Housing Craft Planner

Housing Craft Planner (HCP) is a World of Warcraft Retail addon designed to make crafting Housing decor simple.

Pick the decorations you want, choose how many you need, and HCP automatically turns your project into a complete material shopping list.

No more opening dozens of recipes, writing materials down manually, or switching characters just to figure out what a decoration requires.

Whether a decoration comes from Engineering, Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Alchemy, or another profession, you can add it to the same project and let HCP handle the planning.

Build your Housing project first

Housing Craft Planner is built around projects, not individual recipes.

Create a project such as:

• Main House
• Tavern
• Workshop
• Garden
• Guild Hall
• Bedroom
• Kitchen

Then add all the decorations you want.

6 Banners
3 Tables

HCP combines every recipe into one shopping list and merges identical materials automatically.

Browse Housing decor across professions

You do not need to be logged into the profession that creates an item.

An Engineer can browse and select Blacksmithing decor.

A Tailor can plan Engineering furniture.

A character with no relevant profession can still build an entire multi-profession Housing project.

Your current profession never limits what you can plan.

The catalog can be filtered by:

• Expansion
• Profession
• Search

The intended workflow is simple:

Choose an expansion → choose a profession → browse the available decorations.

Automatic shopping list

Once decorations are added to your project, Housing Craft Planner calculates the required materials automatically.

Instead of seeing materials recipe by recipe, you get one combined list:

Missing: 80

HCP can take your current inventory and supported bank storage into account so the list focuses on what you actually still need.

Recursive sub-crafting

Some decorations require components that are themselves crafted.

HCP can break those components down recursively.

Instead of:

you can ask HCP to continue calculating:

20 Reinforced Frames
→ 60 Metal Bars
→ 40 Timber
→ 10 Binding Agents

This can be enabled or disabled using the Decompose sub-crafts option.

Organize materials by acquisition method

A shopping list is more useful when it tells you what to actually do.

Materials can be organized into categories such as:

Gather / Farm

Materials you should obtain in the world.

Craft

Intermediate components that can be crafted.

Auction House

Materials you would rather purchase.

Vendor

Vendor-sold reagents.

Review

Materials whose acquisition method still needs to be determined.

Each material also has a visible Acquisition Method selector.

You can leave HCP on automatic mode or override the recommendation yourself.

See your progress

Housing Craft Planner gives you a quick overview of how close your project is to completion.

You can see:

• Number of decorations
• Number of materials
• Missing materials
• Owned materials
• Overall project progress

This makes HCP useful not only while planning, but also while actively farming materials.

Open the addon again after a farming session and your project progress updates with your current inventory.

Designed as a single-window workflow

HCP uses one main interface divided into three areas:

1. Catalog

Find and add Housing decorations.

2. Project

Manage the decorations and quantities you want to craft.

3. Shopping List

See everything you still need.

The goal is to keep the entire workflow visible without opening multiple addon windows.

Localized game data

Housing Craft Planner uses localized information provided by the World of Warcraft client wherever possible.

This includes things such as:

• Item names
• Decor names
• Profession data
• Game-provided Housing information

The addon interface currently has full English and French localization support, with fallback behavior for other supported game clients while additional translations are developed.
