Grouped frames use a visible side drag handle; individual unit click bindings remain enabled.
Priest commentary background is click-through; title and buttons remain interactive.
Added rotating level-up jokes across all nine editions, suggested by Michelle.
Main options > Commentary now includes Level-up commentary and Share level-ups with guild.
Guild sharing is off by default and applies only to level-up messages.
Uses actual level-gain events with duplicate protection, existing master/self/group controls and word filter; no login announcements.
Added support-role introductions for all five demons.
Added Emotional Support Demon health, mana, Seduction, dismissal and return-after-death lines.
Explicit dismissal is detected separately from temporary pet absence, death and sacrifice.
Preserves urgent Healthstone/Funnel warnings and existing commentary/filter switches.
Added Commentary settings button in main options for all editions.
Added movable personal commentary boxes where missing; existing Priest/Mage boxes retained.
Added optional explicit-word filter for routed personal and party/raid commentary; off by default. This word filter does not remove every mature theme or direct whisper.
Threat meters keep their top edge anchored while rows expand downward.
Includes the Rogue startup fix removing obsolete UNIT_COMBO_POINTS registration.
Removed obsolete UNIT_COMBO_POINTS registration from Rogue, Warrior, Shaman and Hunter; power updates continue to refresh resources.
Wand announcements explicitly say spells have stopped and the player is switching to a wand.
Priest, Mage and Warlock share universal, class and rare wand pools.
Rare Fling Poo line has a 1-in-1000 pool chance per eligible joke.
Wand announcements run once per auto-fire activation; stop/start rearms them. Existing chat cooldowns prevent toggle spam.
Cast-time jokes resolve live timestamps to two decimal places; wand timing uses ranged speed separately.
Cast jokes have a 90-second check interval and 10% chance. No deferred party messages.
/lshumor wand on|off and /lshumor cast on|off control the new humor.
Existing self/group and master commentary controls apply. These packages target TBC; no Wrath package is included.
Removed delayed party retries that replayed jokes after their gameplay event.
Local and group delivery are attempted together; throttled messages are skipped.
Pending demon events expire after one second, including after stalls.
Added class-specific boundaries jokes to spell commentary, using existing commentary toggles and cooldowns.
Standalone rows show threat amounts beside percentages by default, including pets.
Added Show threat amounts beside percentages in threat options.
Compact k/m amounts use Classic API normalization; very narrow rows retain percentages with threat amounts in hover details.
Warlock pet jokes retain pending party delivery when local delivery succeeds during the group cooldown.
Prevents repeated local copies and respects Group commentary, master switches and party membership.
Options windows remain open together and come forward when their title or background is clicked.
Threat options now has a draggable title.
Kept alternate controls, including both pet-threat checkboxes.
Added Show pets on threat meter directly to the main options in all nine editions. Saved, optional, and off by default; updates the meter immediately.
Fixed the title drag area intercepting clicks on the main Threat meter button.
Raised threat options above other dialog panels.
Added Threat meter button to main options in every edition.
Right-click compact threat rows to open options.
Moved optional pet checkbox near the top; enabling pets allows at least two rows.
Added /lsthreat pets on and /lsthreat pets off commands.
Added Show pets on threat meter in threat Options, off by default.
Includes your pet in solo view and party/raid pets in expanded view.
Pets use their own threat, owner class colors, and owner-labeled names and tooltips.
Pet rows share the selected row limit and ranking; increased maximum rows to 80 for full raids with pets.
Updates on pet changes; missing pets disappear and dead pets are labeled.
Open /lsthreat, enable Show pets on threat meter, and raise Maximum rows if needed.
