Italian TBC – Italian translation

Play World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Anniversary in Italian. One addon for both Horde and Alliance: at login it automatically loads the texts for your character's faction.

What it translates

• Quests for Horde and Alliance: titles, descriptions, objectives, progress and completion texts
• NPC dialogue and gossip options
• NPC lines in chat and speech bubbles: say, yell, whisper and emotes, including boss yells and emotes
• NPC and item names, also on nameplates and in item links in chat
• Books, letters and readable pages
• Tooltips: spell, item, recipe and buff descriptions, including reagents
• Interface: main windows, error messages, system messages in chat (loot, money, loot rolls, reputation) and the Local Defense channel
• Racial abilities and the skills in the Skills window

Intentionally kept in English

• Place, spell and talent names and specializations, so guides and group chat stay easy to follow
• Faction names, as in the Reputation panel
• Need and Greed in loot rolls
• Characters' proper names

Installation

Copy the three folders ItalianTBC, ItalianTBC_Orda and ItalianTBC_Alleanza into:

World of Warcraft\_anniversary_\Interface\AddOns\

With the CurseForge app, installation is automatic. If you had the old separate Alliance version, it is replaced.

Usage

• Minimap button: left-click to turn the translation on or off, right-click to reload the interface.
• Report a mistake: Shift+click the minimap button, or Shift+click a dialogue, quest or book. A window opens with the text ready: copy it (Ctrl+C) and paste it in the comments on this page.
• Commands: /ita (list of commands), /ita segnala (report).

Limitations

• Inside dungeons and raids Blizzard blocks changes to speech bubbles: the same line appears translated in chat.
• Names above heads without a health bar are drawn by the game engine: they are translated only on nameplates (V key).
• The right-click menu on characters is not translated, because it contains protected actions.

Safety and privacy

The addon only changes the displayed text, using the standard functions available to addons. It does not automate any action, does not touch protected frames and does not modify game files. It sends no data anywhere: reports stay on your computer until you choose to copy them.

Installazione

Copia le tre cartelle ItalianTBC, ItalianTBC_Orda e ItalianTBC_Alleanza in:

World of Warcraft\_anniversary_\Interface\AddOns\

Con l'app CurseForge l'installazione è automatica. Se avevi la vecchia versione separata per l'Alleanza, viene sostituita.

Uso

• Pulsante sulla minimappa: clic per attivare o disattivare la traduzione, clic destro per ricaricare l'interfaccia.
• Segnalare un errore: Maiusc+clic sul pulsante della minimappa, oppure Maiusc+clic su un dialogo, una missione o un libro. Si apre una finestra con il testo già pronto: copialo (Ctrl+C) e incollalo nei commenti di questa pagina.
• Comandi: /ita (elenco dei comandi), /ita segnala.

Ogni segnalazione aiuta a migliorare la traduzione!

Limiti

• Dentro istanze e incursioni Blizzard blocca la modifica dei fumetti di testo: la stessa frase compare tradotta in chat.
• I nomi sopra la testa senza barra della vita li disegna il motore di gioco: si traducono solo sulle nameplate (tasto V).
• Il menu del clic destro sui personaggi non viene tradotto, perché contiene azioni protette.

Sicurezza e privacy

L'addon cambia solo il testo mostrato, con le normali funzioni concesse agli addon. Non automatizza nessuna azione, non tocca i frame protetti e non modifica i file del gioco. Non invia dati a nessuno: le segnalazioni restano sul tuo computer finché non decidi tu di copiarle.
