itemProtector
itemProtector helps protect important World of Warcraft items from accidental vendor loss. It lets you lock individual items, protect Blizzard equipment sets, safely auto-sell grey junk, and automatically buy back protected items if they are accidentally sold.
Designed for players who carry multiple gear sets, rare items, cosmetics, profession tools, or important bag items, itemProtector gives you a simple visual lock indicator and quick access through a minimap button and in-game options panel.

Features
Manual Item Locks
Protect individual items directly from your bags.
You can protect items by:
- Alt-right-clicking an item in your bags
- Dragging an item onto the itemProtector options panel
- Hovering an item and using `/ip togglehover`
Protected items display a visible **lock icon** in your bags so they are easy to identify.
---
Equipment Set Protection
itemProtector integrates with Blizzard’s Equipment Manager.
You can protect entire equipment sets so gear assigned to those sets is treated as protected. This is useful for off-spec sets, raid sets, PvP sets, transmog sets, or any gear you do not want accidentally sold.
The options panel shows your Blizzard equipment sets and lets you protect or unprotect them directly.
---
Auto-Sell Safety
itemProtector can automatically sell unprotected grey junk items when you open a vendor.
Protected items are skipped.
This means you can still enjoy quick junk selling while keeping important protected items safe.
Auto-Buyback Protection
If a protected item is manually sold to a vendor and appears in the vendor buyback list, itemProtector can automatically buy it back.
This adds another layer of safety against accidental vendor mistakes.
Bag Lock Icons
Protected items show a clear lock icon in your bag inventory.
The lock icon is designed to be visible without relying on color alone, making it easier to recognize protected items at a glance.
