HoofIt 0.12.0 Beta — Mount Hunting Gets Smarter!

This update brings major improvements to mount collection tracking, acquisition information, and hunting progress. HoofIt now provides more detailed guidance on how to obtain missing mounts, what requirements you need to complete, and what to work toward next.

New Features

Expanded Mount Acquisition Database

• Expanded the acquisition catalog to 1,078 mounts.
• Added 66 new mount acquisition records.
• Improved acquisition source information for 240 existing mounts.
• Enhanced Blizzard game-data integration for more accurate mount, item, quest, achievement, and encounter relationships.

Improved Collection Browser

• Added All Mounts mode to browse collected and missing mounts together.
• Added All Factions filtering.
• Improved mount details with clearer acquisition sources and requirements.
• Added clickable mount-learning item links with in-game tooltips.

Advanced Requirement Tracking

HoofIt can now display your progress toward supported mount requirements, including:

• Renown levels.
• Faction reputation and standing.
• Required currencies and gold.
• Required inventory items.
• Quest completion.
• Achievement completion.
• Character and faction restrictions.

Mounts with multiple requirements now display combined statuses such as Needs Renown + items.

Better Mount Hunting Guidance

• Added clearer How to Obtain and What to Do Next information.
• Improved descriptions for vendors, quests, achievements, and dungeon or raid encounters.
• Improved handling of mounts with multiple acquisition conditions or alternative sources.
• Added clearer distinctions between known acquisition sources and confirmed availability.

• Added compact hunting-progress summaries for tracked mounts.
• See known requirements and blockers directly in the Tracked list.
• Improved consistency between Collection, Tracked, Recommended, and Routes.

Interface & Quality-of-Life Improvements

• Redesigned and consolidated mount-detail information.
• Improved status labels throughout the addon.
• Removed repetitive acquisition descriptions and unnecessary warnings.
• Improved scrolling and content layout.
• Fixed minimap button artwork alignment.
• Improved reputation progress formatting.
• Improved presentation of already-collected mounts.

• Removed the /hi shortcut; /hoofit remains the main command.

Beta Notes

HoofIt is still in active development. Some mount acquisition information remains incomplete, and certain vendor restrictions, loot availability, and special acquisition conditions cannot yet be verified automatically.

Mount ownership is determined using Blizzard's Mount Journal. Acquisition guidance is informational and does not guarantee that a mount is currently obtainable or that a loot attempt is available.
