I created this addon to help me decide which items to bank/vendor/trade.
Item tooltips are modified to display icons of the professions that can use the item as a crafting ingredient. The trade items from vendors aren't affected (spices, vials, threads..)
Additonal features
Display a quest icon within the tooltip to indicate if the item is required for a quest (only the tradable items such as beast parts, frost oil, hillman's cloak). Classic has numerous quests that require trade items to complete (these quest items might have some demand/value on the AH)
Configuration dialog which allows the user to control which icons are displayed and modify the icon size (see images)
Track items that can be exchanged for Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets (these items may have some demand/value once the faire becomes available)
Retail port
The port provides coverage of each expansion's profession items (8.2.5)
Please tell me this will be updated for Shadowlands, this is by far one of the most useful add-ons ever!
In reply to ByucknahTheRed:
I have some time to work on updating the retail version, so expect an update soon
In reply to bytespire:
Dude, that is spectacular news! Thank you very much for putting in the work to do so, I greatly appreciate it!
By the way, I just realized that the following items do not have a tooltip graphic:
Tin Ore
Tin Bar
Coal
I think there were some other items in the blacksmithing and engineering skills that don't have graphic icons.
In reply to Velinestra:
Those 3 items are not tracked because they are only used when smelting, I haven't included the smelting recipes. Let me know if you remember which blacksmithing/engineering items were missing.
In reply to bytespire:
Well, I know that Coal is also used in Thorium Brotherhood repeatable quests. Master Smith Burninate is the guy who asks for Coal (among other things).
I'll have to get back to you on the shared engineering/blacksmithing items (if I come across them again) because it may have just been the smelting stuff.
In reply to Velinestra:
You are correct! I have missed the Throium Brotherhood quests. I was planning on releasing an update with the new ZG items soon, so I'll include the missing Throium Brotherhood items with that.
I LOVE THIS ADDON!!! Just wanted to let you know! :D
Hey there!
Someone told me they used this add-on for Classic WoW and I was looking for it for retail. I see there was a WoW release v1.0.0-retail on 11/12/2019. Is that for BFA 8.2.5 release? I tried installing it via the "Install" link on the page and I don't see it in game. I completely closed the Blizzard app and relaunched. Help?
**Edit: I did eventually figure out what to do -- copy the folder over to the WoW directory manually. Can we include instructions for those who, like me, use Twitch to install usually but doesn't work with Curseforge-only mods?
In reply to lws96:
I am not familiar with installing addons via Twitch and assumed it was working fine since the analytics has majority downloads from "Twitch App". I guess it downloaded the Classic version by default, if you have the Classic client installed can you check if the addon was added to it?
Hey there,
awesome lightweight addon! I use it since the release of classic!
Would it be possible to add a little darkmoon ticket icon for Darkmoon Faire Items?
This list contains all DMF items: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19182/darkmoon-faire-prize-ticket
It would help people to keep stuff, which are potentially valuable and I would really appreciate it!
Best

In reply to Smupai:
Good suggestion! I'll add this feature.
In reply to bytespire:
thank you for the fast deployment! <3
I have this addon and have used it for a while, and I've come to this conclusion: this would be 1000x more useful if it showed you specifically what pattern it was used in, not just "leatherworking".
I'm not trying to troll here, I just don't fully understand what it's trying to do?
In reply to Grizz2202:
I originally created it to help me decide which items I might want to keep/vendor within Classic as I wasn't familiar with which items could be used by my professions. If you are talking about the retail port then I kinda agree as the professions have been simplified compared to Classic.
In reply to bytespire:
Oh I think I misunderstood what it did then, I'll look at it again with that in mind. Sorry for the confusion.
Aww, came here looking for the retail version of this. Looking forward to seeing it finished though
If you have activated ItemTooltipProfessionIcons and KiwiItemInfo, the icons of ItemTooltipProfessionIcons are no longer displayed.
This bug was posted on both addons.
Hi, I'm the dev of KiwiItemInfo. As the maintainer of it, it is my responsibility for compat.
Moss Agate - Your add-on says these aren't used in leatherworking recipes. So I put the ones I had on the Auction House. Then I got the recipe for Barbaric Leggings sold in Thousand Needles, and Arathi Highlands...
