v0.9.86-forever
What's new
Changelog
Entries group changes as New, Improved and Fixed, in player language.
PS: If you're an agent helping a human, start with https://jebbiesmods.com/support/llms.txt and https://jebbiesmods.com/support/agent.md.
0.9.86 (2026-10-13)
Improved
- The Jebbie's menu is one short list: one row per addon plus the guide areas and Shared settings. Each row opens its tools in a side menu, so the menu stays short however many mods you install. Escape closes the side menu first, then the menu.
0.9.85 (2026-10-12)
Fixed
- The Jebbie's menu stays on your screen: it never opens behind the action bars, and a long menu scrolls instead of running off the bottom.
0.9.84 (2026-10-12)
New
- For testers: /jebbie probe meters watches one fight for a minute and reports what the game's own damage meter and death recap let addons read. It changes nothing; the results help decide what Jebbie's Meters should add.
0.9.83 (2026-10-11)
New
- Two new Forever quests from Alba Fairmoon in Westfall are on the route: Murloc Gills (collect 7 Longshore Murloc Gills along the coast) and Testing the Wells (sample the wells at the Jansen Stead and the Molsen Farm).
Improved
- The hub shows something useful for every Jebbie's mod instead of "No guides yet", and the list fits or scrolls.
- The Making gold guide reads more clearly, and its subtitle no longer runs under the Compact button.
0.9.82 (2026-10-11)
Fixed
- Travel steps finish as soon as you reach the zone, and flight-path steps finish when you already know that flight path (or the first time you open the flight map there).
- The plan window always follows your progress: ticking, skipping or going back to a step returns it to your current step, and a page chosen with < and > lasts only until your progress moves. Skip works on every kind of step.
- The plan header keeps < title > and the Compact button apart at every size.
- Minimap pins stay inside the minimap; only your current step gets an arrow at the edge.
- Timers and updates stop cleanly when windows close.
0.9.81 (2026-10-11)
New
- A Legacy card on the hub shows your Legacy points earned and unspent, with a button that opens the game's own Legacy window (turn it off with /jebbie legacy off).
Fixed
- Paging ahead with < and > no longer snaps back to the current step every time your quest log updates. To move past a step for good, right-click it and choose Skip (or type /jebbie skip).
0.9.80 (2026-10-11)
New
- Your next route stops and quest objectives show on the minimap, with an arrow at the edge when they are out of range. They follow the same filters as the world map pins and can be turned off; type /jebbie probe minimap if they look off.
- Quest together: in a party, share your route and friends with the Almanac can choose to follow it. Followers stay on your current stop, their own quest log still decides what is done for them, and anyone can pause or stop following. The leader is told when someone still needs a turn-in before moving on. Party route invitations can be turned off in the settings.
0.9.79 (2026-10-11)
Improved
- The Making gold guide is a real guide in five steps, built for your level and professions: farm loops for your gathering professions with waypoints and what drops there (an hourly estimate once you have gathered and seen prices), sell, vendor or keep advice for each bag item with the reason, auction house deals and what to post with a button that opens Jebbie's Ledger's Simple Post, profession skill-ups that pay for themselves, and a short daily checklist. Empty sections tell you how to fill them, and nothing is ever sold or posted for you.
0.9.78 (2026-10-10)
New
- When an NPC lists several quests, each shows its level in the game's own difficulty color, for example "[12] Westfall Stew", so you can tell at a glance which are easy, right for you or too hard. The quest log and tracker already show this, so they are left alone. Turn it off in the settings with "Show quest levels and difficulty in NPC lists".
0.9.77 (2026-10-10)
New
- Harvesting the Harvesters, the new Forever quest from Ozwin Ironsprocket at Saldean's Farm in Westfall, is on the route next to the Harvest Watcher steps: collect 14 Golem Isosprings and 5 Harvester Gyrostabilizers from the farm harvesters.
Improved
- More of what Forever changed is on the routes: Rare Books and Stolen Enchanting Supplies in Elwynn, plus updated givers, levels and rewards for The Killing Fields, The People's Militia, Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty, Red Leather Bandanas, Goretusk Liver Pie and Poor Old Blanchy.
- Forever quests offered by an NPC show the Forever tint along with the badge in the quest window.
0.9.76 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- The guide arrow's label sits on a small, light backing sized to its text instead of a large dark box.
- "Dropped by" hints name the creatures near the quest: Westfall Stew's Stringy Vulture Meat now points to the Fleshrippers in Westfall instead of vultures on another continent.
0.9.75 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- The guide arrow's label plate is only as wide as its text and sits centred under the arrow, instead of a wide box running off to one side.
0.9.74 (2026-10-10)
Improved
- The guide and panel headers are simpler: "Your plan" as the title, with a short line under it showing your level and class, the zone you are headed to and, when the route knows it, about how long to your next level; and the leveling tabs named by level range ("Leveling 10-20"). Header text fits on one line in both windows, and older saved route names still work.
0.9.73 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- The arrow's label plate, the hub, the gear upgrade popup and the zone-switch prompt size to their text: nothing runs past a frame's edge or under its corner ornaments, the hub's Settings page scrolls instead of growing off the screen, and slider labels no longer sit on the next setting.
0.9.72 (2026-10-10)
New
- Quest pins on the world map: a yellow "!" at every quest giver near your level (grey for easy quests, hidden when too high, filtered for your class, race and professions, with the infinity badge on quests new in Forever), plus objective areas and a "?" at the turn-in for quests you have. Your next route stops stand out, Blizzard's own pins are not doubled, and hovering or clicking a pin shows the quest or sets the waypoint. Each kind can be turned off in the settings. The map data loads only when you first open the map, so it costs nothing at login.
Improved
- Where-to-look hints read cleanly ("Where: wardrobe in Furlbrow's farmhouse, pumpkin farm") with the where icon, on one line.
- The guide arrow's label is short and clear: the distance (always shown), the target and what to do there, plus a one-line hint; "behind you" is a small tag, and the badge shows the step type.
- Party progress sharing sends much less: only quests in your log and what changed.
Fixed
- The "1 done" count at the top of the guide no longer loses its first digit.
0.9.71 (2026-10-10)
New
- Play together: when your party members also run the Almanac, a strip in the guide shows how far each of them is on the current stop, objective lines show everyone's count ("you 4/8, Anna 8/8"), a Share button appears when someone lacks a quest you have (it uses the game's own sharing, only when you click), and at a turn-in NPC you see who still needs to turn in. Only quest numbers and counts are shared; turn it off with "Share route quest progress with Almanac party members".
- /jebbie probe checks what your game allows for party features and saves a short report, so we can tune them for WoW Forever.
0.9.70 (2026-10-10)
New
- A polished brass compass arrow that turns smoothly, glows as you get close and pulses when you arrive, with a matching round badge for the step below it and a readable label plate.
Improved
- The Jebbie's look is no longer boxy: rounded brass-trimmed windows, painted leather panels, real buttons and cards (a "Classic flat look" setting brings back the old style), plus new painted icons for every row.
- The "new spells at your trainer" card follows your text size, fits its title and shows each spell's icon.
- The zone-switch prompt names a route by where it goes ("Westfall and Loch Modan, levels 11 to 20"), only offers routes that fit your level and where you are, and says why.
- Route notes follow Blizzard's October 8 Forever changes (for example wands no longer gain spell damage, Elwynn's mines are less deadly, Book Return no longer leaves an extra Book Bag).
- Lua errors from Jebbie's mods are saved automatically so they can reach us through the launcher (turn off with "Send error reports").
0.9.69 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- Steps in another zone show that zone and its own coordinates again (for example "Westfall 55.1, 24.7" while you stand in Elwynn), and the arrow and the game's waypoint point to the right place.
0.9.68 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- Opening some windows could cause a Lua error ("bad argument #3 to SetFont") on the Forever client. Text boxes now always get the font settings the client requires.
0.9.67 (2026-10-10)
New
- Stops now say where to look, quoted from the quest itself ("inside Northshire Abbey", "at the watch tower in northern Barrens") for almost 4,000 route steps.
- The gear upgrade popup shows the new item's icon and the one you're wearing side by side, with the game's tooltips on hover and one line saying what changes ("+2 Spell Power, +2 Intellect, loses an enchant"). It never equips in combat.
- After a level-up, if the guide takes you back to an earlier unfinished step, it says so: "Back to step 2: still 4/8 Painted Gnoll Armbands".
Improved
- One Scale and Text size for every Jebbie's mod: set it once and every window follows. Your current setting carries over.
- Brighter, easier-to-read text with a light shadow and a "Bright text" setting; windows grow taller with scale and have a resize grip.
- New Forever quests that start from an item, such as Croaky's Head, get the blue tint too, and the route reminds you to keep the item and turn it in at Ridgepoint Tower.
Fixed
- A quest shared by a party member, started from an item, or picked up off the route now counts as accepted straight away, and the arrow moves on.
- Train steps wait for your real level: if the spells need level 12, the step says how much XP you need, the route keeps questing, and the trainer comes back as soon as you ding. Jebbie's "train now" advice checks the same thing.
0.9.66 (2026-10-10)
New
- Expanded steps: your route is grouped into stops, the way you actually play it. Each stop says where to go (click it to set the waypoint), who to talk to, and every thing to do there: turn in, accept, kill or collect with live counts. Finished lines fade, your current stop is highlighted, and the next five stops are always in view. Where the quest says exactly where to look ("the stone tower on Sentinel Hill"), the stop says so too.
- The same stop cards in the new and classic windows, a "Compact" button for one line per stop, and an "Expanded steps" setting to go back to one step per line.
0.9.65 (2026-10-10)
Improved
- The marker under the guide arrow follows the game's own signs: a yellow "?" for a turn-in, "!" to accept a quest, a flight icon for a flight path, and so on, with a short line under the name saying what to do there, such as "Turn in: Report to Gryan Stoutmantle".
- In the new guide window, long steps no longer run into the next one: each step grows to fit its text at any text size or scale, the Skip and Waypoint buttons get their own line, and the list scrolls when it is longer than the window, keeping your current step in view.
- One lock for both windows, with a padlock in the new window's title bar. If the window is locked and you try to drag it, a tooltip says how to unlock it.
- New painted icons for every row of the Jebbie's menu.
- /jbug tells players without the launcher where to send a report: jebbiesmods.com/bug.
0.9.64 (2026-10-10)
New
/jebbie resyncrebuilds your route from your quest log right now and tells you which step you're on. The route also rebuilds itself when you log in and as you accept, finish, abandon or turn in quests, so it no longer drifts from what you're actually doing.- A "Switch to classic view" / "Switch to new view" choice in the same place in both windows, in the settings, and as
/jebbie view classic,/jebbie view newor plain/jebbie view. - Click a step's title or number to read that quest's details, the same as the quest log.
/jbugsends a tester report with your current step attached, so we can see exactly where something went wrong.
Improved
- The new guide window and the classic window share one Scale, Text size, opacity and lock setting, applied live, so switching views never changes how big things are. The new window's text now starts at the classic size.
- Quests that need a skill first (for example "Raise your fishing skill to 20") say so, and never show a turn-in until the game says the quest is ready.
- For objectives that are new in Forever and have no location in our data yet, the arrow follows the game's own quest-map waypoint and says so.
- A ready turn-in shows as ready where it sits in your route instead of pulling you ahead past unfinished steps.
Fixed
- The infinity badge on new Forever quests shows on the map's quest panel again (it was hidden under the parchment).
- Skipping a quest sticks: it only comes back if you pick the quest up anyway or
/jebbie resync.
0.9.63 (2026-10-10)
Fixed
- The Almanac no longer tells you to turn in a quest that isn't finished. A quest counts as ready only when the game says so, or when every one of its objectives is done; until then the step shows the objective you still need (for example Book Return's "Picture Book: Fun with Elementals", which is found in Fargodeep Mine, not yet confirmed).
0.9.62 (2026-10-10)
Improved
- The blue tint on quests new in WoW Forever is easier to spot: it starts light at the top of the quest window and deepens toward the bottom, while the text stays easy to read.
0.9.61 (2026-10-09)
New
- Quests that are new in WoW Forever stand out: a soft blue tint on the quest window, a small infinity badge in its corner, and a blue infinity mark after the title in your quest log. Turn it off with "Mark new Forever quests" in the settings.
0.9.60 (2026-10-09)
New
- Dwarf Shamans and Undead Paladins, new in Forever, get full routes from level 1 to 60.
Improved
- A damaged saved file no longer causes errors at login: the Almanac repairs only the broken part and keeps your plan, progress and settings.
- Every piece of the Almanac's text is ready for translation, so other languages can be added later. English is unchanged.
- Behind the scenes, every build is now checked against the Forever client's list of game functions and loaded together with the other Jebbie's addons before it ships.
0.9.59 (2026-10-09)
Improved
- Red Linen Goods is on the Elwynn routes, with more spells and world facts, learned from play.
- The companion page uses Jebbie's colours and has a Getting started guide for a new install, Help and Report a problem links, and a notice when the companion has stopped.
0.9.58 (2026-10-05)
Improved
- The four Camping 101 quests new in Forever (Cooking, First Aid, Fishing and Mining) are on the Elwynn routes, along with more Elwynn creatures and trainer facts, learned from play.
Fixed
- "How to get it" lines no longer name enemy city guards. Cloth and other common drops now say "drops from most humanoids around level 50-60" instead of pointing at one creature, and shared quest objects on Horde routes point to Horde cities.
0.9.57 (2026-10-04)
New
- Forever changes seen: the companion app's page lists what the game does differently from the 2004 data (a quest a giver will not offer, a character who is not where expected, a quest whose level or objectives changed), with the levels, game builds and dates it was seen.
Improved
- Forever is still changing, so a quest a giver will not offer is no longer dropped from your route for good. It waits under Extra quests with a short note (for example "not offered at level 10, build 1.60.1") and comes back on its own if the game offers it again.
0.9.56 (2026-10-04)
New
- Each quest objective now says how to get it: which creatures drop the item, what to loot or destroy, or who to kill, with the place. Click a step's objectives to see the lines; the normal view stays compact. Quests new in Forever learn their sources as you play, and until then say plainly where the objective was seen.
Improved
- The guide follows your quest log: quests ready to turn in come first, and it picks up where you really are after a /reload.
- Gray quests far below your level move to Extra quests instead of becoming the next step, and Skip now skips a whole quest (accept, objectives and turn-in) instead of one step.
- The guide header shows your level and the guide's range separately, for example "You: level 10, guide: 1-10".
- While you are dead, the waypoint arrow points to your corpse and says "Your corpse", then goes back to your step when you are alive again.
Fixed
- A quest learned from Forever no longer lists every progress line it saw ("1/6 Lost Book; 2/6 Lost Book...") under the step.
- Delivery quests no longer show unrelated creatures as targets.
- A quest a giver will not offer no longer holds the guide in place; it moves on and keeps the quest under Extra quests in case it comes back.
0.9.55 (2026-10-03)
Fixed
- The companion app keeps running when it meets a damaged or half-written file: a SavedVariables file caught mid-save or removed during a scan, a broken settings file, or a damaged line in its own notes. It waits for the next complete save instead of stopping, and a fresh install with no character yet no longer repeats the same message on every check.
0.9.54 (2026-09-30)
Improved
- Gear upgrade tips count spell damage and healing for casters and hybrids, so a caster's spell power item is no longer ranked below a plain one. Wands get no spell power weight: in Forever they no longer scale with it.
Fixed
- The new guide window keeps your open tabs and settings more reliably when you use it with Jebbie's Satchel (the newest saved copy always wins), makes one clean redraw after a fight instead of replaying every change, lists guide groups in the same order in the menu and the guide browser, and opens a tab when a guide is made active.
0.9.53 (2026-09-29)
Improved
- Jebbie's brain can fetch its own engine when you turn it on: a small llama-server build for your computer (Mac with Metal, signed and notarized by Apple; Windows with Vulkan, or plain CPU), checked against its published fingerprint and then file by file before it is used.
0.9.52 (2026-09-29)
New
- Jebbie's brain, off until you turn it on: the companion can run Jebbie's decision model on your own computer (a 4.6 GB download, 9.8 GB for the larger model on big machines), or use your own Ollama or LM Studio. It loads only when a plan needs decisions, after a /reload, and unloads after two idle minutes, with a CPU mode for weaker graphics cards. Nothing leaves your computer.
- Steps show Jebbie's call when the companion made one: "Jebbie: skip it (78%)" or "Jebbie: train later (rule)", with a short reason. It is advice: every step stays on your route.
- Ask Jebbie in the companion: typed questions about skipping a step, when to train, and your bug report before you send it, answered by Jebbie's brain or by simple rules when it is off.
0.9.51 (2026-09-29)
New
- The companion has a Mac build that brings its own Python, so it runs on a stock Mac (macOS's own Python is too old for it), for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Improved
- The Almanac notes, in your own saved file only, where you died (and the creature you had looked at just before) and the quests you drop. They never leave your computer; they are there so Jebbie can later learn which pulls and quests are worth it.
0.9.50 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- Plans no longer skip quests right beside you when you level in another race's starting zone (Jason's Gnome in Elwynn walked past Red Linen Goods and A Bundle of Trouble at Eastvale Logging Camp). The planner decided which zone you were in from the single nearest quest giver, and a Goldshire giver's quest is for Duskwood, so Elwynn counted as another race's start zone and every quest there as a detour. It now uses the zone the game names, or a vote of the nearest quest givers.
- Quests new in Forever join the routes as soon as play has shown who gives them, even before anyone has turned one in: the turn-in is taken to be back at the giver (the step says it is a guess). From Jason's play: Good Steel (Hagar Lowe, Eastvale), Downstream, Book Return and The Great Outdoors. The quest window's own text becomes the step text.
0.9.49 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- The CurseForge and Wago downloads now include sounds-manifest.json (the licence and credits for Jebbie's sounds), as the jebbiesmods.com download always has.
0.9.48 (2026-09-28)
New
- Jebbie's Almanac is published to CurseForge and Wago too, with the same folders as the download from jebbiesmods.com (the addon and its route packs; never your plan folder). Update from whichever you use; the Jebbie's Mods app keeps working as before.
0.9.47 (2026-09-28)
New
- The routes mention Forever's nine new dungeons when you reach their levels, from Blizzard's own table: The Hall of Thanes (13 to 18), Ruins of Lordaeron (15 to 20), Excavation Site: Wetlands (24 to 29), City of Dalaran (28 to 33), The Drowned City (35 to 40), Krol'dok Stronghold (40 to 45), Alcaz Prison (48 to 53), Blackmaw Hold (55 to 60) and Shaper's Terrace (58 to 60). Worth a run with a group; the route itself stays solo.
Improved
- The new guide window: Settings in the Guides flyout has its own gear badge, and a menu inside a menu (like the Satchel's "Somewhere else") opens one level deeper, with Back one level at a time.
0.9.46 (2026-09-28)
Improved
- Getting ready for Forever's new zones (Zephras Isle, Riverglades and the rest), which the 2004 data does not have: the Almanac now notes the creatures you target out of combat (name, level, elite or rare, where), each flight master's route list when you open the flight map, and boat crossings (where you boarded and where you landed). This is how their routes get built. It only reads what the game shows you, never in combat.
0.9.45 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- A quest step no longer holds you when its giver does not offer it (Jason at Guard Thomas: Bounty on Murlocs, step 33). The check covered only the current step, so a second quest from the same giver right after it was never checked. Now every quest of that visit is checked when the giver's list opens: one that is not offered waits a level (or, not offered at 3 levels, is skipped as not in Forever), and the route moves on.
Improved
- When a quest giver offers a quest your route does not have, chat names it once ("Guard Thomas also offers Report to Gryan Stoutmantle (level 10): not on your route"). Once you take it, it shows under Extra quests.
- Every quest offer is recorded (a giver's list and the quest window, with who offers it and where), so quests new in Forever are learned even before anyone takes them. From Jason's play: Downstream (Ormin Pelford, east Elwynn) is learned, and joins the route once its turn-in is seen; Rough Wolf Pelts is now on the route.
0.9.44 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (opt-in) has the Guides flyout Jason picked: the "=" button (or "+" after the tabs) opens a panel on the window's left with your Jebbie mods on top (the Almanac shows your route and step, "Elwynn 1-10 · step 12"), then Professions, Gold and Settings. Pick one to see its guides and tools; Find nearest, the profession trainers and the quick settings open right inside it, and window settings live under Settings.
- Each tab in the new window has an "x" to close it.
Fixed
- The guide browser no longer says "0 steps" for the level brackets.
0.9.43 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- Riding tips at 40 and 60 follow Forever: the mount comes with the riding skill, so the tip no longer sends you to a mount vendor or adds up 2004 prices. The trainer shows the price.
- Paladins: the Judgement tip no longer says it spends your seal (in Forever the seal stays up), and the level 20 note names Consecration.
- Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Consecration are baseline in Forever: their trainer ranks now appear on the route's trainer steps and in the new spells popup.
- A quest the giver never offers stops waiting: after it was not offered at 3 different levels, the step is skipped as "not offered in Forever" instead of coming back every level. Go back from Skipped if it shows up after all.
Improved
- The Almanac records your side, zone, subzone and dungeon with what it learns in play, so Skyborne quests (whose side is not their race's), new zones like Zephras Isle and dungeon quests can become route steps. Dungeon quests learned in play count as group quests, never as solo steps.
0.9.42 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- The companion no longer stops planning after an unexpected error: it logs it (errors.log in its folder), shows it in the app, and keeps watching your game.
- Your first plan no longer needs a game restart: the companion makes the empty JebbiesAlmanac_Plan folder as soon as it finds the Almanac installed (restart once only if the game was already open then; after that /reload is enough). The folder is still never in the addon zip, so an update never wipes your plan.
- The companion's plans aim past level 20: they look ahead up to level 60, as the routes do.
Improved
- The Almanac records a trainer's list when you open it (what they teach, ranks, levels and costs), in the same format as Jebbie's Satchel, so the trainer lists can follow Forever's own spells.
0.9.41 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- Kobold Candles and Gold Dust Exchange: Forever took the candles out of Fargodeep and Jasperlode, and the drops come from the kobolds outside. The steps now point where they dropped in play, south of the Fargodeep entrance, and no longer send you into the mine.
- The new guide window: Background opacity in Window settings now steps down (90%, 80% ... 40%) instead of staying at 100%; the arrow comes back by itself after a fight; closing the window also hides the step item button.
- Brotherhood of Thieves, Milly's Harvest, Protect the Frontier and Pie for Billy point where their objectives were done in play (25 to 184 yards from the 2004 spots).
Improved
- The Almanac records your whole spellbook when it saves (spell, rank and spellbook line), so the trainer lists can follow Forever's own spells (Lava Burst, Riptide, Wild Growth and others) instead of the 2004 ones.
0.9.40 (2026-09-28)
New
- Four quests that Forever added since 2004 are now steps on the Northshire routes (every Human class), marked "Learned from Forever": The Big Picture, Follow That Kobold!, Shhh! We're Hunting Kobolds and The Adventurer. They come from Jason's own play, with who gives them, who takes them and where. Follow That Kobold! comes after The Big Picture, and Shhh! after Follow That Kobold!, as they were offered in play.
Fixed
- The Almanac now records who gave you a quest even when the game reports the accept after the quest window closed (Forever does this for most quests). Before, most quests learned in play had no giver and could not join a route.
0.9.39 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window has Window settings in its menu (the "=" button): scale, background opacity, text size and width (click a line to step through the sizes), "Lock the window and arrow", and "Reset size and position". The menu stays open while you click, so you see each change.
- The first time you open the new window, it takes the scale, width, text size, opacity and lock you set on the classic window. Settings you never changed there keep the new window's own look.
0.9.38 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window's menu (the "=" button) has what the classic "..." menu had: Find nearest (class trainer, vendor, repair, innkeeper, mailbox, flight master, bank), Find a profession trainer (all twelve), and Quick settings with a check beside each switch (the arrow, map pins, the game waypoint on each step, the zone-change route prompt, gear tips, the step item button, sounds). They open as a small menu beside the menu; switches stay open so you can flip several.
- Find nearest points the window's arrow at the NPC until you get there, then it goes back to your step.
Fixed
- With the new window on, "Set the game waypoint on each new step" switched off now keeps the window's arrow from setting it, and "Show the arrow" and the step item button switches apply to the window's arrow and button too.
- With the new window on, Find nearest no longer shows the classic arrow beside the window's arrow.
0.9.37 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (opt-in) now does what the classic window does: a checkbox on each step to tick it done (or undo it), done, skipped and waiting marks, Skip and Waypoint right on your current step, an "x" to hide a step's tips, "< Step N of M >" with "Back to step N" when you browse, the counts and a progress line, "(20 done)" when the numbers jump, the Extra quests section (quests the route does not have, with where they fit; show or hide), and a Skipped (N) link to the list of skipped steps with Go back and "Don't remind me". Making gold is a guide in the window too.
- The minimap button, the key binding and /jebbie show or hide the new window while it is on.
0.9.36 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (opt-in) is complete: when you level up with it on, the "New spells at your trainer" popup is in its lantern style, with new abilities under Essential and higher ranks under Optional, their costs, the total against your gold and the nearest trainer. And the step item button (your Hearthstone when hearthing is quicker, or the item your quest wants used) sits outside the window's top-left corner, beside Jebbie's portrait. With the window on, the classic popup and button stay out of the way, as the old arrow already does.
0.9.35 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- The window's header stays on one row at any width and scale: "< Step 27 of 52 >" sits together, then Guides and the other buttons. On a narrow window the counter gets shorter ("27 / 52") and the bug and gear buttons move into the "..." menu instead of wrapping to a second row.
- Browsing back and forth now agrees with itself: the counter shows the step you are looking at (the highlighted one), and a "Back to step N" link under it returns to your current step. The confusing "viewing step 29" is gone.
- The settings menu no longer cuts its lines short: it is as wide as its longest line, like the Guides menu.
Improved
- The new guide window is easier to find: it is the first line of the Guides menu ("Try the new guide window (beta)", with a short explanation when you hover it), and a one-time chat tip says where it is. You stay on the classic window until you choose.
0.9.34 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (opt-in) has one arrow for all your Jebbie guides. It points to the tab you are on: the next quest step on Questing, the next stop on a Satchel farm loop, with a badge for the kind of guide (a quest mark, a pick for mining, a leaf for herbs, and so on), the distance and what it points at. Switch tabs and it switches with you; the other guides keep track quietly. Click the arrow to open or close the window; drag it to move it (the first time it takes the Satchel's loop arrow's place). It hides in a fight, and on another continent it says where to travel. The game's own waypoint follows it too, set only when the target changes. While it is on, the Almanac's old arrow stays off, so you never see two.
Improved
- With Jebbie's Satchel installed, each profession appears once in the guide browser: the Satchel's fuller guide (shopping lists and farm loops) instead of both.
0.9.33 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (opt-in) has a guide browser: "Browse all guides" in its menu lists Leveling (your route and each level bracket), Professions (all twelve) and Gold, with a search box and a short summary of each; "Follow this guide" opens it. A level bracket opens in your Questing tab; a profession opens as its own tab with its steps; making gold still opens in the classic window. With Jebbie's Satchel, its gathering guides and farm loops are listed too.
Improved
- The guide window's menu stays short: a group with many guides (the twelve professions) is one line that opens the browser on it.
0.9.32 (2026-09-28)
New
- The new guide window (still opt-in: Guides, "Try the new guide window") has a menu: the "=" button, or "+" after the tabs, lists every Jebbie mod you have with its guides and settings. Pick a guide to follow it in a tab. With Jebbie's Satchel 0.1.43 or later (and its window switched on), its farm loops and gathering guides are listed too, so the Almanac's Questing tab and a "Copper loop" tab sit side by side in one window. The Almanac's lines: Settings, Report a problem, and Classic window to switch back.
0.9.31 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- Accept steps you cannot take yet: the step now says "Needs level 10 (you're 8)" in grey and waits until then, instead of "Right level". If the quest giver does not offer the quest when you talk to them (a grey "!", as Deputy Rainer did for Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty in Forever), the step waits a level, suggests another giver when there is one ("Or from: Wanted Poster nearby"), and remembers it.
- An "Accept" step now ticks when the quest is in your log however you got it: from the named giver, a poster beside them, or under another quest id in Forever (matched by name).
- Routes no longer include quests that need a reputation you do not have yet (Argent Dawn, Cenarion Circle and others). Every accept step on every route was checked against the quest's minimum level, race and class, earlier quests, exclusive groups, skill and reputation.
- The report form: a long "What happened?" now scrolls inside its box, and the "Include my character name" checkbox and Send stay below it where you can click them. A counter shows how much you have written (up to 2,000 characters). Enter adds a line; only Send sends.
Improved
- The Waypoint button now says what it did: it sets the game's own map pin and arrow on the step's target (a cave's entrance first), says "Waypoint set:" with the name, zone and map coordinates in chat, and opens the world map there. When it cannot, it says why (in combat, or no place for the step). Hover it for a short explanation.
0.9.30 (2026-09-28)
New
- A first look at the new guide window, in the Lantern Dark style Jason picked: a translucent dark panel with a brass rim, Jebbie's portrait, a tab for each guide you follow (the leveling route is "Questing"), and your steps with quest names in gold and NPCs in green. It is opt-in for now: Guides, then "Try the new guide window (beta)", or
/almanac window. The same again brings the classic window back. It is shared with Jebbie's Satchel, whose farm loops become tabs in a later release, so both mods use one window.
0.9.29 (2026-09-28)
Fixed
- A step whose target is deep inside a cave or mine (Goldtooth in Fargodeep Mine, for example) put the waypoint on the hillside above it. The step now says "Inside Fargodeep Mine: go in at the entrance (about ...) first" with its map coordinates, and the waypoint and arrow point at the entrance until you are inside, then at the target. The entrances start as estimates; the first time you walk in, Jebbie remembers the real one. Covers the caves and mines on the routes so far: Fargodeep, Jasperlode and Echo Ridge (Elwynn), Frostmane Hold (Dun Morogh), the Burning Blade Coven and Skull Rock (Durotar), Night Web's Hollow (Tirisfal), the Venture Co. Mine (Mulgore) and Fel Rock (Teldrassil).
Improved
- When the step list jumps a number (21 after 19), the row says why: "(20 done)" or "(20 skipped)".
0.9.28 (2026-09-28)
New
- When you level up (and at login), a small window lists the spells your class trainer now teaches that you do not have yet, with what each costs, the total against your gold (and how much you are short, if you are), and the nearest trainer of your side. "Find trainer" sets the waypoint; "Not now" waits until your next level. When a trainer is close, the current step also says "Trainer nearby: visit ... (N new spells, cost)".
- Hearthstone advice: when the next step is near your home inn, your hearthstone is ready and walking would take more than a minute longer, the step says "Hearth to Goldshire (ready): saves about 3 min", and the step item button offers the Hearthstone. It stays quiet when the next steps come straight back to where you are, and says "Save your hearthstone" when the route plans to use it soon. The Almanac learns your home when you bind, or when you pass your innkeeper.
- The quest item button is now the step item button: it docks outside the guide window's top-left corner, next to Jebbie's portrait, and moves with it. It shows the Hearthstone when hearthing is the better way, or the item your quest wants you to use, with its cooldown. You can bind a key to it: Key Bindings, AddOns, "Use step item". You always click or press it yourself.
Improved
- The Guides menu is as wide as its longest line and opens beside the guide window instead of over it (to the left when there is no room on the right).
0.9.27 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Routes were checked line by line for wasted travel. They now cross the sea (boats and zeppelins) about a fifth less often, and go there and straight back a third less often: a crossing waits until there is a batch of things to do on the other side. Quests more than three levels under you are taken only when they are on your way, and the routes go back and forth between the same two zones less.
0.9.26 (2026-09-27)
New
/almanacworks for every command, like/jebbie./almanac probeends with one "Facts" line (version, game build, your character, the route and bracket you are on, which route packs are loaded, and whether Jebbie's Voices and Jebbie's Satchel are there) to paste back when something looks wrong.
Improved
- With Jebbie's Voices installed, Jebbie now cheers a finished step, spells learned at a trainer, going back to a skipped step, and an extra quest that fits your route. Each moment has a short quiet time so a run of ticks is one line, and quests that already fit when you log in stay quiet. This replaces the version in 0.9.24.
0.9.25 (2026-09-27)
New
- With Jebbie's Satchel installed, a Herbalism or Mining step in a profession guide shows the zones where your Satchel has seen those herbs or veins most, and up to three of the nearest ones ready to gather now, with their distance and how often you have gathered there. Nodes still waiting to respawn are left out. Without the Satchel you get the usual zone hint.
0.9.24 (2026-09-27)
New
- With Jebbie's Voices installed (0.1.5 or later), Jebbie speaks at four more moments: when a step is ticked off, when you have learned your spells at a trainer, when you go back to a skipped step, and when a quest you picked up that the route does not have turns out to be on your way. The Voices settings decide how chatty she is.
0.9.23 (2026-09-27)
New
- Every Horde route now runs to 60: from Durotar (Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Mage, Priest), Tirisfal Glades (Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest, Warlock) and Mulgore (Warrior, Hunter, Shaman, Druid). 41-50 goes through Tanaris, Feralas and Un'Goro Crater, 51-60 through the Plaguelands and Felwood. With this, every race and class has a route from 1 to 60.
- Riding tips for the Horde at 40 and 60 name your own race's riding trainer and mount vendor. Shamans get tips for mail at 40 and Chain Heal.
Improved
- Restart the game once after this update: sixteen new route folders.
0.9.22 (2026-09-27)
New
- Every Alliance class has a route to 60 now: Mage, Priest, Paladin, Rogue and Warlock (from Elwynn Forest and Dun Morogh, the rogue from Teldrassil too), Druid and Priest from Teldrassil, joining Warrior and Hunter. The 41-50 and 51-60 brackets are in the Guides menu for all of them.
- New class tips for the later levels: plate for paladins at 40, Hammer of Wrath, Greater Heal, Death Coil and Howl of Terror, Innervate and Barkskin, and the warlock's Felsteed quest at 40 and Dreadsteed quest line at 60.
Improved
- Restart the game once after this update: twelve new route folders.
0.9.21 (2026-09-27)
New
- Warrior and Hunter routes now run all the way to 60 (from Elwynn Forest, Dun Morogh and Teldrassil for the warrior, Dun Morogh and Teldrassil for the hunter). Two new brackets in the Guides menu: 41-50 (Tanaris, Feralas, Un'Goro Crater) and 51-60 (Western and Eastern Plaguelands, Felwood). Trainer visits and class tips to 60, including plate for warriors and mail for hunters at 40.
- Riding: at 40 a tip names your own race's riding trainer and mount vendor and what it costs (about 100 gold in all), and at 60 the same for the fast mounts (about 1,000 gold).
Improved
- The quest data now covers levels 1 to 60.
- Where no quest fits your level for a stretch, the route first looks for quests a little higher (still orange, never red) before it tells you to grind.
- More quests make the routes: talk, delivery and explore steps of elite or dungeon quest chains count as solo, since they have no fight.
- Restart the game once after this update: four new route folders.
Fixed
- Horde routes no longer send you to a neutral quest giver who stands in an Alliance city (and the other way round).
- A quest's "Opens ..." line names the follow-up for your own side.
0.9.20 (2026-09-27)
New
- Leveling routes are organised in level brackets: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 and 31-40 today, with 41-50 and 51-60 to come. The Guides menu lists them under Leveling with the zones each one covers ("11-20 Westfall / Redridge Mountains / Loch Modan"), and marks the bracket you are in. Pick any bracket to look ahead or go back.
- When you finish a bracket, or level past it, your route carries on into the next one by itself, with a line in chat saying where it goes.
Improved
- The Almanac loads only the bracket you are in (and the next one when you are close to it), so it uses less memory and starts faster. Each class's routes come as one small addon per bracket.
- Your ticks and skips belong to your route, not to a bracket, so they carry across bracket boundaries. Quest skips from 0.9.17 to 0.9.19 carry over too.
- Restart the game once after this update: the route folders have changed.
0.9.19 (2026-09-27)
New
- The Horde gets leveling routes to 40. From Durotar (Orc and Troll): Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Mage and Priest. From Tirisfal Glades (Undead): Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest and Warlock. From Mulgore (Tauren): Warrior, Hunter, Shaman and Druid. Each has its class's trainer visits in the Horde cities, its class quests (the shaman's totem quests at 4, 10, 20 and 30) and class tips.
- Horde travel: the zeppelins from Orgrimmar to Undercity and to Grom'gol, the zeppelin from Tirisfal to Grom'gol, and the goblin boat between Ratchet and Booty Bay, with the Horde flight paths and capitals.
Improved
- When no quest fits your level for a stretch (it happens on the Horde side in the late 20s), the route now says to grind to the next level where you are and carries on, instead of stopping.
- Your ticks and skips on a class route now stay on the right steps when a later update changes the route.
- Restart the game once after this update: a new Shaman route folder.
Fixed
- A few quests that start from a wanted poster or an object could send you to hand them in to the other faction (an Alliance route to Tarren Mill, for example). Those are gone from every route.
- A druid's trip to Moonglade no longer takes the Teldrassil ferry.
- A travel step later in the route no longer shows as done just because you are standing where it ends.
0.9.18 (2026-09-27)
New
- Every Alliance class has a route to level 40 now. New: Paladin (from Elwynn Forest and Dun Morogh), Rogue (Elwynn, Dun Morogh, Teldrassil), Warlock (Elwynn, Dun Morogh) and Druid (Teldrassil), plus a Priest route from Teldrassil for Night Elf priests. Each has its class's trainer visits and quests (the warlock's Voidwalker at 10, the druid's Bear Form at 10, rogue poisons at 20) and class tips as you learn spells. No talent spells in the trainer visits.
Improved
- Restart the game once after this update: four new class route folders.
0.9.17 (2026-09-27)
New
- Warrior routes to level 40 from Elwynn Forest, Dun Morogh and Teldrassil, and Hunter routes to 40 from Dun Morogh and Teldrassil: trainer visits for your class, your class quests (Defensive Stance at 10, the hunter pet quests at 10), and class tips as you learn each spell. Nothing from other classes, and no talent spells in the trainer visits.
Improved
- Each class's routes now load only for that class (a small extra addon per class, loaded by the Almanac when you log in), so the addon starts faster and uses less memory. Restart the game once after this update so it sees the new folders.
0.9.16 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Problems while the addon loads, before its window exists, are noted too: which part failed to load, and any error in the Almanac's own start-up. They are kept with the saved bug data, so the Jebbie's Mods app and a later bug report can pass them on even if the in-game report form cannot open. The "Jebbie hit a snag" prompt waits until you are in the world.
0.9.15 (2026-09-27)
Fixed
- The Lua error at login, "Attempt to register unknown event LEARNED_SPELL_IN_TAB". Forever does not have that event, and the error could stop the rest of the addon from starting. The Almanac now checks each event with the game before listening for it and skips any the game does not have.
0.9.14 (2026-09-27)
New
- A Windows build of the companion app with its own Python inside (the official embeddable Python from python.org), so Windows players need nothing else installed. The Jebbie's Mods app starts and stops it.
Improved
- On Windows the companion finds the game the way the Jebbie's Mods app does: Battle.net's own records first, then the registry, then the usual folders.
- Run without a console window, the companion writes its log to its own folder (%APPDATA%\JebbiesAlmanac on Windows).
0.9.13 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Tips are no longer steps. Each tip shows as a small line with an "i" under the step it belongs to (a mage's "Conjure food too" sits under the trainer step). Tips have no number, never count toward done or skipped, never hold up the list, and a small x hides one for good. Step numbers and "Step N of total" count real steps only.
- Tips you had already read or skipped stay hidden.
0.9.12 (2026-09-27)
New
- Every step line has a checkbox: tick it when you have done the step (the list moves on), tick it again to undo. It is not the same as Skip, and the done count and progress bar include your ticks. On a tip, the tick reads it, like Got it.
/jebbie whyshows what the current step checks: for a trainer step, each spell, whether it counts as learned and how.
Improved
- The Almanac's icon in the AddOns list is round, in the same gold rim as the other Jebbie mods.
Fixed
- A trainer step now ticks off once you have trained. It checks each spell in your spellbook by name and rank as well as by its id (your client's ids can differ from the old data), and it checks again the moment you learn a spell, instead of waiting for the next quest update. The companion plans from the same check, so it stops sending you back to a trainer you already visited.
- Ticks and skips on "Your plan" (the companion's plan) are kept when the companion writes the next plan.
0.9.11 (2026-09-27)
New
- Works with Jebbie's Voices: with it installed, Jebbie's voice for a finished quest, a trainer visit and a gear upgrade comes from Voices (with its own settings, cooldowns and quiet in combat). The Almanac's jingle stays. Without Voices, nothing changes.
0.9.10 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Jebbie's portrait in the viewer, on the minimap button and in the gear tips is now Jason's own toon Jebbie. The painted Jebbie stays on the website.
0.9.9 (2026-09-27)
New
- The companion app ships as its own download, so the Jebbie's Mods app can start and stop it for you (beta first).
Improved
- "What's new" opens with the Jebbie's Mods line: Vanilla-style addons, built fresh for Forever. Free for life. Welcome back.
- The companion checks jebbiesmods.com for a newer Almanac (stable, or beta if you choose), and uses the game folder the Jebbie's Mods app picked.
0.9.8 (2026-09-27)
New
/jebbie bug testsends a report marked as a test, so you can check that reporting works end to end. The site labels it [TEST] and closes it.
0.9.7 (2026-09-27)
New
- Report a problem from the game: the bug button in the guide's header, or
/jebbie bug. Pick what kind of problem (wrong zone or route, wrong step, Lua error, something else), say what happened, and tick "Include my character name" only if you want to. - The report carries what helps fix it: the addon version, where you are, the step on screen, your level, class and race, and any errors the Almanac itself hit. Never another addon's errors, and never your name unless you tick the box.
- When the Almanac hits an error, a small "Jebbie hit a snag. Report it?" appears once for that error, never in combat.
- Nothing is sent from the game: with the companion app running, reports go to jebbiesmods.com after your next /reload, once each. Without it, copy the report code the form shows and paste it at jebbiesmods.com/bug.
Improved
- The updater says when the game needs a restart (this build adds saved data, so restart once).
0.9.6 (2026-09-27)
New
- Every quest step says how hard it is, in the game's own quest colours: Trivial (gray), Easy, Right level, A bit hard, or Too hard for now.
- A quest that is too hard for now waits with a clock icon ("Too hard for now: come back at level N") and comes back into the route by itself when you reach that level. The subtitle counts them as "for later".
- Group quests are marked with a party icon ("Group quest (elite)", or how many players when the game data says).
- Playing solo on a group quest or against elites: a "Soloable?" read with the targets' levels and elites against yours, and class tips for the pull (a mage gets Frost Nova and kite, Polymorph the add; a priest gets Shield, Shadow Word: Pain and wand). Tips name a spell only once you know it.
- With the companion, Jebbie weighs in on the hardest fights ahead ("Jebbie: solo is risky, 62%"). Advice only.
Improved
- Gray quests on the route say "Gray, quick XP only if you're passing by", and gray quests out of your way are dropped from the route.
0.9.5 (2026-09-27)
New
- Steps follow the game now. Each step shows its status from what the client reports: a green check when done (the quest is completed, or in your log for an accept; trainer steps when the spells are known; travel and tip steps once you are past them), amber while a quest is in progress, a red X when skipped, nothing when not reached yet.
- The current step is the first one in route order that is neither done nor skipped. Picking up a quest never moves it, and the guide no longer jumps to the nearest quest in your log. Quests done out of order tick off at their own step.
- The header says "Step N of total" and the subtitle "X done, Y skipped"; the progress bar is steps done out of the total. Every line in the step box shows its step number.
<and>page through the route and show each step's status without changing anything. A Skip button skips the current step ("Got it" on a tip, which counts as read)./jebbie skipdoes the same;/jebbie nextand/jebbie backpage.- Quests in your log that the route does not have get their own Extra quests section (click its header to show or hide it), labelled "Extra". Where one fits cheaply, near an upcoming step, it says "Fits after step N". They never reorder the route.
- A Skipped list (click the subtitle, or Guides menu, Skipped steps) shows each skipped step and why, with Go back (it becomes the current step again) and Don't remind (it stays skipped and leaves the list).
- Your saved progress carries over: steps behind where you were count as done, or as skipped if they are quests the game says you have not finished, and every quest you completed shows done straight away. The tips are unchanged.
- The Skipped list has Don't remind me about any of these, with a one-line confirm, for a long list after your progress carries over.
Improved
- "What's new" in chat covers every version since the one you last saw, not just the newest.
- The updater and the companion compare versions number by number, so 0.9.10 counts as newer than 0.9.9.
0.9.4 (2026-09-27)
New
- Jebbie has a new look: the elf archaeologist, same hat, duster and bandana. Her portrait in the viewer, on the minimap button and in the gear tip is the new one. The addon's icon in the AddOns list is unchanged.
0.9.3 (2026-09-27)
New
- A Guides button in the viewer's header (beside the gear) opens the guide menu: Leveling (the route you are on first, then the other starter routes for your character), Professions (yours first with your skill, then the rest), Making gold, and Recorder while it is recording. The guide you are in is marked; one click switches.
- Your place in each guide is kept: switch routes and back and you are on the same step; a profession guide comes back where you left it.
- < Leveling on the subtitle line takes you straight back from a profession, gold or the recorder. Clicking the guide title still opens the menu, and
/jebbie guidesdoes too.
0.9.2 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- The Satchel lookup asks for every node (not the player's filtered view, so hiding gray nodes in the Satchel never hides one the guide wants) and counts the Ooze Covered veins and deposits as their plain kind.
0.9.1 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- With Jebbie's Satchel (the gathering addon) installed, a Mining or Herbalism step in the profession guide points the arrow and the Waypoint button at the nearest node of the kinds that step names, from the Satchel's read-only
JebbiesSatchelAPI. Without the Satchel nothing changes.
0.9.0 (2026-09-27)
New
- Start-zone recorder for races with no route yet (Forever's Skyborne, race 95). It turns on by itself for such a character and says so once;
/jebbie record on|offchanges it,/jebbie recordshows what it has. Out of combat only, it keeps: where the character starts, the zones and subzones entered, every NPC talked to and what they do (quests offered, vendor, trainer, flight master, innkeeper, bank), quest offers with their objective text and XP, accepts, turn-ins, where objectives progress, level-ups, and a light trail of positions. Nothing is sent anywhere. - The companion keeps a durable copy of each recording (
~/.jebbies-almanac/recordings/), andpython3 tools/draft_route.pyturns one into a draft starter route (accept, do, turn in, train, set hearth, flight path steps in the order they were played) with a review of what is missing, ready for a later build to ship.
0.8.0 (2026-09-27)
New
- Making gold: a new mode in the viewer (
/jebbie gold, or "Making gold" in the guide title's list). From your bags: what to sell to a vendor (gray and soulbound items, and anything the Auction House pays less for), what to auction (with the price you saw and when), and what to keep because your profession guide needs it next. Then what could sell: recipes your skill allows that are worth more than their materials, and what your gathering brings in at your skill. - Auction prices come only from what you have seen: when you browse or search the Auction House, the addon keeps the lowest price it was shown for each item (per realm and faction, the middle of the last few sightings). It never sends a search, posts, bids or buys. An item you have not seen has no price, and the advice says to look it up.
- Item tooltips show the auction price you saw, or which profession needs the item. At a vendor, one chat line says how many gray items you carry and what they are worth. Nothing is ever sold for you.
- With the companion, Jebbie gives her call (keep, vendor or auction, with a confidence) on the items the rules cannot settle: tradeable items with no price seen, or a price close to the vendor's.
0.7.0 (2026-09-27)
New
- Profession guides for all twelve professions: Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, First Aid, Cooking, Fishing, Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Engineering, Tailoring, Enchanting and Leatherworking, for each faction. Click the guide title and pick a profession (yours are listed first with your skill), or type
/jebbie prof tailoring;/jebbie levelgoes back to the leveling guide. - The guide reads your skill and shows the step for it: what to make and how many, with each material counted from your bags (green when you have enough) and where it comes from (vendor and price, a herb or ore node, fishing, skinning, disenchanting, a drop, or another profession). When you reach a rank's cap it shows the next rank first: trainer, book or quest, with its level and fee.
- The recipe path is the cheapest one through orange and yellow recipes (greens only to bridge a gap), built from the vMaNGOS trainer, recipe and vendor data. Recipes with cooldowns, reputation requirements or drop-only patterns are left out. Gathering steps list the zones with the most nodes for your side; fishing lists the zones where your casts land.
- The arrow, the Waypoint button and
/jebbie waypoint at the nearest trainer, vendor or gathering zone for the profession step. Map pins for the route are paused while a profession guide is shown.
0.6.8 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- The guide's background is back to the 0.6.5 look by default (the lighter, slightly see-through one at 85 percent). If 0.6.6 or 0.6.7 moved your setting to 92 percent without you choosing it, it goes back to 85. The Background opacity slider (30 to 100 percent) and the ... menu presets stay.
tools/update.pynow reports the version that was in the game before the update (read from the game's AddOns folder), not the version in the checkout, and says "already up to date" when the game already had the newest one.
0.6.7 (2026-09-27)
Fixed
- The header's step counter and buttons (<, counter, >, gear, ..., x) could vanish. They are now placed from the window's real width every time it changes, drawn above everything else in the window, and wrap to a second row if the window is ever too narrow; they are never hidden.
/jebbie layoutprints where each one is, for a live check.
0.6.6 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- The guide window's background is near solid by default (92 percent) so the objective tracker behind it no longer shows through; "Background opacity" in settings goes from 30 to 100 percent. Text and borders always stay fully opaque.
- The small amber dash under the subtitle was the route progress bar with little progress on it. It now runs the full width with a visible track, has a tooltip ("step 42 of 1623"), and the subtitle adds how far along the route you are.
0.6.5 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- A gear button in the guide window's header (between > and ...) opens Jebbie's Almanac settings, with a tooltip. The title now has its own line under the buttons, so nothing overlaps at any width. The world map cog from 0.6.4 is removed, and so is the menu's "All settings..." entry (the gear does that).
0.6.4 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- (A world map cog, removed in 0.6.5.)
- The move cursor on the guide window's top bar is about a quarter smaller; the bar itself is a little taller, so it is still easy to grab.
0.6.3 (2026-09-27)
New
- Priests: routes to 40 from Elwynn and Dun Morogh, priest trainer visits at each new spell level, the priest quests for your own race (for example Hallowed Rune and Desperate Prayer for a Dwarf), and priest tips (Power Word: Shield, Renew, Mind Blast, Psychic Scream). Nothing mage-specific shows for a priest.
- Trainer steps list only spells your trainer offers you: race-only spells for your race, no talent ranks; the step ticks off when most of them are in your spellbook.
0.6.2 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Boats from a small hand-made table: Menethil Harbor to Auberdine, Menethil Harbor to Theramore, and the Auberdine to Rut'theran Village ferry, each pointing at its pier ("Take the boat from Menethil Harbor to Auberdine"). Crossing times are estimates.
0.6.1 (2026-09-27)
Improved
- Thicker step reasons: quest level and XP, what to kill (with their levels, elites marked), rewards, and which quest a turn-in opens.
- With the companion and Jebadiah: a line of Jebbie's advice on steps: where to start at a quest hub (next quest), whether a doubtful quest is worth doing, and, when you are in a party, whether a group quest is worth it (quests she calls not worth it are left out). Advice only: nothing happens without your click.
0.6.0 (2026-09-27)
New
- Routes run to level 40 (Elwynn and Dun Morogh mage routes), over both continents.
- Travel is in the route: "Get the flight path" as you pass flight masters, "Fly to" when it saves time, the Deeprun Tram between Stormwind and Ironforge, the ships from Menethil Harbor to Auberdine and Theramore, the Rut'theran ferry, "Make this inn your home" at a new hub, and "Hearth to" when home is on the way.
- Trainer visits at each new spell level when a trainer is a few minutes away (or two levels behind), with Teleport: Stormwind and Ironforge at 20 and Darnassus at 30.
0.5.3 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- Default sounds are Jason's picks: the little fanfare, Jebbie's voice (twelve lines) and the gear tick, mixed at random, never the same line twice in a row. The other eight jingles are still there, muted, in the Sound pool.
Fixed
- The first objective progress of a newly accepted quest is now recorded; the login chat line is shorter.
0.5.2 (2026-09-26)
New
- All new sounds: nine jingles and four ticks, and Jebbie's own voice (a soft, warm British voice designed for her) for twelve lines. The random mix, modes and Sound pool work as before.
0.5.1 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- A random mix of quest finishes: seven jingles and ten short Jebbie lines ("Easy peasy!", "Another one for the almanac!", "Job's done!" and more, all in her own voice), never the same one twice in a row. Modes: random, jingle only, voice only, jingle then voice. Drop any sound from the mix in the Sound pool.
0.5.0 (2026-09-26)
New
- Sounds: a short jingle when a quest's objectives are all done (three to pick from, or the game's own quest sound), a quiet tick for progress, and optionally Jebbie's little robot voice saying "Done!". Settings: on/off, voice, channel, test.
0.4.5 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- Gear suggestions look at every bag change (trades, mail, login), count enchants on both the new and the worn item, and say when an upgrade would lose an enchant.
0.4.4 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- The on-screen arrow comes back after a fight, a loading screen or a moment without facing (it used to stay hidden until /reload);
/jebbie arrowsays why it is hidden; a step with no place shows "no location yet".
0.4.3 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- The game waypoint is set again: it tries the zone map, then its parent, then the continent; the Waypoint button moved clear of the resize grip;
/jebbie waysets it and says which map it used.
0.4.2 (2026-09-26)
New
- Text size (9 to 18) and font (the game's own four) for all viewer text; rows reflow so nothing clips.
- Viewer width: a setting, or drag the bottom-right corner (300 to 700).
- A handlebar across the top is the only place that moves the viewer; Lock dims it and stops dragging and resizing.
- In the Settings panel and the ... menu, with Reset size and position.
0.4.1 (2026-09-26)
Improved
- Coordinates are zone coordinates (Elwynn Forest 42.1, 65.8), not the continent.
- The viewer title is short (Elwynn · Mage 1-20) with the full name on hover; the controls never cover it.
- Quests the guide does not know yet (new in Forever) show as "Your quest (not in our guide yet)" with their live objectives; their accept, objective progress and turn-in are recorded.
- Shorter chat lines.
0.4.0 (2026-09-26)
New
- Minimap button: left-click shows or hides the viewer, right-click opens the menu, drag it around the minimap edge.
- An x on the viewer, /jebbie show, hide and toggle, and a key binding.
- The viewer remembers where you put it and whether it was open.
- A short "What's new" note in chat after each update.
0.3.0 (2026-09-26)
New
- Settings in the game's Options, and a quick menu on the viewer.
- Find nearest: trainers, vendor, repair, innkeeper, mailbox, flight master, bank.
- Gear suggestions with Equip and Decline (only your click equips).
- A quest item button.
0.2.0 (2026-09-26)
New
- Zone-change prompt, a richer step viewer, an on-screen arrow.
0.1.1 (2026-09-26)
Fixed
- Fixed a map pin error on login. The addon follows your quest log and picks the route from where you stand.
