Your conversations, together.

iTavern brings private messages, guild chat, and community conversations into a dedicated messenger inside World of Warcraft.

Keep personal conversations in familiar message bubbles, follow busy group discussions in a compact chat log, or detach a conversation into a small window beside your gameplay.

Features

• Private conversations: Character whispers and Battle.net messages organized by conversation.
• Guild and community tabs: Dedicated channels with timestamps, readable chat logs, and recent community history.
• Saved history: Keep a limited amount of conversation history locally between sessions.
• Friends and recipient suggestions: Find people and start conversations without remembering every character name.
• Class identities: Class icons, character information, and BattleTags where available.
• Detached chat: Move and resize a separate conversation window, with opacity and text-size settings saved for that chat.
• Personal appearance: Choose neutral, faction, and class backgrounds, accent colors, fonts, and icon styles.
• Chat tools: Search history, copy messages, manage conversations, and interact with supported WoW links.

Getting started

Type /itavern or /it, or use the minimap icon.

Choose Private, Guild, or Communities to get started. To open a separate chat window, select a conversation and choose Detach chat from its … menu.

The main messenger and settings stay opaque and readable. Transparency controls apply only to detached chats.

Early development

iTavern is actively being developed for WoW Retail. Feedback and bug reports are welcome.

Chat availability follows Blizzard’s permissions and restrictions. Some features pause during combat or chat lockdown. Saved history contains messages available to the addon; it is not a complete archive of messages sent while you were offline.
