What's new

Changelog

1.4.0

Focus item

  • Pick the item you want to replace (character page → Upgrades → Focus item): your equipped items show as icons with their item level, the weakest in orange – click one to focus it, click it again to clear the focus.
  • Ledgerline lists where you get something better, sure and quick first: world quests that reward the slot (name, zone, item level, time left – click to track), upgrading the item itself with crests on hand, the lowest Mythic+ keystone whose loot beats it, and the lowest raid difficulty.
  • Dungeons and raids that drop the slot for your spec (from the Adventure Guide's loot filter) show as picture cards with the portraits and names of the bosses.
  • Focus hunt: every kill of such a boss (and every completed keystone of such a dungeon) counts as a try. Inside the instance the widget shows your tries and an estimated drop chance per try ("3× · about 4 %") and the chance you have had so far. The chance is an estimate: the slot's share of the boss's loot for your spec times the usual loot chance (Data/Season.lua → lootChance).
  • The focus also shows in "What to play" and in the widget.

World quests with upgrades

  • The Upgrades tab lists the world quests whose gear reward beats what the character wears in that slot – item level, gain, quest name, zone and time left; click one to track it on the map.
  • "What to play" recommends world quests when they hold upgrades and names the best ones with their zone, so a freshly levelled character is pointed at the quickest gear. Rewards for an empty slot are shown as "empty slot".

Group

  • New tab "Group": like the guild tab, for your current party or raid. Everyone shows with class, level and rating; group members using Ledgerline also share keystones, item level and Great Vault progress, alts included. The characters played right now come first. Kept for the session only.
  • Group keystones right away: joining a party asks everyone for their keystone – Ledgerline users and players with an addon that uses LibKeystone (BigWigs and others) – shown in the Group tab and in the widget. Ledgerline answers LibKeystone requests with your keystone too.

Character page

  • The overview is a dashboard now: the Great Vault with a tile per slot next to a keystone card (level, dungeon, loot and vault item level, the next Mythic+ steps), below "Improve gear" with the crests on hand next to the weekly checklist, then the recommended activities (without repeating the keystone card). The Progress tab no longer repeats the Great Vault.
  • Round character icons; the selected one is lifted off with a shadow and a gold ring.
  • Quiet fade when switching characters, tabs and pages.

Weekly checklist

  • Quests in your quest log say "Accepted" (or "In progress 50 %"), the others "Not accepted" and are dimmed. A click on an accepted quest opens the quest log on it.
  • Right-click a quest to hide it; hidden quests can be switched back on under Settings → Weekly checklist, also when they are not in your quest log.

Also

  • Gold history by day: the charts show the last 14 days, today's change and who earned the most today.
  • "Improve gear" no longer suggests an upgrade you cannot pay for – it says how many crests are missing for the next rank.

1.3.1

  • Window size: the new size applies when you let go of the slider (or the mouse wheel rests) – no more jumping while dragging.
  • Colour-blind mode also recolours the "ready" dots in the character list and the green lines in the tooltips.
  • Colour-blind mode shows a live preview of the status colours right under its switch.
  • The window can be moved and resized again at a large window size: on smaller screens the scale now stops where the window still fits (the slider shows it, e.g. "130 % → 103 %"). The title bar and the page headers work as drag handles.
  • Spec icons and spec names for all characters: the spec was sometimes stored as 0 right after login. It is now read again once the game has loaded it; until then the class icon is shown.

1.3.0

Also brings everything from 1.2.0 (upgrade planner, gold history): that release did not reach CurseForge.

Time budget planner

  • "Your time plan" on the account overview: pick 30 min, 1 h, 2 h or 3 h and Ledgerline plans the route across your characters that brings the most in that time – claim the vault, buy ready upgrades, the dungeons, delves or raid bosses still missing for the next vault slot – with the reason and the minutes for every step (switching characters counted). Click a step to open the character; finished tasks drop out. It replaces the "This week" card; the minimap tooltip keeps the weekly plan.
  • Typical minutes per activity live in Data/Season.lua (durations).

Guild sync

  • New tab "Guild" on the account overview: the characters of everyone in your guild who uses Ledgerline – keystone, rating, item level and Great Vault progress (raid · dungeons · world), sorted by keystone. Shared through hidden addon messages, never in combat or during a key; hidden characters are never shared. Switch it off under Settings → General → Group & guild.

Display

  • Settings → General → Display: window size (80–130 %, also the widget) and a compact list with one line per character in the sidebar and the comparison.

Introduction

  • The first time the window opens, four short bubbles show the characters, the weekly plan, compare & guild and the settings. "Show again" in the settings or /ll tour.

Login briefing

  • A few seconds after logging in, a small card shows what is worth doing on this character: claim the vault, ready upgrades, the best activities, gems and enchants. "Don't show again" or Settings → General turn it off; it never appears after /reload or when there is nothing to do.

Polish

  • Characters not logged in for over a week show "12 d ago" in the list and in the time plan.
  • Colour-blind mode (Settings → General → Display): blue and orange instead of green and red.
  • Error report: Ledgerline notices its own errors even with Lua errors hidden, shows a small hint once per session and /ll bug gives a report to copy.
  • /ll perf measures the window, the time plan and the gold history with your characters.
  • Soft animations: the window, "What's new" and the tour bubbles fade in, the tour's frame pulses.
  • Fix: sliders (level filter, window size) and the sideways scroll bar of the comparison can be dragged with the mouse.

1.2.0 (not published – included in 1.3.0)

Upgrade planner

  • New tab "Upgrades" on every character: the upgrades your crests buy right now, in the order that adds the most item level ("Hands 2/6 → 4/6 · Hero · 40 crests · +6 iLvl"), the crests you hold and can still earn this week, the tier discount from the "of the Mist" achievements, and how many crests are missing to max out every item.
  • "Improve your gear" and this week's plan point to ready upgrades ("60 crests ready – 3 upgrades, +10 iLvl").
  • All season numbers (crest IDs, cost per rank, item level per rank, discount achievements) live in Data/Season.lua; docs/SEASON_UPDATE.md explains how to update them, /ll verify checks them.

Gold history

  • Ledgerline remembers each character's gold at the end of every week. The account overview shows the last eight weeks as a timeline chart with this week's change and the top earner; each character's Items tab has its own chart. The history starts with this version and fills up week by week.

Fixes

  • The minimap button shows the new logo round and centred in its ring (it was cut off at the bottom).

1.1.1

  • New logo: ledger lines, a keystone and a gold L (minimap button, addon list, window, CurseForge).
  • "What's new" shows every version since the last one you saw (up to three).

1.1.0

New layout

  • Characters are listed on the left; click one to see everything about it on the right, sorted into tabs: Overview (gear to-do, what to play next), Progress (Great Vault, Mythic+, weekly quests), Professions & currencies, Lockouts, Items. "Overview" at the top of the list shows the account: key figures and this week's plan, plus a Compare tab with the table of all characters.
  • Settings open inside the Ledgerline window (gear button, right-click on the minimap button, /ll options) with tabs for general options, columns, currencies, weekly quests, hidden characters and data. The Blizzard settings page stays available under Options → AddOns.
  • New look: a calm, flat dark app – title bar with reset countdown and search, character list with spec icons and keystone badges, page headers with tabs, rounded cards, switches and steppers, a footer with the actions. Text in Inter, the game's gold as the only accent.
  • Character page: Great Vault with one box per slot (reward item level or "locked") and what is missing for the next slot; Mythic+ and the weekly checklist side by side; key figures in the header.
  • Progress bars: Great Vault rows show how far you are with marks at each slot ("1 / 8 dungeons", "3 more dungeons for slot 2"), the weekly checklist shows a bar per quest.
  • Clearer texts: "Improve your gear" and "Suggested activities" (German: „Ausrüstung verbessern“, „Empfohlene Aktivitäten“), vault hints in full words, singular forms where a count is 1.
  • Compact window (1000 × 600 by default, at most 80 % of the screen); a wide Compare table scrolls sideways instead of making the window wider. Windows saved at the old large size shrink once.

!keys and About page

  • Type !keys in party, raid or guild chat and Ledgerline answers with the keystones of all your characters – the group sees it too. Never in combat or during a key, at most once per 20 seconds, hidden characters stay out; switch it off under Settings → General.
  • "Share week" on the overview: one click posts a line about your week to guild or group chat ("My week with Ledgerline: 5 characters · 3 vault rewards ready · 14 M+ runs · highest key +12 …").
  • Progress widget: a small box on screen for the character you are playing – item level, Great Vault bars, keystone, weekly goals and the suggested activity. Drag to move, click to open the character, right-click to hide; hides in combat (optional). /ll widget toggles it.
  • "Hide characters below level" is a slider (drag, click or mouse wheel).
  • "What's new": after an update the release notes open once in game (close them with one click); /ll changelog or Settings → About shows them again.
  • Settings → About: who builds Ledgerline, and the Buy Me a Coffee link to copy.

This week – your account plan

  • A new card under the key figures shows the three best next moves across all your characters (claim a vault reward, the keystone that drops better loot, the vault slot that is one run away …). Click a move to open that character.

Great Vault preview

  • Unlocked slots show the item level they reward, and what raises them: "A +10 raises vault slot 1 to iLvl 315 (+7)". "Play next" uses this too. The numbers come from the game's own preview.

Fixes from in-game checks (/ll verify)

  • Mythic+ advice uses this season's loot table (end of dungeon and Great Vault, from Wowhead): the game's own reward API answers 0 for the end-of-run loot in 12.1.5.
  • Enchant advice knows Midnight's enchantable slots (head, shoulders, chest, legs, feet, rings, weapon) – no more "Enchant: Wrists, Back".
  • Professions: concentration and knowledge show up again (the game reports skill 0/0 without the profession window open).

More reach

  • Translations: French, Spanish (also for Latin American clients), Brazilian Portuguese and Russian.
  • LibDataBroker: a data source for ElvUI, Titan Panel, Bazooka and similar panels (text: waiting vault rewards and keystones; tooltip: this week's plan). Uses the library your panel addon ships.
  • Warband currencies: transferable currencies of your alts update without logging in.

1.0.2

  • The minimap button tooltip shows "This week": the best next moves across all your characters (e.g. "Aelyndra: Open the Great Vault", "Kaelthys: Mythic+ – your +8 drops iLvl 308").
  • Gear to-do updates live when you enchant, socket or upgrade an item you are wearing.
  • Upgrade advice shows the target item level again ("Champion 2/6, up to iLvl 308"): Ledgerline learns it from your fully upgraded items, because the game reports 0.
  • Mythic+ loot item levels have a second source in case the game's first answer is empty.
  • New /ll verify (for bug reports): records what the game reports for upgrades, rewards, lockouts and professions into the SavedVariables.

1.0.1

  • Fixed: "Play next" could quote wrong Mythic+ item levels (e.g. "keys from +8 drop 284") when test characters had been added; Ledgerline now always uses the game's own reward levels and asks the server for them at login. Wrong stored values are removed automatically.
  • Fixed: upgrade advice no longer shows "up to iLvl 0" for items without a known upgrade target.
  • Fixed: a long weekly quest checklist no longer outranks the next Great Vault slot or loot upgrades.
  • Fixed: the "Items" and "Hide" buttons in the detail panel could appear without a label.

1.0.0

First release for World of Warcraft: Midnight (12.1.5). All your characters at a glance.

Your personal advisor

  • Gear to-do: for every character, what to fix on its gear right now, ranked by impact – claim the Great Vault, fill empty slots, empty sockets and missing enchants, upgrade the weakest item that still has upgrade levels left.
  • Play next: which activity is worth the most for each character – Mythic+, raid, delves or world and weekly quests – with the reasons: loot from your own keystone that beats your weakest item, the Great Vault row closest to its next slot, a raid already cleared, gear beyond Mythic+.
  • Item levels come from the game itself (Mythic+ rewards, upgrade tracks, vault rewards).

Overview

  • Key figures at a glance: total gold, Great Vault rewards waiting, keystones, weekly checklist.
  • A clean two-line list of all characters (level, spec and item level under the name), sortable by every column.
  • Click a character to open its detail panel: gear to-do, what to play next, vault slots, Mythic+, weekly quests, professions, lockouts, currencies and items – with actions to show its items, hide it or delete its data.

What it tracks

  • Great Vault: unlocked slots for Raid · Dungeons · World and a clear "Ready" marker.
  • Mythic+: keystone, season rating, this week's runs, best run per dungeon.
  • Weekly checklist: weekly quests you pick up are tracked automatically for every character.
  • Professions: concentration (also for offline characters), skill, unspent knowledge.
  • Item search: bags, banks and warband bank of all characters.
  • Lockouts and currencies: raids, dungeons, world bosses, crests with seasonal caps (optional columns, always in the detail panel).

Quiet by design

  • One chat line after the weekly reset names what needs attention (/ll summary any time).
  • Data from a past week is greyed out; low-level characters are dimmed.

Access

  • /ll, minimap button, minimap addon menu or a key binding.
  • Settings: columns, level filter, currencies, weekly checklist, summary, minimap button.

Technical

  • Event-driven, no polling; nothing is drawn while the window is closed.
  • No combat data, no protected actions.
  • English and German. Typeface: Inter (SIL Open Font License).
