Ironguard RP

Ironguard RP is an easy to use roleplaying addon for World of Warcraft created for the Ironguard RP guild, that provides a simple, structured system for running RP combat encounters while keeping the focus where it belongs: roleplay and collaborative storytelling.

Create your character, choose your equipment and attributes, join a scene, select your targets, and let Ironguard RP handle the dice, combat math, statistics, resources, and turn tracking. For larger encounters, a Scene Lead can organize the group, manage combat rounds, and create and control NPCs directly through the addon.

Ironguard RP is designed to provide enough structure to make RP combat consistent, engaging, and easy to follow without turning your roleplay into a complicated tabletop ruleset.

Main Features

• Character System — Create your character, choose a race and class, assign Attributes, and equip armor and weapons. HP, Armor Points, Mana, and other statistics are calculated automatically.
• Action Panel — Quickly roll d20s, Attribute checks, attacks, magic, healing, defenses, Initiative, Perception, and situational modifiers from a compact combat interface.
• Attack & Defense — Target other characters and resolve attacks automatically with the Attack and Damage rolls, or the option to manually roll damage seperately.
• Conditions & Effects — Apply and track combat conditions with active effects displayed directly above the Action Panel.
• Scene Management — Organize players and NPCs into encounters, establish Initiative and turn order, and track turns and combat rounds.
• Targeting — Select individual or multiple targets for attacks and other actions during an encounter.
• NPC Creation & Control — Scene Leads can create custom NPCs and control their attacks, defenses, Attributes, resources, targeting, conditions, and Initiative through a dedicated NPC Control Panel.

Roleplay First

Ironguard RP isn't intended to dictate how your character should behave or how your stories should unfold. It provides a common framework for resolving uncertain actions and combat while leaving your character, decisions, actions, and the story itself in your hands.

It's your story to tell, Ironguard RP is just a tool to help tell it.

Ironguard RP was designed primarily around the specific roleplaying needs and preferences of our guild and is intended first and foremost for use within our guild community. Anyone who may find the system useful is free to use it, but its mechanics, features, and development priorities reflect the style of RP combat our guild was looking for.

The addon was developed with the assistance of AI tools, which were used throughout the development process to assist with programming, troubleshooting, iteration, and other aspects of bringing the project to life.
