ItemCount v1.3
What's new
Change Log: ItemCount v1.3 Classic Anniversary - TBC Pre-Patch
Summary
- This update focuses on cross-character visibility, interface modernization for the TBC Pre-patch (2026/Anniversary builds), and significant performance optimizations. We have expanded the tooltip functionality to support profession-specific windows and added granular filtering for multi-realm players.
Bug Fixes: - Profession: Enchanting now shows amount of shards/dust that you have in bag/bank across characters.
- Profession: Enchanting caused flickering of the tooltip
- Improved save variables where addon didn't save settings.
Core Feature Enhancements
- Grid-Based Tooltip Display: Implemented a structured column system using
AddDoubleLineto ensure character names and item counts align perfectly for rapid scanning. - Total Wealth Tracking: Added a "Total Account Gold" footer to the GameTooltip, providing a real-time summary of currency across all tracked alts.
- Intelligent Filtering: Introduced two new configuration toggles in the options menu:
- Realm Filtering: Toggle to show item counts only for characters on the current realm.
- Faction Filtering: Toggle to hide counts from opposing faction alts (Horde/Alliance).
- Class Coloring: Character names in tooltips and lists now utilize standard Blizzard Class Colors for improved visual recognition.
Interface & UX Improvements
- Redesigned Options Menu: A new 500x500 draggable GUI (
/ic) featuring a scrollable character management list. - Data Management: Added a visable change to how the purge characters work in /ic (options).
- Minimap Integration: A fully functional, draggable minimap button for quick access to settings.
- Esc-Key Support: The options window now correctly registers with
UISpecialFrames, allowing it to be closed with the Escape key.
Technical & Engine Updates
- 2026 Engine Compatibility: Updated for the TBC Pre-patch (Build #20505), utilizing the modern API.
- Profession Bridge (Enchanting Fix): Resolved a long-standing issue where Enchanting/Crafting reagents failed to show counts. The addon now hooks directly into the API to append data to profession tooltips dynamically.
- Optimized Scanner: Inventory and Bank scanning logic has been streamlined to prevent "flicker" and minimize CPU spikes during heavy bag movement.
- Persistence Fix: Improved Saved Variables initialization to ensure user settings (minimap position, filters) are preserved across client restarts.
How to Use
/ic: Opens the Options and Character Management window.- Hover Any Item: View a breakdown of how many items are held in the Bags or Bank across all your alts.
