The lightweight, spec-aware successor to classic castbars.

Overview

iConicCastbar was designed to fill the void left by the 12.0 API changes. It is a high-performance, minimalist replacement for heavy castbar and resource addons. Instead of complex setup menus, iConicCastbar uses "Smart Layouts" that automatically adapt based on your current class and specialization.

Key Features

• Adaptive Layouts: * Casters (Mage, Priest, etc.): Prioritizes the Cast Bar (Top/Big) with Resources underneath.

  • Melee/Energy (Rogue, Warrior, etc.): Prioritizes Resource management (Top/Big) with Casts underneath.

• Spec-Specific Tracking:

  • Evokers: Native support for Empower Stages and ticks.

  • Shadow Priests: Deep Void-Purple Insanity bar.

  • Shamans: Ocean-Blue Maelstrom bar with centralized number tracking.

  • Death Knights: Integrated Rune tracking with spec-correct coloring.

• Universal Resources: Centralized numerical resource tracking for every class and spec.

• Vibrant Colors: Hand-tuned color profiles (e.g., Blood Red for Rage) for better visibility in high-intensity combat.

• Pixel-Perfect Design: Clean 1px borders and low-profile aesthetics.

Commands

• /ic — Toggles the lock/unlock state. When unlocked, you can drag the bar anywhere on your screen.

Manual Customization

If you want to change the size or font, open iConicCastbar.lua and look for the CFG table at the very top. You can easily adjust the following:

• Width & Height

• ShowIcon (True/False)

• FontSize

• ShowResourceNumbers (True/False)

Installation

1. Extract the iConicCastbar folder to your World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/ directory.

2. Ensure "Load out of date AddOns" is checked in your in-game AddOn list (if applicable).
