# La Legión del Asado — Guild Addon

The official addon of **La Legión del Asado**, an Argentine World of Warcraft community. A guild panel, loot roulette, monthly rankings, and alerts for deaths, levels and PvP — with plenty of neighborhood flavor.

Works on **WoW: Forever** (Interface 16001) and **Retail** (same addon, same folder).

> **Note:** the addon's interface and messages are in **Spanish** (Argentine). Everything can be turned off from the Options tab.

## Features

- **The Grill (main panel):** guild message of the day, copyable links to the guild's website and Discord, and your guild rank.

- **Rankings:** *Asador of the Month* (recognition points given by officers) and *Pollo of the Month* (who died the most). Both reset every month; ranks use lifetime points.

- **Loot roulette:** an animated draw that everyone in your group with the addon sees, with the same result.

- **Levels:** a leveling race across the guild, plus *The Firsts* — "Pepito reached level 30 and is the first in the guild!"

- **PvP:** *Butcher of the Month* (honorable kills), first blood of the month and kill milestones. Faction-neutral.

- **Guild alerts:** deaths (who, level, where, and how many times this month), levels, points and PvP — on screen and in chat.

- **Death history:** the last 300 guild deaths with time and place, synced between members.

- **Sound announcer:** sounds for deaths, wipes, boss kills, epic loot and more. Replace them with your own `.ogg` files.

- **Portrait dragon:** a gold (elite) or silver (rare) dragon around your portrait, so you can tell the addon is active.

- **Officer tools:** give recognition points and run an attendance roll call for events (`/asado lista`).

## Installation

1. Download and extract the file.

2. Put the `LaLegionDelAsado` folder inside your game's `Interface\AddOns\` folder.

3. Make sure you end up with `AddOns\LaLegionDelAsado\LaLegionDelAsado.toc` (no double folders).

4. **Fully close the game** and start it again.

5. Type `/asado` or click the minimap button.

## Commands

- `/asado` — open the panel

- `/asado ranking` · `niveles` · `pvp` · `muertes` · `ruleta` — open each tab

- `/asado dragon oro` · `plata` · `off` — change the portrait dragon

- `/asado sync` — sync with the guild right now

- `/asado diag` — show which features your client supports (useful for bug reports)

- Officers: `/asado puntos <name> <n> [reason]` and `/asado lista [points] [reason]`

## How it works

- Members who have the addon share data through the game's internal guild channel: level, deaths (with zone), PvP kills and points. **The addon never connects to the internet.**

- Data syncs on login and on every loading screen (at most once per minute). It can be turned off in Options.

- Only things that happen **while the addon is installed** are counted.

- Who can give points is set by guild rank in `Config.lua` (`OFFICER_MAX_RANK_INDEX`).

## Known limits

- It cannot show **who killed you**: the combat log is closed to addons in these clients.

- Combat restrictions can block addon messages during boss fights; the addon queues them and sends them afterwards.

- Made for a specific guild: the text is Spanish and some features (points, rankings) make the most sense when several guild members use it.
