Description

Io’s Invite Blocker

Stop unwanted group invites before they interrupt your game.

Io’s Invite Blocker (IIB) automatically declines unsolicited party and raid invites while giving you full control over who is still allowed to invite you.

Whether you are in combat, queued for PvP, farming, streaming or simply want fewer distractions, IIB handles unwanted invites quietly and reliably through a modern, lightweight interface.

Smart Invite Protection

With IIB enabled, incoming group invites are blocked unless the sender is explicitly allowed by one of your settings.

Allowed invitations can include:

  • Players on your whitelist
  • Character friends and Battle.net friends
  • Battle.net friends only
  • Guild members
  • The most recent inviter through Temporary Allow
  • Group leaders you applied to yourself through the Group Finder

Invitations resulting from your own signup or join request remain allowed, so normal Group Finder activity can continue without disabling the addon.

Related invite confirmation windows and unwanted role-check prompts are also handled while you are playing solo.

Main Features

  • Automatically blocks unwanted party and raid invites
  • Modern whitelist management using Name-Realm
  • Searchable Blocked Invites history
  • Directly whitelist a player from the blocked history
  • Optional friend, Battle.net friend and guild exceptions
  • Temporary Allow for the most recent inviter
  • Configurable Auto-Ignore protection against repeated invite spam
  • Live session statistics for allowed, blocked and auto-ignored invitations
  • Detailed history information including invite type, count and last occurrence
  • Quick actions to whitelist, ignore, remove or copy player names
  • Optional compact chat messages
  • Optional suppression of addon and relevant Blizzard invite notifications
  • Optional muting of invite sounds while a blocked invitation is declined
  • Movable minimap button
  • Optional keybindings for opening the interface and toggling protection

Temporary Allow

Need to let someone retry without permanently adding them to your whitelist?

Temporary Allow lets the most recent inviter bypass the blocker for 10 minutes. The exception expires automatically and can also be cleared manually at any time.

Auto-Ignore Protection

Repeated invite spam can optionally trigger World of Warcraft’s Ignore system.

You decide:

  • How many blocked invites are required
  • How quickly those invites must occur
  • Whether Auto-Ignore is enabled at all

Auto-Ignore is disabled by default and remains fully under your control.

Clean and Lightweight

IIB uses a fully custom interface designed to stay compact, responsive and unobtrusive.

  • No external libraries
  • No unnecessary background processing while disabled
  • English interface
  • Invite filtering designed to work independently of the game client’s language
  • Built specifically for World of Warcraft Retail

When the addon is disabled, group invites and related checks behave normally again.

Commands

  • /iib – Display the current addon status
  • /iib ui – Open the configuration window
  • /iib on – Enable invite protection
  • /iib off – Disable invite protection
  • /iib status – Display the current status

The configuration window can also be opened through the minimap button or an assigned keybinding.

Take back control of your group invitations and enjoy World of Warcraft with fewer interruptions.

Built for Streamers

IIB is especially useful for streamers and content creators who may receive unwanted or disruptive invitations while live.

Unlike typical invite blockers that only decline the invitation, IIB also hides the related invite, confirmation and role-check frames. This prevents unwanted player names, popups and repeated prompts from appearing on stream or covering important parts of the interface.

Combined with optional chat-message suppression and muted invite sounds, IIB provides discreet protection without interrupting gameplay or revealing unnecessary information to viewers.

Whether you are in combat, queued for PvP, farming, streaming or simply want fewer distractions, IIB quietly declines unwanted invitations and hides their related interface frames before they can interrupt your gameplay or appear on stream.
