Things can drop... as shiny!

Every time you loot a piece of gear, there’s a chance it rolls as a Holofoil version of that item instead (animated foil effect on the icon, and animated Holofoil text in the tooltip). It’s just a little extra fun with every drop. There are different variations of foils with different rarities, including... secret ones. Enchanting an item gives it another chance at becoming holofoil, but cannot be re-enchanted for endless attempts.

• Fully automatic. Holofoil checks your bags and equipped gear on login and whenever anything changes, including gear you already owned when you installed it. No setup, no commands needed.

However just in case, you can run "/holo scan all" upon logging in to do a retroactive check immediately. And /holo shows how many foil items you’ve found so far.

You can share holofoil gear you've found and link items directly to friends in whispers, party chat and guild chat, as well as inspect one another! I did not intend for trade/general/zone chats or /say to be supported.
