Keystone Compass

Keystone Compass is a standalone World of Warcraft Mythic+ gear and dungeon planning addon that turns your character, equipment and dungeon data into clear next steps.

Open the addon with /kc or /keystonecompass.

Main Features

• Compares your equipped gear with recommended Mythic+ BiS targets
• Supports separate Default BiS, manual BiS and Alternative items for every equipment slot
• Stores gear targets independently for every character and loot specialization
• Ranks current-season dungeons based on the number of open BiS and Alternative drops
• Displays all usable dungeon drops with item icons, secondary stats and tooltips

• Checks party roles and useful dungeon utility
• Provides optional assistance for dungeon targets, loot specialization, talents and post-run summaries

Gear and Dungeon Planning

Keystone Compass compares your equipped items with automatically generated Mythic+ BiS targets and shows which dungeons contain useful upgrades.

The automatic recommendations always remain available as Default BiS.

For every equipment slot, you can additionally:

• Replace the displayed target with a manual BiS
• Add one separate Alternative
• Remove an Alternative without affecting the BiS target
• Reset a manual BiS to restore the automatic recommendation

BiS and Alternative items can exist at the same time and are stored separately for every character and loot specialization.

Switching from Protection to Holy, for example, loads a separate set of targets. Protection alternatives never appear in the Holy gear plan.

Dungeon Ranking

Every open BiS item and every open Alternative counts as one useful drop.

Example:

means:

• 3 open BiS items
• 2 open Alternatives
• 5 useful drops in total

The combined number of useful drops determines the dungeon ranking. Already owned or completed targets no longer increase a dungeon’s position.

The personal dungeon view also displays other usable drops for the selected loot specialization, including their slots, item levels and important secondary stats.

Loot Specialization

Gear targets, dungeon recommendations and personal loot planning follow your configured loot specialization.

Changing your active specialization never changes the loot specialization automatically.

When you switch specialization, Keystone Compass asks whether you want to:

• Switch the loot specialization to the new active spec
• Keep the previously configured loot specialization

The addon applies a change only after you confirm it.

Mythic+ Progress

Keep track of:

• Current Mythic+ rating
• Owned keystone
• Best completed and timed dungeon levels
• Current-season dungeon progress
• Great Vault progress
• Hero and Myth upgrade resources
• Catalyst charges and other relevant seasonal resources
• Local snapshots of your other characters

Party Utility

Keystone Compass includes an independent party utility helper.

It checks the current party for useful Mythic+ capabilities such as:

• Bloodlust or Heroism
• Combat resurrection
• Interrupts
• Dispels
• Enrage removal
• Crowd control
• Required party roles

Players without Keystone Compass are included in the basic party composition and utility check.

Keystone Compass does not synchronize, compare or exchange group gear targets, personal loot lists or owned keystones.

Optional In-Game Assistance

Keystone Compass can provide optional assistance windows for:

• Personal dungeon gear targets
• Loot-specialization recommendations
• Loot-spec confirmation after changing specialization
• Personal talent reminders
• Party composition and dungeon utility
• Post-run summaries

Automatic assistance windows can be enabled or disabled individually in the settings.

Keystone Compass provides recommendations only and never automates gameplay.

Standalone Addon

Keystone Compass works fully inside World of Warcraft.

No website account, registration, team code or external connection is required.

Character, gear, target and progress data remain stored locally in the addon’s SavedVariables. Party composition is read through the information provided by the WoW client.
