Main Changes
Reorganized Options Interface
The HotLoot options window has been reorganized to make the addon easier to understand and configure.
The interface now separates core areas more clearly, including:
- Overview
- Activity and Notices
- Tools and Reports
- Debugging Tools
- Histories and Export
- Loot settings
- Merchant settings
- Integrations
Improved Overview
The Overview page now uses clearer status cards to summarize the main HotLoot systems at a glance.
These cards include helpful tooltips explaining what each status means.
New Activity and Notices Section
A new Activity and Notices section has been added to group operational notices and activity-history storage settings.
This section controls how HotLoot reports its own decisions, especially when items are left for manual looting due to filters, value rules, or safety checks.
Activity History Storage
The activity-history storage panel has been redesigned with clearer cards showing:
- Storage status;
- Stored record count;
- Oldest stored record;
- Next cleanup information.
Destructive shortcuts were intentionally avoided in this panel. Manual history cleanup remains available from the dedicated history window.
Improved Loot Decision History
The Loot Decision History window received usability improvements and additional card tooltips.
The history view now provides clearer information about:
- Loot sessions;
- Looted items;
- Items left behind;
- Sold items;
- Issues detected;
- Filtered results;
- Manual-loot activity;
- Unknown or unavailable values.
Tools, Reports, and Support Export
The Tools and Reports area has been simplified and now focuses on histories, audit tools, and support exports.
HotLoot can generate a support report containing useful diagnostic information such as addon state, client version, configuration snapshot, integrations, activity history, merchant audit data, and recent technical events.
Merchant Audit Improvements
Merchant audit history continues to track sale previews, item selection, cancellations, confirmations, observed buybacks, and safety locks.
HotLoot keeps a safe-sale policy: if item, quantity, slot, or value information cannot be confirmed safely, the addon should not sell the item automatically.
TradeSkillMaster Integration
TradeSkillMaster values remain available as optional visual information when TSM data is present.
TSM values are not used for destructive loot or merchant-sale decisions.
Safety Behavior
HotLoot keeps a fail-safe approach for automatic looting and merchant selling.
- If an item cannot be evaluated safely, HotLoot should not loot it automatically.
- If an item, quantity, slot, or value cannot be confirmed safely, HotLoot should not sell it automatically.
- Protected, inaccessible, or unknown values are represented safely in diagnostics and histories.
Localization
enUS remains the base language and fallback.
ptBR is available in this beta.
Additional localizations may be expanded in future versions.
Known Notes
- This is a beta release and should be treated as a public test version.
- The main validation target is World of Warcraft Retail 11.2.5.
- Compatibility with other Retail versions may vary and still requires additional validation.
- TradeSkillMaster value availability depends on the selected TSM price source and available market data.
- Skinning-related behavior depends on the current character having the profession learned.
Installation
Install through CurseForge or extract the HotLoot folder into:
Interface/AddOns/
Then restart the game or run:

Use /hl to open the HotLoot options window.
