Keep track of each potion's effect from run to run.
Locate the bad potion at the start of a run, and click it in the frame to mark it as bad, and show what the effects of all other potions will be in that run.
If you don't know where to find the bad potion, Wowhead has an article that shows where to find them for each of the two scenarios.
