Kedge's Compass v1.8.5
What's new
Kedge's Compass 1.8.5
Changes since 1.7.1.
Full client restart needed when updating from 1.7.x. This release adds a new file (KedgesCompassMap.xml), so /reload isn't enough.
Flight paths
- Opening a flight master's map records that flight master at your exact position.
- If the flight map lines up with the world, every other flight path on it is recorded too. If it doesn't, only the one you're at is recorded.
- Each character keeps its own list of the flight paths it has picked up.
- Flight paths you haven't picked up show on the compass in full colour, within 1000 yd by default.
- The nearest flight path you know shows on the compass greyed out. This is on by default.
- A message appears when you pass within 200 yd of a flight path you haven't picked up.
- Flight paths use the game's flight master tracking icon.
- Flight paths are shared silently with party and guild, using the existing share settings.
- Guild catch-up at login: the compass asks the guild once, and one member who has more answers. Everyone else stays quiet.
World map
- Gathering spots show on zone maps, including spots recorded on sub-zone maps such as caves.
- Flight paths show on zone and continent maps.
- A filter button on the map chooses what shows: ore, herbs, treasure, known flight paths, undiscovered flight paths, and ore and herbs for your professions only.
- The button starts in the map's bottom-left corner. Drag it to move it anywhere on the map. Its position is saved.
- Hover a pin for details. Right-click a pin to forget it.
Options
- New page: Flight paths and map.
- New "Reset map button position" button on that page.
- The share checkboxes on the Gathering page now cover flight paths too.
Debug
/kcompass debugnow reports flight path counts, which flight map API the client has, how well the last flight map lined up, and whether world map pins are set up.
Fixes
- The README listed the Support section twice.
