IconFinder adds practical search and filtering to Blizzard icon pickers, so finding the right icon is fast instead of tedious.
Features:
- Adds a search field to supported Blizzard icon selector popups.
- Matches icon names, categories, IDs, and texture/file information.
- Builds a smart icon/source index from spells, items, mounts, pets, bank, vendors, and optional auction house scans.
- Auction House scanning now processes large browse result sets more smoothly and incrementally.
- Locale-aware library system:
- Loads only the active client language library.
- Bundled libraries currently include English (
enUS) and German (deDE). - Supports language-specific icon name mappings.
- Optional debug output for captured data sources.
Commands:
/iconfinderor/if- show commands/iconfinder stats- show icon stats and current switch states/iconfinder tooltip- toggle tooltip debug info on icon buttons/iconfinder debug- toggle capture debug logging/iconfinder auctionscan- toggle auction house scanning (runtime-only, default off)
Notes:
- Auction House scanning is optional, session-only, and always resets to off after
/reloador restarting WoW. - Not every icon has a text mapping yet; coverage grows as more data is collected.
- Data collection improves over time while you play and use game UIs.
- You can send me your
SavedVariables/IconFinder.lua, and I will merge your collected data into the addon library.
