Ignis — Survive in Azeroth

Ignis turns your adventure into a true roleplay survival experience. Your character gets hungry, thirsty, tired and cold, gets hurt and falls ill. Ignis always tells you why, and what to do about it. Built for WoW Forever roleplay realms, it adds content and challenge instead of simplifying the game.

Survival

• Four gauges: hunger, thirst, rest and warmth, in a small movable window or a full panel. Hover a gauge to see how fast it drops, when it will run low, and how to refill it.
• Zone climates: frozen, arid, volcanic, tropical, marshy, cursed… Night, the real-world season, swimming and being indoors all matter.
• Live weather: read automatically from the Forever client. Rain soaks you and cools you down, snow freezes you, sandstorms and firestorms leave you parched. Outdoors only.
• Your outfit matters: coverage, armor type, frost and fire resistance, soaked clothes.
• Food and drink are detected automatically: cooked meals fill you up more, conjured food less, and alcohol warms you but makes you thirsty.

Wounds and illnesses

• Wounds from falls and fights: a long fall can break a bone, and a hard fight (long, against elites, or against several enemies) can leave a gash, a bruise or a bite. Slow Fall, Levitate and parachutes keep you safe.
• Illnesses from your surroundings: a cold when you're chilled, flu when you're freezing, hay fever in spring, sunstroke in summer, marsh fever in swamps. Creatures can also poison you or pass on a disease.
• Everyday ailments, light and never grim: stomach bug, hiccups, blisters after a long walk, sore muscles, a stiff neck after sleeping on rocks.
• Three severities: very light ailments heal on their own, normal ones need a bandage or a potion, serious ones need a healer. Left untreated, they get worse.
• Real healers: any healing spell cast on you out of combat counts, from players, bots or NPCs, with or without Ignis. Healers who use Ignis are told when someone nearby needs them.
• Contagion between players: colds, flu and stomach bugs spread, with incubation and at least two weeks of immunity.
• Dying clears everything: you come back with a simple Convalescence.

An addon that guides you

• Guidance cards: each new wound or illness comes with a card that explains what happened and why, its effects on your gauges and exactly what to do. Each card opens with a roleplay line.
• Countdowns in the wounds window: when it heals, when it worsens, when it becomes dangerous, and how far along your treatment is.
• Warnings before an affliction gets worse, and about ten minutes before a gauge runs low.
• A welcome window on first launch to choose your difficulty and what you want to experience.

Roleplay

• Campfire vigils: rest around a fire with other players to recover faster and gain Comfort.
• RP death: neglect your needs and your journey ends. A death screen, then "Resurrect" to start again.
• RP phrases offered in one click (/say or emote) when your character is hungry, cold or hurt.
• Sounds with your race's voice: pain, sighs, yawns, laughter. Nearby Ignis players hear them too.
• Shared state: players using Ignis see your state in your tooltip, in their own language. Works with the Total RP 3 tooltip.
• Racial traits: dwarves resist the cold, the undead don't feel it, trolls heal fast…

Settings

• Three difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard. Every system can be turned on or off.
• 10 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Each player sees Ignis in their own language.

The campfire button on the minimap: left-click to show or hide, right-click for settings, drag to move it.

Good to know

• Made for the WoW Forever client. Live weather only works there.
• Other players' state, vigils and contagion only work with players who use Ignis.
• Heals received during combat don't treat afflictions: get patched up once the fight is over.
