Hopper

Coordinate guildmates, track threats, detect zergs, and keep up with kills in WoW Forever

Hopper — Guild Coordination & Threat Awareness

Hopper is a guild-only addon for WoW Forever, designed to help your guild find one another, coordinate layer hops, and respond to activity in the world. Its features—from guildmate and layer coordination to threat sightings, zerg detection, and threat and kill tracking—are built around one guild working together. Hopper is not a public layer network or a cross-guild tool; it helps your guild stay connected and act as a group.

Find Your Guildmates

See where guildmates are and make it easier to get everyone together on the same layer.

Threat Sightings & Reporting

Track hostile players and share threat sightings with guildmates, helping your group stay informed about activity nearby.

Zerg Detection

Spot larger hostile groups by combining sightings, with details such as group size and class composition.

Threat Tracker

Review tracked threats and their available details, including name, class, level, guild, and last-seen information.

Kill Tracker

Keep track of recent deaths, your kills, and kill streaks.

A Note on Layer Detection & Hopping

WoW Forever no longer exposes layer identity directly, so Hopper infers layers from observations of creatures and vehicles in the world. This detection is an estimate, not an official Blizzard layer identifier.

Hopper is built on the assumption that Blizzard actively tries to keep guild members together on the same layer. Observations at the end of beta support that assumption, and we expect guild affinity to improve as Blizzard refines its layering technology and player-allocation algorithms.

Hopper does not try to move guild members to a specific destination layer or manipulate layer assignment. Its purpose is simple: help guild members stay together and help them regroup if they are separated. We believe this is in the spirit of what Blizzard wants out of their layering technology and not a disruption or abuse of it.

Built for guild coordination, PvP, events, and spontaneous grouping.

Use /hop or /hopper with no arguments to view the available commands.
