Legacy Vendor

Legacy Vendor helps you safely clean old items out of your bags when visiting a vendor.
It is built for players who run old raids, dungeons, delves, transmog farms, achievements, and legacy content across multiple WoW versions, then need a reliable way to sell only the junk they actually want gone.

Legacy Vendor is no longer just a simple expansion toggle. It now supports per-expansion sell profiles, source filtering, strict seasonal dungeon protection, and visual bag previews so you can see what will be sold before you click anything.

Smart Filtering

Expansion Filters

• Choose exactly which expansions are allowed to sell
• Supports expansion buckets from Classic through Midnight
• Optional Expansion Meta Mode lets a checked expansion act as a broad “sell all in this expansion” rule

Per-Expansion Profiles

• Each expansion can use its own detailed filter profile
• You can keep one expansion broad and another one very strict
• Great for setups like:
  • sell almost everything from Wrath
  • only sell dungeon gear from Legion
  • keep all crafted items from Dragonflight
  • never touch Midnight except specific categories

Bind Type Filters

• Bind on Pickup (Soulbound)
• Bind on Equip (items that are now bound to you)
• Not Bound (old food, potions, reagents, misc items)

Only Sell Lower Item Level

• Optional per-expansion rule
• Equippable items are only sold if they are lower item level than what you currently have equipped

Safety First

Legacy Vendor is built around the idea that bag cleanup should be predictable.

Strict Seasonal M+ Protection

• Current-season scaled gear from legacy dungeons is hard-protected
• Prevents refreshed seasonal dungeon loot from being accidentally vendored just because it came from an older expansion bucket
• This protection runs before normal sell rules when enabled

Manual Sell Mode by Default

• You stay in control
• The addon shows a sell button at the vendor instead of auto-selling immediately

Confirmation Dialog

• Optional confirmation before selling

Item Exclusions

• Mark specific items so they are never sold

Safe Defaults

• Nothing meaningful should sell until your filters explicitly allow it
• Crafting-related categories stay conservative by default

Visual Preview

Legacy Vendor now gives you a visual preview of what will be sold.

Animated Bag Highlighting

• While a vendor window is open, items that match your current sell rules are highlighted in your bags
• Makes it much easier to trust your settings before clicking sell
• Especially useful for large combined bag layouts in modern Retail / Midnight

How It Works

1. Enable the expansions you want to allow selling from
2. Decide whether you want broad expansion-level selling or detailed per-expansion profiles
3. Configure bind types, rarity, slots, item types, and item sources
4. Open a vendor
5. Review the highlighted items in your bags
6. Click the vendor sell button and clean out your inventory safely

Filter Logic:
Items must pass the active filter chain to be sold.

In general, the decision order is:

Expansion -> Meta/Detailed mode -> Rarity -> Bind -> Slot/Type -> Source -> Item level checks

That means the addon is no longer just “sell all old BoP gear.”
It can be tuned very tightly for exactly the kind of cleanup you want.
