Library Archives
There's a lot of lore in WoW that only exists on a plaque in some corner of a zone, or in a book on a shelf you walked past once. This addon keeps a copy of everything you read.
Open a book, plaque, letter or note the normal way and Library Archives saves the title, the full text and where you were standing when you read it. Later you can open your library with /books and read it again, all in one scrolling page instead of clicking through pages. Your collection is shared between all your characters.
It also comes with a list of 641 readables across 136 locations, so you can see what you've collected and what you're still missing. Every uncollected book shows where it can be found.
In the library window you can:
- switch between Collected, Uncollected and All Books
- sort by title, by location (grouped by continent, then location) or by what you collected most recently
- search titles and locations, or tick "Search text" to search inside the books themselves
- change the text size with the A- / A+ buttons
- use Show on Map to open the world map at that zone (if you've already read the book, it also drops a map pin where you read it)
- check your progress with the counter and progress bar, or click the counter to see a breakdown by continent
Matching
Plenty of readables share a title. There are several called "Plaque" and a couple called "Handwritten Note", and a lot of the Pandaria lore books have a second copy in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. So a book only counts toward the list when the title and the location both match. If you read something with the right title in a different place, it shows up as a possible match and you decide whether to confirm it. It won't quietly tick things off for you.

There's also a minimap button: left-click opens the library, right-click opens Uncollected, and you can drag it to move it. It's in the Addon Compartment menu too. The window can be moved and resized, Escape closes it, and it remembers your tab, sort order and window position.
A few things to know
Each page of a multi-page book is saved when you turn to it. If you close a book early it's marked as partial; open it again and turn through the rest to finish it.
The addon doesn't open, target or click anything for you, and it doesn't turn pages. It only records what the game shows you after you've opened something yourself. It also doesn't run anything in the background between reads.
The built-in list uses English titles and place names, so matching against the list only works on English clients. Books still get saved on any client language.
If you want to edit the list, tools/convert_books.py in the addon folder rebuilds it from an Excel sheet with Name and Location columns. Updating the list doesn't touch anyone's saved books.
If a book won't match, or you find one that isn't on the list, leave a comment with the title and where it is and I'll add it.
