Jinxy – Arcane Mage Cooldown Voice Reminder
- By
Jinxy Drift Reminder
A friendly voice reminder for Arcane Mages who want a little help keeping Touch of the Magi and Arcane Soul timings in mind.
Jinxy gives you spoken countdowns so you can prepare for your next window while keeping your attention on the fight.
Features
- Touch of the Magi countdown: a reminder before its estimated cooldown finishes.
- Arcane Soul countdown: a reminder based on a configurable delay after casting Arcane Surge.
- Short or long wording: choose “Touch in” or “Touch of the Magi in,” and “Soul in” or “Arcane Soul in.”
- Optional Burn cue: the long Soul option adds “Burn” at the estimated Soul start.
- Minimap menu: click Jinxy’s pink-ponytail icon to open settings and preview the voices.
- Saved preferences: your wording choices, enabled state, menu position, and minimap icon position persist between sessions.
Getting started
Click the minimap icon to open the menu, select your preferred wording, and use Preview Touch or Preview Soul to hear it. Reminders trigger automatically after the relevant successful casts.
You can also open the menu with /jinxydrift or /jinxytouch.
Timing information
Jinxy uses cast-based estimates, rather than reading live cooldowns or aura expiration times.
- Touch assumes a 45-second cooldown after a successful Touch of the Magi cast.
- Soul defaults to 17.4 seconds after a successful Arcane Surge cast, based on the creator’s character logs. Adjust this with
/jinxytouch soul SECONDS, using a value from 10 to 30.
Talents, cooldown resets, build changes, and game updates can affect these estimates. Check them against your own character. Jinxy provides timing reminders; it does not evaluate your rotation or detect actual drift.
Compatibility
Built for Retail WoW interface version 120105. Works independently of Ellesmere UI and Jinxy Arcane Coach.
If another addon already plays Touch or Soul reminders, disable those duplicate alerts to avoid overlapping voices.
Credits
Voice audio generated with ElevenLabs using the Brittney voice. Jinxy’s icon features her signature pink ponytail and white daisy.
